Very good value for money vacuum cleaner – I have a small unit, 60 sqm². Bought this Hoover 3000 about 8-9 years ago. The upside: Very good suction. Easy to operate . Good for both carpets and hard surfaces . Easy to change bags. It really does the job if you have a small unit. On the downside, It is noisy, though. Requires frequent cleaning of the filters. Unit can easily tip over… Read more
unless you are careful. Bags capacity is small.
Overall it's a good product given it's entry level price.
It works only for a short time – The vacuum capacity decreases as the filter gets dirty. You can't get the parts as the store doesn't sell them. Now, I am thinking get rid of this one for longer time. Show details
The best little vacuum cleaner I've owned – I bought this vac about 6 years ago from Godfrey's at Tweed Heads, Qld and while I was using it today I realised what a great little, no nonsense cleaner it has been. Yeah it's a bit old school and it's not designed for big jobs but I have certainly put it through its paces over the years and have knocked it about time and time again. The bloke… Read more
who sold it to me said that as long as I emptied the canister after every use it would serve me well and I have done just that and it continues to work great. After every third or fourth use I wash out the foam filter. It's a bit cumbersome but I've also used it to vacuum out my firebox and cement dust from a slab floor I laid and it still keeps keeping on. I think I paid less than $200 for it but can't quite remember the price. If you own one of these and think it's not working trying cleaning out the foam filter and see how it goes.
Excellent Vacuum Cleaner – I bought this product 1 and half year ago, Thing i like about it is very less stress on the back due to power head. It clears away all pet's hair and dust. My mrs had a sever allergy , since we are using this vacuum, allergy attacks frequency has reduced. Show details
Not family friendly. Worst vacuum ever – This is the worst vacuum I have ever owned! It does a better job of moving stuff all over the floor than actually sucking it up. The only way it will suck stuff up is if you move it slowly over the area a couple of times, and it will still miss some peices. It also clogs and loses suction easily. It constantly needs to be unclogged and… Read more
emptied, even the the particles are dry and small! It struggles with anything larger than a crumb.
Not what you want when you have a young family to clean up after and don't enjoy taking slow strolls around the house with a vacuum.
I hope nobody else who wishes to return the vacuum gets told that your housekeeping skills must be lacking if my floor gets "that bad", the vacuum wont work and it is "user error" that is the problem! No, being obnoxious doesn't change the fact every other vacuum brand I have used has actually worked and this brand doesn't.
I don't recommend this vacuum. Dodgy product.
Fairly good product – This product does a pretty good job. Reasonable price, great performance. However, you must open the cover and clear away all the dust and hair inside EVERY TIME after doing the vacuum. If you don't clear the dust frequently enough, the filter will need to be replaced very often. The replacement filter is expensive. Show details
It has a small canister but is perfect for people who have limited mobility – I have this as a second vacuum for days when my strength is limited. It is a light vacuum and therefore perfect for elderly or limited mobility people. It is not really a quiet vacuum, my dog still barks at it however it is easy to maneuver. I have mostly carpet floors with a small amount of old tiles. This vacuum struggles on my tiles. The… Read more
canister is small and therefore has to be emptied twice when vacuuming my small unit. I assume it will get worse the bigger your house is.
The hoover Performer 3010R2 is the worst vacuum cleaner – This is the worst vacuum cleaner I ever used. It will NOT pick up any object bigger then a grain of sand. First time and only I used it, had to continually go over the same area and it still didn't clean the carpet. I finally had to put the "combined Floor Tool above any object that wasn't picked and lower it onto the object. The previous… Read more
vacuums I used would take me 40 minutes to vacuum 4 rooms and a hallway. But with the Hoover Performer 3010R2 I spent around 20 minutes in the lounge room and it still wasn't clean. A vacuum cleaner can be light, quiet and easy maneuver but if it's not performing it's primary function to clean floors, then anything else is meaningless.
I do not recommend the hoover Performer 3010R2.
Average – Honestly not the biggest fan of this vacuum cleaner but it does its job. We probably use it once a week in a three bedroom house. Its suction is very average but seems okay for a 'cheaper' vacuum - however i have found that the suction is wearing out as time goes on. It is noisy but no more than your average cleaner. It works better on carpets… Read more
than on floor boards and tiles. My friend has the same model and had problems with the electrical cord. Is okay for price.
