2020 Hyundai Tucson TL Series II Engine Failure – $12,000 Repair, Poor Reliability Bought: 2024 (second-hand) Location: Melbourne, VIC Model: 2020 Hyundai Tucson TL Series II (add variant if known) ❌ Hyundai Tucson Engine Failure (Major Issue) I purchased a 2020 Hyundai Tucson TL Series II expecting a reliable SUV, but after only 17 months… Read more
(and 120,000km), the vehicle developed serious issues.
The car started losing power and was assessed by Hyundai Service Centre Frankston, where it was diagnosed with: Internal engine failure Repair cost quoted: approximately $12,000
For a relatively modern vehicle, this level of engine failure and repair cost is unacceptable.
Hyundai Tucson Reliability Concerns
This vehicle had:
Full service history Regular servicing Oil changed and checked consistently (never low)
Despite proper maintenance, the engine still failed. Hyundai suggested lack of oil, despite no evidence to suggest this was the cause and additionally does not reflect how the vehicle was maintained.
This raises serious concerns about Hyundai Tucson reliability and engine durability, particularly for the 2020 model.
⚠️ Cost and Inconvenience Vehicle has been undriveable since October 2025 Still paying finance on a non-working car Ongoing transport costs and inconvenience
A $12,000 engine replacement on a vehicle like this is not something a reasonable consumer would expect.
Customer Service & Warranty Experience
My experience with Hyundai Customer Service has been extremely frustrating:
Multiple follow-ups with little to no response for 6 months No clear accountability by Hyundai No goodwill repair offered despite the Warranty ending approx 3 months prior to the issue arising. Dealer also declined responsibility I have been forced to submit a VCAT application under Australian Consumer Law to attempt to have my situation remedied.
For such a major failure, the lack of support is very disappointing.
⚖️ Known Hyundai Engine Problems
After researching, I found that Hyundai engine problems and failures have been widely reported, including complaints relating to engine reliability. I have found information that states that this model has now been discontinued.
This suggests my experience may not be an isolated case.
Final Verdict – Would I Recommend a Hyundai Tucson?
No! Based on my experience with engine failure, repair cost, and lack of support, I would not recommend the 2020 Hyundai Tucson.
A vehicle in this category should not experience catastrophic engine failure so early in its life.
Pros Comfortable SUV (before engine failure)
Cons Engine failure Expensive repair cost Poor reliability Lack of customer support
Has anyone else had Hyundai Tucson engine problems or failure? Would be interested to hear if this is common.
Hyundai Engine Failure (there are plenty of us who have been through it) – Engine blew up a month out of warranty. Exclusively serviced by Hyundai for 5 years. Ignored by Hyundai Customer Care for 8 months. Hyundai suddenly agreed to replace it for free (strangely just before there was an official government recall on blown up Tucson engines). Anyway, used to get good service from them, they clearly have a problem they… Read more
were trying to get out of. Anyone in the same horrible position have a look at the Hyundai and Kia Engine Failure Australia facebook page for some horror stories about how appalling their customer service is when something serious happens to your Hyundai and how they try to avoid their responsibility under Australian Consumer Law. Good luck.
⚠️ Extremely Disappointed – Avoid Hyundai (and Kia) I strongly advise anyone considering purchasing a Hyundai—or Kia, which shares many of the same components—to think twice. In fact, avoid at all costs. I purchased a 2019 Hyundai Tucson Diesel Highlander brand new, and it has now been sitting unused for nearly a year while I remain in dispute… Read more
with Hyundai over an engine failure issue. This appears to be a widespread and ongoing problem, as confirmed by multiple class actions both in Australia and overseas. Despite the vehicle being under warranty (5 years into a 7-year extended warranty) and maintained according to Hyundai’s required service schedule, my claim for an engine replacement was denied, with Hyundai alleging “engine sludge” caused by misuse—an accusation that is both incorrect and insulting. The car has never been modified and has only been driven in normal street and highway conditions whilst also maintaining a service record with oil changes at the prescribed intervals Initial issues with faulty fuel injectors were acknowledged and replaced under warranty after significant delays, but Hyundai then claimed the entire engine required replacement. What followed has been months of back-and-forth, repeated requests for claim resubmissions, and ongoing stalling tactics, often justified as “internal Hyundai coding” or “process requirements.” Upon further investigation, the faulty injectors are likely cause of the catastrophic engine failure, a point made clear in a lawyers letter of demand. Equally concerning is the lack of professionalism and accountability across every level of Hyundai’s customer service and dealership network. My dealership acted in its own interests rather than mine.
Hyundai’s customer service failed to return multiple calls and emails from both myself and my lawyers.
A formal letter of demand from my lawyers sat ignored for three weeks before being forwarded—only after I followed up myself.
To date, no representative from Hyundai has personally contacted me to discuss the issue, the dealership’s conduct, or any potential resolution.
It’s incredibly disappointing that a global company of Hyundai’s size can show such indifference to its customers. Once you’ve purchased the car, you are effectively at the mercy of dealerships and customer service staff who seem neither empowered nor motivated to act fairly or transparently. I am now awaiting a VCAT hearing date as the situation remains unresolved. If you value reliability, integrity, and proper customer support, I strongly recommend avoiding Hyundai and Kia altogether.

