We therefore decided to leave, as we no longer trusted the overall cleanliness.

We informed the hosts immediately and even offered to stay and review the issue together on-site, but this was declined. Communication throughout was slow and only happened after repeated follow-ups.

We then had to urgently find and pay for alternative accommodation, which caused additional costs and significant inconvenience. Despite this, the hosts only offered a refund of the cleaning fee. As we had booked 15 nights, the lost amount because of unused nights was immense!

What makes this particularly frustrating is that the apartment was rebooked for the unused dates after we left. This means the hosts effectively earned money again for the same period, while still refusing to provide us with a fair refund.

Overall, this situation was handled poorly, with slow communication and no reasonable resolution offered.

We would not recommend this property and will never book with Hometime again.

Accomodation described reasonably accurately. A home away from home with just about everything needed for a short stay. 4/5 for cleanliness & no clutter. 5/5 beds, sofa, table/chairs. 4/5 bedding, towels…..spotless, but towels were paper thin. Our family had a lovely stay at this apartment, the hosts were incredibly helpful and proactive, with great communications all throughout. The apartment was clean and spacious, set in a quiet location that was ideal for exploring north Queensland. We all very much hope to return for another stay!

I tried to call the Hometime number with no answer. Booking.com also tried to contact the hometime who have refused a refund…… and just to note hometime did not reply or answer one call to any of their phone numbers, even after hours emergency ….

This is beyond illegal, they have no care of the safety of guests. I will be lodging complaint with fair trading. Stay clear and do not use them for your property listing

If I could I would rate this company 0 stars. They promise the moon and deliver nothing but high fees, financial loss, poor management and heartache. phone calls that never eventuated. Dubious cancellations, extended stays and conflicting deceitful emails finally got to me and I decided to leave after more than 4+ months of losses and broken promises and they insisted on a early exit+ admin fee because I haven't stayed 6 months and lost more!!

Retaliatory host (Hosting Hobart - Hometime) - guests BEWARE!! into the lockbox, run upstairs into the apartment to get the garage buzzer, all while leaving the car running on a busy street with no easy visitor parking/ loading zones. I only spoke to them on one day out of our 5 day stay when THEY initiated the conversation.

I left them a 5 star review despite these issues, as the apartment was great, and I am not a petty person. I would’ve happily stayed there again despite the minor issues raised. Then they left me a retaliatory review, thinking I’d rate them lower for these issues. In their review, they said that I was in regular contact with them during my stay (I wasn’t, apart from the one day they requested feedback/ maintenance issues), and stated that all issues I reported were looked into and “the amenities were per the instructions provided”. Not sure how this relates to broken lamps, and my generic feedback about leaving garage buzzers in the lockbox for future guests. They also left me a 2 star rating to deliberately hurt my Airbnb account. All of my other ratings on Airbnb have been 5 stars. We followed all house rules and left the place immaculately clean - I daresay cleaner than we found it.

These hosts have only been on Airbnb for 3 years and it shows. They are unprofessional, immature, petty and retaliatory. WHATEVER YOU DO, if you stay at one of the properties they manage, do not fall into their trap of providing feedback/ maintenance issues during your stay, when they request it. Report any issues you had in your final review, otherwise you’ll suffer for it, like I did.

It is due to hosts like this that I have no desire to use Airbnb. Their conduct has been flagged to Airbnb and I’ve been told sanctions applied to their account. After reading our message exchanges, Airbnb agreed their conduct was retaliatory and completely unacceptable.

lovely bonus, and parking on the street was easy and never an issue. Check-in was seamless, and the team’s communication was excellent throughout. A very enjoyable and memorable stopover — we’d definitely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Dom’s place was just the place we needed. Extremely clean, neat and well presented with all the comforts of home. The cutest one bedroom apartment. Plenty of skylights letting in natural light. Had everything you could possibly need for a stay. Private and self contained. We loved our stay and would definitely come back.

We stayed in the apartment, The Outlook in Adelaide, hosted by Hometime. It is definitely 5 star : 10 out of 10! The place was super clean, very comfortable and a lovely space to call home for our extended stay. Great care has been taken by Hometime to present luxury accomodation close to the city. Janet’s and Marcus’ home was so homely, cosy and comfy. It had everything we could have possible needed and was in a very quiet street lined with heritage buildings. Not far into the CBD and a short drive to Unley Shops. Would absolutely recommend should anyone be heading to Adelaide. Show reply

Annie home was a great find. It was in a fantastic location with easy access to public transport to the city and other major attractions. The area had beautiful boutique shopping, lovely coffee shops and pubs and restaurants. The house was spotless clean and slept 6 of us very comfortably.