Good for small areas – I have floor boards .l had to sweep the floors first, then use the vacuum. The suction was good, but slowed down with use. As you have to empty it with each use. I found that most of the dirt seemed to get stuck in the vacuum tube, which l had to pull out. The Show details
Poor suction – It was a case of you get what you pay for. It came with the floor head and a 2 in 1 crevice which was useless did not work. The suction is ok but not great. The only problem is the filters. It clogs after a few weeks of use and tried to clean them and now their ruined. Also the metal tube has rust on it and it is only ONE YEAR OLD Show details
The only thing worse in this review is the vacuum itself – And I think I suck I think of Monica Lewinsky... that was before I use this vacuum cleaner. I don't mean it was memorable for it's suction power or it's high performance I just think it sucked. Call craftsmanship and shodily made. It comes with bells and whistles which fail to distract you from the poor quality Show details
Great value for the price – Bought the Hoover Performer bagless in 2013. My wife's a tailor so the cleaner gets used every day in her workroom and once a week around the rest of the house. It's worked like a charm every day, but being a handyman helps to repair minor faults and breakages. To be precise - the hing on the lid broke, but was repaired with aluminium. The rear… Read more
filer kept falling off so I left it off. I dropped the canister and oone hinge broke - not neded anyway.
I clean the two filters every week. I simply hose out the fibre filter and squeeze wash the sponge filter until the water is clean - hang them on the clothes line to dry.
I am very happy with this cheap ;little cleaner - I'd be happier if Hoover used metal parts instead of plactic on stressed parts.

Not bad – Yes bought this from Godfreys . Strong power which I am happy with performance of sucking up fluff from carpet. It's not quite sounds like a vacuum . Great as no bags to buy . It's my first bagless . I vacuum 1 bedroom unit . Been good . I always keep receipt in case something goes wrong Show details
Doesn't start up – Use for 23 months, use every fornight 20 minutes each time. Now it just doesn't start. I check everything still new, I guess it the start button or fuse blown out in it. I had it for $99. I guess thats hoover quality. Best recommend to stay away from Hoover. Show details
Perfect for a single person living alone – The Hoover 3000 Performer is just right for someone living alone in a unit. It's easy to store in a small place, its wand standing upright when not in use. This is a bagged cleaner: I guess my only concern is the small size of the bags, but then again - that's understandable because this is a nice compact product. It is quiet, light to move… Read more
around, has great suction, and changing the bag or filter is easy and well-explained in the comprehensive operating manual. Works just as well on tiles as carpets.
I haven't bought a better vacuum cleaner – I am very happy with the vacuum cleaner it has variable speed it sucks really good sometimes I slow it down for that reason. If you going to buy a vacuum cleaner get this don't need anything more. It even looks like it's fast. The attachments is all you need. *Hoover is it.* Show details
Very happy! – Great suction, easy to manuvoer and compact in size which makes it easy to store. I have a 2 year old so I vacuum almost daily and so far it has handled the thrashings I give it without a single issue. My sister in law has the exact same model and is just as happy as I am. Good Value – The good points are; Low price, I paid $99 but I understand they have been available as low as $69. It carries the Hoover brand, comes with a 12 month warranty and seems to be generally well built. It works very well and has a good carpet/hard floor tool. It has basic crevasse, fabric and brush tools. The telescopic (metal) wand is easy to… Read more
store. The compact design also makes it easy to store..
The not so good features are; Power cord too short, a little bit noisy and runs far too hot, this leaves a general "plasticy" smell when the cleaner is used. The hot running could also result in a short life time for this cleaner.
Overall it seems to be a good budget priced machine very suitable for a smaller apartment.
Surprisingly good for the price – We bought this vacuum as we wanted a cheap bagless while renovating (didn't want to blow up the Dyson with plaster dust). Given the price of $69 we weren't expecting much but were pleasantly surprised. After 10 months of daily use and a lot of heavy duty use it's still going and the Dyson is sitting unused in the cupboard. It's great on hard… Read more
floors, we've used it on straight concrete, ceramic tiles and vinyl tiles. Our carpet is super cheap and old so not even the Dyson can do much with it but we are happy with its performance. On our newer carpet it does an ok job.
It's got good suction however does block with larger objects and has to be taken apart, which is easy to do, to clear blockage.
I'd recommend this product.
No good – Engine burnt out after 12.5 months, warranty is 12 months. Used it once or twice a month in a 1 bedroom apartment with timber floors. Hoover refused to repair without paying a service fee tantamount to the initially price of the product. Absolutely no good.
Hoover 3000 Vacuum "Died" Early! – I had posted a review about this Hoover 3000 bagged vacuum cleaner. I need to update my review. I have used this vacuum cleaner only occasionally, such as say twice a month on average for a small house. It had very good suction but a very high pitch noise on "max" suction settings. Well, this morning it seemingly overheated and just "died." This… Read more
not good at all as I didn't use it a lot at all. Therefore, I change my opinion to "not recommended."

