Beware! Very open to identity fraud and privacy violations
Have never used this service (and never will) but received a letter of demand saying I owed $200+ for something that was bought fraudulently on credit in my name. Then they made me jump through hoops to prove it wasn't me via online fraud reports, stat decs and proving my identity.
How about you check the identity of people thoroughly BEFORE you let them set up account?
Terrible business model that makes it much easier for online criminals to rack up credit in other people's names.

I am very thankful for this service
I've had 3 transactions with humm so far my first one was on the 03/07/2019 for nearly $1200.00 the second one was on the 31/07/2019 for nearly $220 the first only has a few payments left the 2nd was paid off before time and the 3rd was on 28/08/2019 for nearly $1400.00 I've not had any issues with their customer service representative I've only had to contact them twice by phone and I was only on hold for a minute or two before I was speaking to a Australian customer service representative and both times they assisted me with me enquires and we're very professional, my only gripe would be that because I manually make my payments on or before the due date that the system possibly does recognize the consistency of my payments. Apparently due to the system is setup as a direct debit system and I did say so because I'm making manual payments usually before time it's not recognized? And she said yes possibly but she could forward my enquiry on to the accounts department for review. Humm needs to update the system so that the system detects manual and direct debit payments alike or put things in place for people that make manual payments before time, otherwise I couldn't be happier with my service to date and while I continue to receive the service I have in the past then I'll continue using humm for my purchases that I'd prefer to pay over time. Application process was streamlined received a determination in minutes and was up and shopping all and all been a great experience I must admit considering the service I've received I was very surprised to read all the negative reviews towards this company.
Took money from me and haven't paid the shop..the shop is harrassing me now
They took money from my account for a repair job from mobile mechanic but haven't paid the mechanic.his lawyer is now onto me but humm's support representative doesn't care about it. always says they can do nothing finance department is not responding.they are bloody taking installments from me fortnightly.Will never use them again in life. Going to complain to ACCC and never recommend them to anyone.afterpay is much better.

Started out with Certegy then I'm guessing it merged with Humm.
Customer service is non existant, representatives refused to send details in an email as to not have a paper trail.
A direct debit failed so they Charged late fees multiple times even though we paid it via bpay. Not interested in resolving the issue, didn't want to know about it.
Totally rude and uninterested in customer service.
Never will I ever use them again. Absolutely disgusting service.
I do not recommend humm at all, they will take your money, cancel your order with no notice at all.. Apparently refund takes upto 10 business days and when you ask for information their customer service have their heads so far up there back to give a crap.

On multiple occasions i have had to contact Humm about taking out unauthorized payments, (double charging and what not) had to deal with customer service agents who are completely uninterested in being there, or helping for that matter. They cannot seem to resolve the most simplest issues like taking twice the amount they are supposed to and just simply refunding it and stopping it from happening in the future. Honestly, just go use ZipPay or Afterpay instead, at least they seem to know what theyre doing.

