company when I engaged Toyota Penrith to purchase a Toyota HiAce van. Before proceeding, I specifically asked the dealer whether I would become personally liable if the company was deregistered or became bankrupt. I was told that I would not.

I took the dealer at his word and proceeded with the purchase and finance.

Unfortunately, the company later became insolvent, the vehicle was repossessed and sold, and MoneyMe/Toyota Finance is now pursuing me personally for the alleged shortfall.

My understanding was that a Pty Ltd company is a separate legal entity. I relied on the general principles under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), including s 119, s 516, s 588G and s 601AD(1), and, more importantly, I specifically asked the dealer about personal liability before signing up.

I now feel completely scammed and misled. If I had been told clearly that I could personally be chased for a substantial shortfall after repossession, I would have thought twice before entering into the arrangement.

This has been an absolutely appalling experience. Shonky, unprofessional and extremely disappointing. I am seeking legal advice regarding the matter and intend to pursue the appropriate legal avenues regarding the dealership's representations and the finance arrangement. Also will be contacting Currenr Affair.

Very easy to apply. They should be able to give you a rough estimate on interest you’ll pay though. But overall very convenient and seemless. Minimal paperwork required and online approval.

unknown to me, my card was deactivated- I should have been told beforehand. I had to reapply through the whole loan process to use it again after returning to work..my application was denied because I hadn't been back at work long enough, even though it was the same company. Moneyme debits my repayments due every fortnight. Every fortnight I am overdue according to them, even though theyre in charge of the transaction. I have called about this in the past. It happens frequently. Ive just checked the app and once again, Im listed as overdue! How?! Are they doing this to creat more interest?. Ive just called moneyme, but was on hold. So, Im leaving a review. Not happy, never will use them again. Interest is rough also.

I could not be any happier with the service I was provided with from this company. MoneyMe were very quick and thorough throughout the process and were able to give us an amazing and affordable plan ahead. MoneyMe made the process very easy and continue to do so through their app which you can view and manage your loan. Would definitely recommend this company for those looking to get genuine support and affordability :)

My broker organised the loan for me he was really good but the interest rate is high if I had of known it was this high before I brought the van I would have looked elsewhere and probably will look at refinancing in the future so not happy with that and being woken at 4am by this message I’m quite pissed

I had pre-approved credit for a 7 years loan for a vehicle, flew all the way to Sydney to get the car, when the money was about to hit the seller’s account they said they made a mistake and couldn’t finance the car. It was the most horrible and diminishing experience of my life.

Fast and simple loan application that was approved quickly and competitive interest rate that has no penalties for extra or early payments. Also with the use of an app for easy repayments and to keep track of the loan.

The whole experience with MoneyMe was great, especially when I bought the car. It was a private sale not a dealer so there was a few more hoops to jump but they made it easy and quick. Applying for a loan and you are self employer or sole trader? Very disappointed with my experience with MoneyMe. I made multiple calls to advise the application process did not correctly fit my circumstances as a sole trader, however staff repeatedly advised they “don’t really look at that anyway” and mainly use bank statements. allowed one bank account to be connected, which didn’t even include my savings account or fully reflect my financial position. The online application also appears designed only for wage earners and does not properly assess sole trader income. When I called about this, I was told I would be sent the correct form — only to receive the exact same link again.

What’s most frustrating is I already have an existing loan that is years ahead in repayments, clearly showing I can manage financial commitments and service the much smaller amount applied for. Instead of properly assessing the application, it feels like the process was automated without consideration of actual circumstances, or asking if I had additional documents to support my financial position.

Now I’m left with a credit enquiry impacting my credit score from what I believe was an incomplete and inaccurate assessment process. Feels like being punished twice.

Would not recommend for sole traders or self-employed applicants to apply direct, maybe different via brokers.

Recently tried to reinstall the Money Me Virtual Card into my Apple Wallet and it wouldn't work. No luck with Apple Watch either. Rang technical support and they issued a new card which meant that I had to change all my regular payments to reflect the new card. Now the new card doesnt work on any of my devices. my Visa Debit Card and Zip Card to the Apple Wallet but no luck with Money Me. Hard work getting someone at Money Me to fix the problem as they all say that it should work. I have outlined to the organisation the various devices I have issues with and these have the latest operating systems. Found their website as basic at best and their credit card interest rates remained unchanged when the rates continued to be cut by the RBA, yet they adjust them very quickly in the latest environment. Look towards a more professional organisation for your financial matters if possible.

Money Me has rectified my issues and I am happy to continue with the company. I appreciate their attention to this matter.