*Don't Risk It* Pathetic Quality & Even Worse Customer Service – Like everyone all my friends had hyundai's with no problems so I also purchased, I was due to have my baby so needed a "reliable" car that could fit the pram. My car has thus far had 2 new motors & 2 new catalytic converters & ignition repair. The constant break downs wasn't even my biggest issue. The lack of updates, loan cars or customer service… Read more
was our gripe. This is our only car..... During 2022 we were without a car for 6 months! holidays were cancelled, we couldnt commit to anything, savings were blown on hire cars until our $ dried up. My husband ended up catching a bus each day to get our daughter to daycare & himself to work. I want this car replaced but they keep repairing. I sent a formal complaint in December but still no reply, the auto reply says allow 5 days. Our problems started around 90,000 kms. The car had been serviced by hyundai on time always.

DO NOT BUY ANY HYUNDAI OR RISK ENGINE FAILURES FIRE OR WORSE, DEATH + WORLDS WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE – All you have to do is visit the Facebook group called Australian Hyundai Engine Failures and you'll see that across their entire range Hyundai drivers are experiencing engine failures, transmission failures, and extreme fire as they can burst into flames in an instant while driving and whilst its parked and not running. you're going to be looked after by the care team at Hyundai, think again! They'll tell you that your young car with few klms on it is not going to be covered under warranty, and no explanation why. Then when you fight them, they stop responding to your calls and emails. You certainly won't receive a loan car and definitely no an apology. I sadly regret ever buying my 2017 Tucson - although I loved this car, underneath it's just a piece of Korean crap. I was ticked by the warranty sales trick thinking if something ever went wrong I'd have peace of mind but instead it's ruined me financially, almost cost my job and now I've got no trust in any car. Hyundai have ruined my life and are doing it to millions of us. In some cased people have died in the fires. Seriously - any one of us with a Hyundai could die as you can't know when the fire will erupt. Just don't do it.

Hyundai "BREACH OF CONSUMER PROTECTION" – Bought our Second Hyundai (NEW) my eldest daughter drives the original one. The Tucson had a dash rattle from the start and we have notes from 1500k service; 15000k service; and 30000k service. Thank you for contacting Hyundai Customer Care.
We apologise for the delay in responding, due to a high volume of enquiries.
In regards to the vibration/rattle in your vehicle, as per our Warranty Passport (copy attached) vibrations/rattles are listed under the exclusions.
If the dealership has deemed this concern as not warrantable, then the rattle/vibration is not at such a frequency/amplitude that would be covered under warranty.
I understand this is not the resolution you were hoping for.

Seriously Hyundai Australia, you have lost us as a repeat customer.
Below is the ACCC Trade Practises for Australia:

Consumers can choose between a refund or replacement when a product has a major problem. Businesses must fix minor problems with products or services by at least giving a free repair. Consumers have a right to alter the agreement with a service provider when a service has a major problem. Businesses must not tell consumers to take the problem to the manufacturer or importer. Love our new family car! – Needed another vehicle as our Holden Cruze was costing too much to run then it was worth. We looked at a few different brands and settled with Hyundai after our families reviews and reading heaps online. We wanted the active X due to the leather seats and having 2 tiny humans we wouldn't have stains on the seats and could easily clean up mess. … Read more
We've had the car for 2 months and am currently on maternity leave however drive regularly down to the Gold Coast from Moreton Bay and do daily trips out.
The Apple Car Play feature is great as I often make calls in the car while the little one is asleep and it means I can be fully hands free and safe.
The fuel capacity is the only downside as I only get 615km to a tank but that's what you get with a SUV I suppose.
Love the Hyundai Autolink feature as it tells you when you are coming up to a service, your tyre pressure levels, fuel efficiency and even how hard you're braking!
Can easily fit the pram in the boot with plenty of room to spare.
Baby capsule is behind the drivers seat which suits my short frame fine, husband has to adjust the seat everytime when putting baby in and out of car but that's a first world problem.

