Great value machine – I actually only started researching this vacuum as I require a spare hose for mine after it broke, and i saw how many negative reviews were on this page. We bought this machine nearly 5 years ago and it's been great! This is the first vacuum I've ever spent more than about $50 on, and it's travelled with us through numerous moves in the last few… Read more ·  1

years and never missed a beat. The part that broke is the connector between the hose and the rod, and to be honest i'm not that upset - it has a heavy head and all the pressure is on that one point when you lift it. For $80 i'm more than happy to buy it and keep using this vacuum. Does hair get stuck on the powerhead - yes - but i don't think you can have a roller brush that doesn't get hair stuck on it. It takes one screw and 2 minutes to take it apart and clean it, so this isn't a concern to me.Is the cord short - sort of - but i've never lived in a house that didn't require me to use an extension lead to get around the whole place if i didn't want to unplug it and plug it back in. It's quiet, works extremely well on all surfaces and has been used at least once a week for nearly 5 years with no issues. Would i buy one again - you bet!

Great....for about 2 years – When I first bought this vacuum I was amazed at how well it cleaned, how much dirt came up from the carpets and I loved this Hoover Vogue, it comes with accessories. It was easy to pull around, not too noisy and had great suction on both tiles and carpet...it was better on carpet than my Dyson ever was. The vacuum has easy to remove and wash… Read more

filters, worked really well and the power head has lights on it so you can see exactly where you were vacuuming, it was fantastic for picking up pet hair....for 2 years then the power head stopped working. I had it checked out where I purchased it and had to buy a new hose which wasn't cheap at $90 and was great for a couple of weeks then stopped working again. The regular head that comes with the vacuum is great for tiles but not very good at all on carpet. As much as I love this vacuum when the power head worked, I wouldn't buy another one of these, it's cheaper just to buy another vacuum rather than to keep on replacing parts.

Amazed! – I am totally in love with this product - my new favorite toy! I have been a dyson fan my entire life and would recommend to all my friends. However, I went in store to buy a carpet shampooer, convinced that that would solve my problem (because my dyson was sooo awesome - sarcasm - or so I thought!) I tried this product out, and I was sold on the… Read more

idea that I could try it and return it with no questions asked within 10 days. Totally will not be taking it back. I have 2 very hairy dogs, and I do my best to keep my house clean, but this product has made it so much easier. I was astounded at what my dyson was not picking up. This picked up 90% of the hairs I could see once I inspected my carpet, and that was only from a very quick vacuum. I can see the little vibration makes things jump up and suck everything with the light. I was thinking about the hoover brand, because I remember my mother used them - and her's lasted for years! So I think this is my new brand now. The power head is fantastic, even the small little one that comes with it. Easy to empty, and I thought I'd be annoyed that it has a small canister - but seriously - it takes like 2 seconds to change it over! And the best bit - my back no longer hurts from vacuuming. With my dyson it would ruin my back for like 2 days, and this hasn't hurt it at all! Its quite quiet as well, so I can still hear my music over the noise!

I love it!Di

This is a wonderful vacuum – This is a great price vacuum. It does well on carpet, hard floors and soft furnishings. Today I used my v11 outside then vacuumed with this after. I was shocked and impressed at how much it took out of my rug. Very light weight. Could do with a much longer power cord. Show details ·  1

Winner of them all!! – I recall the first time I purchased the Vogue Hoover & I immediately had cleaning fun. It’s flexible & sucks up the most tiniest bit of dirt. I have had three so far because I will never go for anything else due to its BRILLIANT performance. When it has broken down I go onto Gum Tree & look for them second hand. NEVER have I been disappointed!! Show details ·  1

Short life span – Bought this on behalf of my mother 5 years ago. Just found out the power drive has only been working intermittently for the past 2 years. Did some investigation and found very substandard wiring in the hose connection. Was told I would have to buy a whole replacement hose for $129, but shop assistant recommended a trade in. I wish I was told it would only last 3-5 years. Show details

hoover Vogue – we only have 2 rugs in our home and the rest is floorboards and tiles which is usually swept or mopped and although this vacuum does a good job at getting fluff off of the rugs its motor burnt out on me and I have only had it 5 years where as my previous vacuum lasted around 25. I am reluctant to get a new motor after reading another similar story… Read more

Efficient and easy to use vacuum – I quite like this machine. I had it given to me so I’m not sure how old it is. It works really well on carpets, floorboards and tiles. It is light to work with and is not at all heavy, and is easy to use and manoeuvre. Occasionally cottons get caught around the brush but this happens with every brand vacuum cleaner and every single power head you try. I use it weekly. Have never noticed it tipping over Show details

