So I have been given the run around for 2 weeks now I have a hoover smart wash and I need the screw cap for the solution tank! Facsmcw20a hoover tells me they can’t help me go to Bunnings order it through them they were dealing with it only to ring me and tell me they can’t help me ring hoover again then Hoover said they can’t help me go to Godfrey’s from who I bought it from ! They told me that I have to bring the whole machine in they send it away ALL FOR Just WANTING THE CAP! Absolute Joke!
Julie, do you mean the screw cap of the clean water tank that sits above the dirty water tank? Because there is no screw cap where the solution solution bottle sits in a bottle connection behind the smart wash handle. I would advise to take a picture of the tank, with your mobile to show Hoover where the screw top is missing, so that they can send you the right one. Or if you live close to Godfreys, take the smart wash to them and ask them to order a replacement of the missing part.
No I mean for the solution tank
I did go to Godfrey’s with the part and they want me to take my whole machine in so they can send it away to order it ! Absolute joke

Where can I find a manual for the Hoover Smartwash facsmcw20a onlline?? I am not getting suction unless I use the hose. The cleaning solution leaks horribly and with the hose it's not sucking up the dirty water. I've thoroughly cleaned the device, all parts are solidly in place and I've tried to resolve the matter through YouTube without any results. Thank you.
contact Hoover directly, they might do something about it and send you another Manual or get your Smartwash repaired or even replace yours with another one. You need to know when and from whom you bought yours, from Hoover directly or from a Retailer .
How much does it cost to replace the solution tank...it's leaking everywhere.

I was using my Hoover Smart Wash in the drying mode. It was behaving correctly. I stopped the machine to empty the tank. Now every time I start the machine the dry light flashes twice but the machine operates in the usual wash/dry mode. If I press the dry button, nothing happens. I have turned it off (even unplugged it for an extended period) and on again, to no avail.

Would like to know the best place to buy replacement parts. i have broken a small clip on the removable recovery nozzle and so it keeps moving and the aqua latch won't stay. just need to replace it. thanks.

Does the upholstery tool leave the chair or sofa very damp, and does it do a good streak free clean?
Hi Dougall, the upholstery tool is a manual process so you pull the trigger to remain in control of how much solution and water mix you apply to the chair or sofa. If the sofa is generally clean but in need of a refresh then you can use the solution mix sparingly. If the sofa needs a deep clean then don't be concerned if you apply more solution water mix to penetrate deeper down into the fabric. Needless to say, the machine offers strong extraction so whatever you lay down, the machine will pick back up again and deposit into the dirty water tank and leave the fabric looking great and definitely streak free. We recommend doing it on a warm day with plenty of fresh air circulating to help speed up the drying process. A couple of hours (in normal use) should be long enough for the fabric to dry. We hope this helps!

We also have a textured tile area in our home which are often difficult to clean in parts. Will this machine clean hard surfaces? Thanks.
Hi Sandra, I hope you are enjoying your SmartWash! The machine isn't really designed for hard floors and tiles. Some carpet washers come with a plastic squeegee that attaches to the front of the floorhead - this can quickly convert a carpet washer into a (temporary) hard floor cleaner. The SmartWash design doesn't allow for this but that doesn't mean you can't try it on a tiled floor (at a pinch). All floor types are different so we can't directly advise you but our general advice is to try it in an inconspicuous area to make sure the bristles are not scratching the surface. Assuming that is all good, be ready to mop up any excess water that hasn't been extracted by the machine. Good luck!
First time using, great result. But after cleaning the waste tank, the float value keeps sticking up after seconds of use and due to this won't work. Is there a way to fix this issue
Hi David haven’t come across that issue …looking at it nothing got caught up there like dirt or carpet where the float is from preventing it from moving freely or could be out of alignment slightly… otherwise call Hoover direct apologies

To Samantha L, why hasn’t she returned her product under warranty? It is obviously a faulty machine, which happens. Before it broke, how well did it clean? I am looking for reviews about the machine and ease of use. This is not a review but a complaint about a faulty machine. It’s a bit like the reviews on Amazon which complain about the condition that a book arrived in. Not an actual review at all!
My thoughts too why did she not return and get another one .sometimes these items can be faulty .