Love this car – Very fuel efficient, but most of all comfortable to drive with all the mod-cons you see in a Mercedes for a much less price tag. I do a lot of klms and after 5 years it hasn’t missed a beat. Show details
Hyundai Tucson – I had a Hyundai XL for 20 years and I purchased another one because of that. Any car that car last 20 years is in my books a great car. They said it was made only to last 8 years a throw away car but Hyundai proved them wrong and so did I. 9/10 Show details

struggle. rear leather seats to have unglued slightly and give the appearance of a bubble on the seat. Hyundai wont cover as warranty as they claim it is from external forces. Drivers side window issues ,although they had attended to it fault still remains as does seat belt retainer Dealer service & attitude vary from different dealers BeWary!! They promise everything but give very little. My suggestion get the initial checks & services & then go elsewhere. For my liking paint finish is fine as is brakes & handling. Front windscreen pillars do create a huge blind spot be wary for pedestrians Dashboard layout is great but it does have a lot of novelty factor ie lane change & hold etc, it does however have good visibility over the bonnet for turning. Space & comfort are good. Given the opportunity & because of its foibles my future investment will be looking at Subaru AWD or Honda however cost is always involved in the choice.
Update 11/2022 With the the vehicle now 2 yrs old car still performs remarkably well. Acceleration is still far from Great but have purchased a product that installs in the footwell to the throttle that should improve this problem. I have NOT installed yet to see the outcome. Being garaged, paint work is great as is all internals and systems . Driver side electric window still a problem but has been booked in again . the problem occurs mainly when wet. it seems something is prone to moisture ,stopping the window from closing. Current km' as of 11/22 is 22.500 ks. Car received scrape from unknown person plastic wheel arch, parts quite expensive to replace be careful of the dreaded carpark!!
12/2022 Drivers side auto window repaired. Now appears to work as intended. It seems there may have been a fault in some winders causing this problem to happen. Hope this helps
05/2023 Now 6mths on Only issue is tyre traction. Tyre wear is good for k's done but it seems tyres are now aging & going hard. In my opinion if only a little more weight & balance over the front wheels were possible this may alleviate the problem of traction loss. Since new Windscreen smear has been a problem no matter how much cleaning or use of screen additives resolves the issue. Wind Screen has been cleaned without any wax or shine products & separate cleaning cloths or paper to wipe down (car is always Garaged),Maybe a wiper blade problem being most likely Silicon will investigate use of rubber blades as a solution. Current K's 27.800
10/2023 replaced wiper blades with blade holder 2months ago,( Jenco, aussie made) with same result by leaving perfectly straight smear line from left side wiper blade ending directly in front of driver. Now surmising that internal spring tension from wiper arm could be too heavy for blade causing the smear line. Car going in for Service 32.500k's Mechanically very good no other problems
30/11/2023 Car service at dealer 34400k's. Orange Warning lights appear on dash for Lane keep assist and collision avoidance. Appears camera mounted on windscreen to be a problem and will be replaced under Warranty. Cost however approx $4000.00 and of course the dealer has to ring through to head office for approval, even though they have it in stock which means another trip to the dealer for changeover. Replace wiper blades at our cost again $70.00 not sure whether it was with new arm or just rubbers but appears partially resolved, just need to wipe screen down with paper helps.
2/03/2024 update to previous now at 37800 ks'. With February's very hot weather & humidity, found that acceleration dropped off markedly when driving with A/C on which required a lot more throttle being used than Standard. As soon as outside influences dropped car was restored back to normal, i put this down to all the different temperature type sensors in the car that it decides to throttle back engine management in order to stop overheating of the engine. A small note with the rear windows is that i had never noticed that the windows fully retract inside the doors unlike those of years gone by where they stopped about 6 inches off fully open.
26/04/2025 One year review @ 47500 Ks' Being into last year of Warranty, Surprisingly car has still being very good. Battery electricals & mechanics all in good order with regular service from Hyundai. Tyres are still original but are now getting towards the tread limit stops with approx 2mm left on the Khumos PA51. Traction is fine, but in wet ,now start to spin slightly due to tyre wear and age hardness. So tyres will need to be replaced soon. Small squeak has just started from engine bay from either a pulley, or belt needs to be deglazed .A rattle is also present coming from the left rear seat headlining or boot area but seems to predominate when highway driving and is annoying. Seats are great & still a comfort to drive in compared to our 2019 car .Wife is now contemplating whether to sell or not, could be a tough decision.
6/10/2025 Update 6mnths on. 50050k's
Rego is due 10/25 for last warranty service but pink slip now required. Tyres and squeal (still exist intermittently) but tyres still legal. Maps have been updated to latest version by using Hyundai map update download. Far better to use than trying to book in with Hyundai service. Can be little daunting to use but does work. It will update speed zones & displays school zones, also displays correct lane to use on main roads when giving directions. To download maps use sd card which is located on the back of head unit then reinstall follow the prompts. Also replaced was a new battery, after five years gave up the ghost no indication given but last Hyundai service did indicate the battery was ready to be replaced. Socket set required to remove, A straight forward job to do at home no problems but i suggest to let car idle ONLY! THEN for a couple of minutes as not sure whether car needs to to "re-learn". My suggestion is to purchase from Supercheap and buy a Century brand this was a direct fit with a handle and NOT something from Youi/NRMA etc. From previous experience they claim premium but they do not go the distance. (Don't forget to remove NEGATIVE TERMINAL FIRST FROM BATTERY To avoid shorting out on removal!!.) Install battery, But CONNECT POSITIVE (+Terminal) First then the negative terminal last, New rear wiper blade required as separation from frame and to prevent scratching of rear glass. Also purchased from Supercheap for around $30 bucks for Bosch can also do at home literally 5 minutes to swap whole arm over, Don't bother trying to change just rubber.