Pretty near perfect – The power head for carpets is amazing!! Works really well on older wood, unvarnished and rough wood floors as well as other non carpeted floors. The hard floor head is okay, needs a bit more sucking power. Other attachments are generally okay, too. With proper care - cleaning all the hoses properly, clearing the filters often, and zealous removal… Read more ·  1

Love it - 5+ years of trouble-free use! – My wife is a vacuum maniac, and vacuums at least twice a week. We also have a pet that lives indoors. Yet, the Hoover Vogue that we bought about 5-6 years ago has given us trouble-free use that whole time. Of course one expects that when paying a solid amount of money for an applicance, but unfortunately that is often not the case nowadays. … Read more

Well anyway, with our Hoover Vogue (bagless), that has been exactly the case. We just keep the power head clear by checking it and removing wrapped fibre strings every couple of months, and we also change the filters annually. We had it serviced once for free when we first bought it, but otherwise we just do it ourselves. No broken belts or other issues. Very happy purchaser here. We bought it at Godfreys Albury, and paid about $379 after negotiating, with 2 free services included. Worth every penny. Hopefully we get another 5 years out of it. Fingers crossed.

Got 5 solid years out of this - then human error happened – I loved this vacuum and the powerful motorhead. Unfortunately after 5 years, my husband used it to clean up a pile of plaster dust (a big no no with bagless vacs) and it no longer works that great. I didnt have any issues with build quality, every single part is still intact. The cord is a bit short and I'm not a fan of the mobility - it can tip… Read more

over if you're a rough cleaner - but I've found this with most vacs. Also the motorhead will often have hair wrap around it which you will need to cut off. If these nuances would annoy you then prob best to pass on this one.

Worst vacuum cleaner I've owned – I spent good money on this vacuum in a super xmas special at the time but the power head continually gets stuck with hair and other items, threads, dog hair, anything really. The tubes block and have to be pushed free of stuff with a bamboo stick. Don't get me wrong, I'm just doing normal vacuuming of carpets and hard floors. The filters block, the power head loses power - I'd never buy another Hoover.  Show details

This machine is disappointing – I also have to cut cotton, hair, that winds around the rollers. Machine won't stand up by itself. Gets blocked frequently and now, although I've checked everything, there is no suction left. I also paid $600 for this machine. Not sure when purchased - certainly within the last 3 years.  Show details

This is perfect! – I love this vacuum! It has 2 modes and they both work fantastically! Really great to get deep within the carpet and get the dirt. I haven't experienced any issues with tipping. This has been really great ever since we got a puppy who sheds as well. Would highly recommend this product.  Show details

Horrible vacuum cleaner – I was talked into buying this vacuum cleaner at Godfreys. Hair gets caught around the rollers. We have to cut it out. The head and inlet to vacuum continually block. It dosnt take long to fill. I will never trust Godfreys again for buying a vacuum cleaner. I have since found out this Godfreys brand. I was charged over $600 for it.  Show details

Hoover vogue – It’s not quiet it’s not heavy you can use it on any floor surface vinyl floor boards carpet, only problem is the area the dirt goescis not that big requires more emptying hose bends and have to un twist it .it picks up dirt good you can wash the pad inside and the dirt bowl you can wash that as well.  Show details

Does the job – It's an easy machine to use and suck very well. Have never had a problem. Good value. Not expensive not to cheap. What performance you expect in price range. Worst vacuum ever! – The lady at Godfreys insisted this was an excellent replacement for our well loved Dyson that lasted 12 years. are extremely hard to remove to switch between carpet and hard floor heads, the vacuum head does not get close to the walls so your left with an inch and a half un-vacuumed strip along the skirting boards and it pretty much needs cleaning out and unblocking every second time you use it. We went back to using the dyson and even not at its full potential due to its age its still going 4 years later I still always pick the dyson over the hoover. The Hoover Vogue is a gimmicky poor quality vacuum the Godfrey salespeople should be ashamed of themselves for pushing people into buying at over $500.

poor vacuum for price – our floors about are 50% wood and 50% carpet. After 3 years this vacuum has lost all power both on carpet and wood, cleaning the brushes in the head is a pain, filters fall off and will not hold on when we put them back on. Will never buy Hoover again!  Show details

It was really good for a few years – I got this vacuum with the power head - which gets out more dust than you would ever have thought was in your carpet. recently moved to a new place with a longer (but not long) rug, I was sad to find that the power head doesn't do anything with the pet hair on the rug (Still works well with the hand tool, but that's not very efficient).