Avoid Hummm, poor on every account and extremely difficult to get refunds from
I have used Zip and Afterpay and was on a website that only provided the Humm option for partial repayment so I created an account for the purchase. I was approved and purchased item online, unfortunately Item sent from retailer was wrong item and I so got a return approved. Humm still kept taking money from my account for months despite this and when I rang them to sort out, they only partially refunded me and insisted the retailer had to provide the rest as it was them who debited that money. Checked with bank and it was definitely humm who took the money and I had to chase them up for weeks to get my full refund. Was very difficult to sort out via their website which is poorly designed and everyone I spoke to at humm passed me from one person to another. They are a terrible company and definately are to be avoided at all cost.
More hassle than its worth!
My partner and I decided it was time for a new ducted air con system for our house. We had received two quotes and had made our choice. The suppling company offered Humm as a payment option as we thought we would pay for half and finance half. The total cost was $9,000. I'm pretty old school when it comes to finance and have never used this type of service before but thought I'd give Humm a go. I applied online but when it asked for my online bank account password & registration number alarm bells went off. I called Humm for an explanantion and they told me that's how they do pre approvals and its normal? I told them no one gets my bank account password and registration number, I'd be breaching my contaract with the bank etc etc.. I asked if I can e mail my bank statements through (they want to see your income flows... No was the response.) Conversation went nowhere so I called my bank ANZ to make sure I wasn't completely out of touch with modern finance solutions and their answer was "do so at your own risk - don't give out your password". I didn't bother with the approval....too hard. Also during the application Humm wants your employers phone number which I entered but it wouldn't accept the number saying it was not a valid number? Turns out the system doesn't accept mobile ph numbers. Enough said I was over Humm before I could even get going. I'll either save the money or just use my credit card because its just easier. At least with the bank you know what your in for.
Good in theory, poor execution.
With massive competition from Afterpay and ZipPay, you'd expect Humm to have a similarly user-friendly app and website. Instead, I've had to call multiple times to get a payment done because of both their website and app sending me back to the homepage instead of continuing, as well as generally not letting me change my default card in the first place.
Avoid it if you can.
Charge to my credit card for an account I haven't set up! NO TRANSPARENCY
Discovered a Humm Australia charge on my credit card statement - which I didn't recognise, so I rang my bank to investigate after googling it myself. All they could advise is that it is a recurring charge & that I will need to cancel my card to prevent further charges. The bank suggested logging in to my Humm account to check what I'd bought. However, this is not possible because I have never set up an account (I am averse to the monthly fees etc). The only contact number of course only operates during work hours. I can't find a livechat option to help. So I must now wait til tomorrow to find out what this is all about.
DON'T use this service. ZipPay is better.
This crowd are so poorly run they have put me into collections just one business day after sending an email to confirm that my balance has been paid in full [a year early]. They are refusing to close my account - instead leaving it "inactive without monthly fee charges". As a result my credit score is negatively impacted and I have to take a mortgage with a higher interest rate. DON'T use this service. ZipPay is absolutely genius.

What an amazing service. Was quick and easy to use even after the transition from oxipay. Had no hassles in using humm and best of all it was a service for my car done by lubemobile. Thanks
Refused purchase by store using Humm
We are vip customers with $10,000 no deposit required. Went to a store to make several big purchases for our business and manager refused to honour it. Was told only $6000 limit which after us phoning humm was then reduced to $1500 on managers store computer and no vip status! However our account still states vip and $10,000 limit??? A very embarssing experience. Store manager was extremely unhelpful and rude...
What an amazing product with easy & convenient repayment options, that too interest free!! Loved this product & will definately suggest to more. One of the best products out there. Happy humm-ing.
Stick to Afterpay
I only signed up with then Oxipay because it was used by my hair Salon. After being so so messed around by Humm I am going to tell the salon how dodgy humm is and hopefully they will move to afterpay. Or I will move salons. Humm does seem so very proud of how poor their customer service is so they don’t care. But store owners might care. And meanwhile afterpay is rapidly expanding.
I went to Bing Lee yesterday to get some new appliances. So glad they have Humm. Worked seamlessly and now I can spread the payments out over a couple of months.
Was given a certain amount to spend. Spent that knowing i could afford repayments. Humm then contacted one of the places i ordered from, and got them to cancel my order.
Hadn't defaulted, as first time using it.
They have now changed my balance to spend to zero.
Haven't received my $235 i paid as first payment on my cancelled order back either. No contact to explain anything, despite clearly having my phone number and email. Will only be using other payment plan options now instead.
Wish I could give a no star review
Signed up with oxlipay, turned into Humm. Paid my dues on time, tried to change an account for it to come out of, didn’t work, was behind a payment. Then locked out of my account, couldn’t change account details. Emailed, called, nothing. After months of deliberating, I found a bpay code on my original bill, used that and never using this ridiculous service again. Afterpay all the way, or Zippay, or I’ll bloody pay cash... anything to avoid using these idiots again.