So far so good – Got this little machine just recently and it's working perfectly fine. Good suction (I have carpet), ideal size for my apartment and very easy to set up. I'll review again in 6 months time to see hopefully this vacuum cleaner is still working as today and hasn't let me down.
Pleasantly surprised :) – My vacuum died and i was in need of a replacement. So I hunting for a good vacuum under $350 but couldnt decide. So my husband suggested waiting a bit (to save up) for a REALLY good one and get a small cheap one in the mean time. I got this one. Its brilliant! I was plesantly surprised at just how well its works :D It has awesome suction for… Read more
such a tiny vac!
I vacuum hardwood floors and a few rugs, works great on both.
Doesnt have a powerhead, but i have mostly hardfloors.
The multiple filters work VERY well, and I have dogs and allergies.
I have a bad back, so this little thing is a great size, aslo easy to store in the cupboard.
Have to empty it out every few uses (depending on the size of your home), but its really easy to get into.
Only downside (if any) was the washing out of foam filters every 5-6 uses. But that wasnt even really a problem considering i dont have to buy bags :)
If your wanting a cheap small vac for an apartment or small home, these are a great choice. Very happy customer :)
Sucks well, but clogs up at the slightest excuse! – The cleaner is small and compact but very poorly designed. The suction is excellent, but dust collected has to pass through two chambers arranged side by side. The first has a built-in conical filter which prevents anything but fine dust passing through. This means that fluff, hair, small scraps of paper and dead insects all collect in the first… Read more
chamber, which can only be accessed by dismantling the collection unit (removing four screws) and hooking out the massed detritus with a piece of bent wire. The only way to avoid clogging is to go over the carpet with a hand-held vacuum first - so that the Hoover is then only used for 'finishing'.
cheap compact powerful – cant beat this for small house we have 1 carpted room so perfect for small jobs easy to manover my 5 year loves vacuming with this thanks for a great quality product simple and easy to clean as well , when something is stuck up the tube light goes on what a fab idea easy for my daughter to manover
Not bad value for an apartment, not suitable for a house or large carpeted areas – I bought the Hoover 3010 for $150 18 months ago when living in a small 2bedroom apartment. The price dropped a week or so later and is now $99 in most stores. It works well on laminate floors. Performance is ok only on carpet - I have to push the head down hard and make multiple passes to collect visible dirt. It often gets clogged (hair and dust… Read more
especially) and needs a full cleaning regularly to maintain it's top performance. Since moving to a 3 bed 2 bathroom house it really struggles. We have to empty it mid-clean and sometimes even clean the filter twice during one cleaning as it's clogged with fine particulates. For the price paid it's mediocre, but for $99 in a small apartment it could be reasonable (not good) value. The head is fine for what it is but be aware it's static with no "power" or "roller brush". Construction of the dust bin is good quality although design means many things can clog up the small choke points throughout (leaves, paper, clumps of dust etc). Cleaning it is easy, you just have to do it often. It hasn't broken down which is a small plus. Small, affordable Requires cleaning frequently to maintain suction, noisy, lacklustre performance on carpet.
Ok for small areas and pet free home – We bought this a year ago but have probably used it less than 10 times - we have 4 cats and it just can't handle the amount of hair on our carpets. We have just upgraded to a Vax Zen Pet. I think this vacuum would be fine if you only had a small area to cover and no pets. I had one similar when I was at university and it worked great, and… Read more
didn't take up much space. Compact size (easy to store), price (cheap) It didn't do a great job on pet hair. Filled up too quickly.
This is a failure – This vacuum is noisy and only works well until it gets overwhelmed by dust- which does not take much. When vacuuming the inlet pipe into the dust storage canister chokes up regularly. The dust canister is too small. The inlet pipe prone to clogging easily. We gave up and bought another vacuum. Efficient (until it clogs up) Price. Under capacity .Bad inlet pipe and storage canister design.
Love it – Bought this to replace a terrible bagless stick. Didn't expect much for the $99 price (Godreys), but wow, was I impressed. My 'Red Devil' (as I've nicknamed it) is a little dynamo. Cleans my small flat quickly and easily. Nice length metal rods so no bending. Not a lot of attachments, but enough to do normal cleaning in a small to medium sized… Read more
home. Paper bags easy to replace and it has a dust indicator. Has variable suction level and can be a bit nosiy on high, but no worse than the old stick. Only thing I can find to whinge about is the cord is a bit short. A great all round little vacuum. Power cord is a bit short/