Great car until it wasn’t. Hyundai very hostile – We purchased a Hyundai Tucson and were initially very happy. At 3 months past the warranty the engine failed. That was November 2023. The customer service from Hyundai is very very poor. They don’t answer their telephone often, and whatever agreed action they offer doesn’t eventuate. There was a class action in America for the Hyundai engines and hopefully one soon for Australia. have one car.
3 months after we got the car back the engine light came on again. We took out back to Hyundai cardiff and they run test and couldn't find the problem which ended up being an ignition problem. Once the "fixed" that problem a different code came up and ended up getting the catalytic converter has gone. Again they run test and found it has broken due to the past engine needing replacement. After waiting for the part to came in it was replaced.
Two weeks after we got the car back the same engine light and code came back. Ended up that the catalytic converter they had just replaced had a crack in it. Cardiff Hyundai has told us they would get a new part. After a month of not hearing anything we called them to find out if the part had arrived and were told they were still running test to see if the catalytic converter was a new problem or a new problem. That same afternoon while driving on the highway the car lost all power and stopped. The car was towed to Hyundai where they run more test. After over a week we were told they engine they replaced was faulty.
At this point, after my having a car for four months of the year i demanded a hire car which Hyundai cardiff couldn't provide and i had to call customer care. After a week calling customer and then liaising with cardiff Hyundai we finally got a loan car from hertz.
We have had to extend the hire car three times due to them pushing back the the parts arriving and finding the secondary catalytic converter needed replacing.
We are still waiting on getting our car back on 7/2/23 from when the car got towed 2/12/22
Avoid at all costs – Car was absolutely great for 4 years and serviced regularly and on time by the same dealer. Then, without any warning, at 90k, had catastrophic engine failure. Things happen. But the real problem is that Hyundai Australia could not get all the parts to fix, so after 4 months got a buy back. Show details
Warranty a big let down! Hyundai want to use second hand parts for a SUV under Warranty. Also Dealer breaks Consumer law – The letter I have emailed to Head Office is below which sums my review up!!:- We have been experiencing an intermittent fault with the radio/satellite navigation unit in our Hyundai for the past 3 years, as outlined below: • The Radio/Satellite Navigation Unit on our Tucson was losing power intermittently, or freezing and not working at all.… Read more
We asked Hyundai look at the Unit on 13.12.2019. Hyundai said they would do an update on the Unit and we could monitor for issues. On the next service 13.11.20 we mentioned the Unit again as it had not improved. Hyundai said the Unit required replacing and another unit would be ordered. • The replacement Unit was installed on 19.2.21. Unknown to us it was a refurbished Unit. Under Consumer Law it is a breach not to issue the customer with a Repair Notice nor were we informed that the Unit being installed was not new. "The consumer must receive the repair notice in writing before the goods are accepted by the business for repair". (REF Australian Consumer law- Motor vehicle sales and repairs) Further to this the refurbished Unit they installed did not work and Hyundai had to remove the refurbished Unit and put the old Unit back in. • We spoke to head office about why Hyundai did not install a new unit as the car was not that old and still under Warranty. Hyundai informed us they only install refurbished units. As this is a new car and under warranty why would it be ok to replace with refurbished Unit especially without even informing us beforehand. Another refurbished unit had arrived at the dealer. No mention again that the Unit is a reconditioned Unit - I had to ask. As I wasn’t making any progress with Cardiff Hyundai I have been made contact with Fair Trading. As per the attached Fair Trading letter, xxxxxxxxxxx the Hyundai General Manager had been advised to contact me but at the time of writing he has not contacted me. I left a message for XXXX also back in December but have not received any response, which is a considerable time ago. I have also spoken to the old Service Manager and just recently (7/3/22) the new Service Manager (XXXX) who was going to follow this up again with XXXXXXX, but still no phone call a week later. Before I take the next step and lodge a complaint with the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal I thought I would contact Hyundai Head Office in an effort to rectify the situation and come to some agreement. As per above Cardiff Hyundai did not follow Consumer Law and issue a repair notice in relation to using a refurbished Part. I am hoping Hyundai Head office can be of assistance and look forward to your reply.

