It's perfect!!! – Staff at Hotondo went above and beyond to make sure everything was done. Communication was kept up to date and the workmanship is fantastic and to a high standard. Any issues were dealt with and quickly resolved. My house was built in the time quoted and was within the amount quoted.. They even made sure my furbaby had a doggie door installed. Service – When drawing up plans for new home could not be more helpful. Even with our changes they were accomodating. No problems with any dealings they would listen to our concerns and drew up plans and then allowed us to modify or completely change items to suit. say obstructionist the local council was. Once we got through the approval process I would say Hotomdo pulled out all stops to make sure our build went as smoothly as possible. I would rate their workmanship as top self. We could not be happier with the results and any little issues we came across along the way were resolved with no problems at all, (and they were very few and minor to boot). Hotondo continues to be in contact with us a month after we had keys handover, which I might add was done on Good Friday, just to make sure that we have no issues arising, which we don't. Our tender price changed very little throughout the course of the build, only when we needed something to be a little extra (extra concrete and drainage solutions). We shopped around for builders and found Hotondo to be the cost effective and flexible with there floorplans which suited us perfectly. Overall we give Hotondo Newcastle the highest of recommendations and would not hesitate to build with them again if needed. We really do tell our friends about them and even put our new neighbors onto them when they were looking to build their new home, and they did.

Update: I could not recommend this company more highly. We've recently had a small issue (which we just discovered) and this family have been absolutely amazing. They were out to investigate the issue (and this is several years later) within hours of notifying them and are working quickly to rectify the issue. So impressed. knew we would be building through Hotondo Newcastle. Ashley went over and above even driving out to our land in his own time to understand what type of home would suit our requirements and our land. This was very important for us, as our land has an unusual slope; this required us to build a Split Level home. We sat with Karren, who was very patient with us to get the design, flow and requirements right for our home and our family, we had many changes, over and over again we asked for amendments and it was no problem at all. We always felt we could ask for anything and it was no issue at all. Our design was a custom design.

The relationship with Hotondo, right from the start built a strong foundation. Showing us that Hotondo were willing to work with us and adapt to our needs and wants as the project went along. We got everything we wanted for the budget we had.

Scott was our supervisor, he communicated very well with us, remaining very open, honest and upfront during the entire build. It’s so important to have a Supervisor who communicates well during the build. The build progressed very well and so easy, Scott was happy to work with us during the build to make additional changes without charging us huge variation costs to do so. This showed us again that Hotondo Newcastle are there to help and meet our requirements.

We would not hesitate at all to contact Hotondo Newcastle for our next build or to recommend them to others.

we were in our new home within 5 months from commencement of construction! We have heard many horror stories from people that have built homes with various building companies and were a little anxious at the beginning of the process. With that and our budget in mind, prior to finalising the purchase of our land, we were eager to know what the whole build was going to cost us, so there were no surprises. We had also spoken to a couple of the larger companies, however were left with a lot of uncertainty as to price, and felt like we were just another house to them. Despite being over a public holiday weekend, the team at Hotondo Lake Macquarie exceeded our expectations to put together plans and prices so we could make an informed decision about our purchase with peace of mind as to price. We felt very comfortable with the team from our first phone call. Everyone was upfront, honest and there were no hidden surprises along the way. Of course there were a couple of variations along the way as we had never built before, however they were all well received and carried out. Even now we have moved in, we have had a couple of small issues with services (none of them to do with Hotondo), however Scott (site supervisor) has gone out of his way to assist us to sort them out, even where it was not his responsibility to do so. If we ever build again, the team at Lake Macquarie would most certainly be the first people we contact.

hotondo did it for $5000.

My bushfire also level came back at a 12.5, rather than a 29 (which my neighbours came in at..building with another project home builder). Coral also charged extra for "h" slab, when hotondo's came back at an M class. Clearly another way of making more $$$.

Little things like making changes throughout is also a big one for me. Coral wanted to charge $100/change after contracts signed, Hotondo nothing.Oh & also they are local builders, so understand council regs,areas etc.

I can not rate them highly enough so far & oh so quick( they started digging one week after it had come out of council.)

Will def. be building with them again I call or email a question & have an answer promptly or the end of the day asthe owner is in the office. The admin & other staff are so friendly & helpful, making building a pleasure rather thean stressful. In the building process, yet to have one