is bigger than it has to be for the room inside and the cheap plastics that rattled. I actually took this one for a drive at night and it was okay. Why I didn't buy it was lack of safety features in the lower spec models, like RCTA, and the build quality with cheap interior plastics. The steering wheel is that horrible cheap plastic, too. For the price, I knew I'd be paying for a fuel guzzler, rattles would spring out everywhere (it was already rattling in the centre console at 400 on the odo) and with a car this big, the safety should be included in the lower spec.

the Pros: Great looking car, entertainment system is good, reverse camera is sooo much better than Toyota, good size and unlimited km warranty.
The cons: Build quality is terrible. Within the first months the electric seat kept shorting the fuse. This issue took 3 x attempts to fix and tried charging me to look at the issue...we bought this new. Next the turbo blew, which took 3 months to get parts shipped from Korea. After chasing them for many days they finally offered a loan car so we could get to work. The communication is TERRIBLE with the Hyundai servicing. The Hyundai service managers are interested in money, not customer service. Anyway...next thing to go was the fuel line burst on the freeway. After another stint in the repair shop we were back on the road and has been ok for the last 40,000kms until...we now can't open the front door and the rear door makes a weird electric sound when locking so it's back to the repair shop for more warranty.
Unfortunately the quality just isn't there with Hyundai, and when something does go wrong, the service from Hyundai is very lacking. It's a shame as there is so much promise with the Tucson, but it's back to buying Toyota for us.

But the gear often gets stuck in park, it sometimes vibrates when idling, the door seal has split, and recently the accelerator has taken a few seconds to respond after slowing down to enter a round-about , this is a very dangerous situation when there are cars boring down on you. now feel very unsafe in the vehicle. Because the problems don’t occur on the service depts test drive they say there is not a problem. I am very disappointed in Hyundai and it’s so called “care”. I can’t recommend anyone buying one and I would like to sell it but can’t sell s potential death trap. I would hate up cause injury or death to someone.
Quite pleased – My wife has had an i30 since February this year, I was very impressed with it, and, seeing my 2008 Ford Territory was getting a bit old, and starting to cost lots, decided to have a look at a Tucson, well after driving it, I traded my car in on it. I am very pleased with the car, I had to get used to the smaller size than the Territory, and going… Read more
from an AWD to a FWD, but it was time to part with the big car as I don't need a 6 cylinder car anymore, having sold my boat, and also being 78, find the smaller one better to handle. Very smooth ride, starting to get used to the seating, but love the Tech, Satnav and display, also the USB sockets, instrumentation is also great, all in all a good car, 5 year warranty and roadside assist means no worries for me.
Wouldn't Spend this much for Hyundai SUV – There are so many SUV choices out there and the Tuscon is on the radar. As with all SUVs, they are roomy and nowadays, people drive it not to take it off road but to look good. The blue colour was sharp but it ends there. Hyundai has come a long long way since it's excel and Hyundai sonata days and they are make a positive effort in the car… Read more
market. But having driven European and Japanese cars, the Tuscon has ways to go. I'll pay AUD$27k max brand new for the 2019 and probably 15k for a second hand 2018 model A tuscon looks like a mx5 with no individual character. Interior is weak and just like Mazda's durability is an issue. I'm not looking for more than 2 years before selling. The plus though is that for the price, it has most of the gadgets you'll find in more expensive SUVs. This is a real bonus, so you are getting a bang for you buck.
Good Car – I love the design of the car. It has the high end look about it without the price tag! I find it nice to drive & it’s good to be up a bit higher whilst driving so you can see the upcoming traffic ahead better . This is my 1st SUV. I got the manual version as I still like driving manual. A bit of fun! Leather seats inside and comfortable drive. The… Read more
only down side I would say is the heating and air conditioner. Both work alright but could be better - colder & hotter. Reverse camera is fantastic. Only had one issue the cruise control went haywire one night & revs went really high but it didn’t cause a hazard to myself driving. I told dealer about it and they said they couldn’t find any problem...... And it hasn’t happened again so we will see hopefully a one off! I’ve had car over 2yrs. Good on fuel consumption. Does lack some Oomph for accelerating but maybe that’s because 2cylinder.....
Perfect family car – We purchased our car 1 year ago, in August 2018. We upgraded from a Mazda 3 because we struggled to fit a pram and all the shopping in the boot of the Mazda. So the Tucson has turned out perfect for everything we need, plus more... the boot is a great size for the pram plus all the shopping. The seats are comfortable and I find that no parts… Read more
give you a blind spot, such as those panels in between the windows - sometimes they get in the way when you're doing a shoulder check - but not in the Tucson. The safety features are incredible, reverse camera and sensors when you're parking, and even sensors when someone is walking behind your car and you want to reverse from a car park - this eases my mind greatly with a toddler at home, I just know that, if he ever tries to run behind the car or in front of the car, my car will beep and immediately stop without me using the brakes. The sunroof is a dream! The car drives smoothly, it isn't too loud and it actually has some oomph in it for a family car! We cannot fault the car, it is a perfect family car, it's comfortable, spacious, safe, full of technology and Hyundai really look after you as a customer with their road side assistance and free upgrades of the GPS system. It's truly a beautiful car inside and outside, in every aspect!
Amazing Car, Great build quality, Stunning Looks – Traded in the ageing Commodore(VE) on the Tuscon and couldnt be happier. The list of standard inclusions on the Active X prooved great value. Nicely finshed leather seats, dashboard layout functional and modern, very confortable and quite to drive. Plenty of room and a decent size rear cargo area. POwer on top when you need it and doesnt guzzle… Read more
fuel the way the old six cylinder bommodore did. Backed with a 5 year warranty you simply cant go wrong. Is it any wonder local car manufacturers hit the wall with offerings like this available from Hyundai. Would highly recommend the Hyundai Tuscon it wont dissapoint!
Same Problem – My 2017 Hyundai Highlander has the same problem - lag especially when accelerating from slow speed / from start. Can get you into trouble if not alert to it. Mentioned it to Hyundai dealer at service today and he said nothing they can do about it. I regret not asking for a more detailed elaboration of the problem. Show details
“Good” driving comfort but quality issues – Had the car since Sep 2016. The car drives very well. I loved the car when I first got it. Great car to drive. However, problems start popping up after 2 years and I had the following issues in just the short 3 years of owning one: - a component of the electronic park brake failed last year. Symptom was sometimes the EPB engaged but sometimes it… Read more
didn’t. Had it replaced under warranty. - Last December, the aircon was out on the days when the temperature was 40+C. Had the car with the dealer for 2 weeks before they could fixed it. Replaced a controller plus they said there were some wiring loosened due to bad job during assembly! - most recently, the front tyres were having abnormal wear: worn out on the outside edges of the front tyres! Inside edges are normal. Rear tyres are normal. The car is used mostly driving in suburban streets and fwy, plus a couple of 5-6 hour hwy/fwy trips each year.
