terrible customer service
NSW, Tempeon 28/12/2023 i visited Ikea Tempe Sydney, i found a unit in the discounted section at $209 and a foot rest @$150 which i wanted to purchase, i am 37 weeks pregnant so i asked at customer service politely if someone would be able to assist me lifting them into the car due to being heavily pregnant. i could get them on a large trolley it was merely to help me lift into the car.

Delivery takes 3 weeks
IKEA Online StoreOrder was placed on 24th Nov, delivery was scheduled on 29th Nov. Waiting for the whole day from 7am, NO update from either IKEA or delivery company. Waiting for one and half hour on the phone, finally was told "the delivery was cancelled, and YOU have to re-book the delivery". How can I re-book the delivery that I even don't know the delivery was cancelled. Ok, delivery is re-scheduled to 15th Dec. Takes 3 weeks to delivery the order to the the suburb only 15km away from Tempe store. And at this stage, who know if the delivery can be made as scheduled on 15th Dec? Maybe the delivery won't happen until 2024.
Great products, bad customer service
NSW, Marsden ParkWent to do click and collect today at Marsden Park and asked 4 different employees for help just lifting the other side of a box to put into my car. One employee just had surgery so that’s fine, I understand and have no problem with him - but everyone else said sorry I don’t know who can help you. Anyway - some kind older lady in the carpark helped me even though I told her not to worry - while she was holding an ice cream. It would have taken all of 5 minutes, and good customer service makes all the difference so they really dropped the ball here. They say bring someone along to help, what about those of us who don’t have anyone to help?

Fantastic solution to our small apartment
WA, PerthBrimnes TV bench and matching cupboards proved an ideal solution for a small inner-city apartment. Next day delivery was excellent and meant I could have them assembled in time for my wife to fill that afternoon.
Typical Ikea attention to guaranteed ease of assembly. I would not hesitate to recommend this product.

The customer service representative was really lovely and tried to find a solution for me because the bookcase doors can't be purchased by themselves. IKEA Online StoreSent items via their cheaper courier. They use a better courier for bulky and more expensive purchases. Cheaper courier delivered item in a damaged condition due to rough handling. IKEA box was almost paper-thin. Contacted IKEA and provided supporting photos requesting exchange. No response. If Ikea reads this please contact.

All too difficult

Foolishly I thought a Tuesday would be a good day- all the click and collect parking was full, luckily I approached the 10 minute zone as someone was pulling out
Went into the store and discovered my item wasn’t available there I would have to pay for it, obtain a barcode and drive to the warehouse to get it
Apparently the warehouse is 5 minutes away but Rhodes traffic is a nightmare and I don’t know my way around
I left without my mattress topper and won’t be back

The most stressful purchase ever
VIC, RichmondI ordered over $4000 of furniture, kitchen and other items using the IKEA Click & Collect system. When we picked up the items which was a large pile on 2 trolleys there was no paperwork to check off the items. Foolishly I believed that they had supplied the whole order. As I tried to assemble the items I quickly discovered that there were many items missing. I was able to get some of the items sent to my address in rural Victoria. As I continued to assemble the remaining items I further discovered that more items were missing. It has been over
... Read more3 weeks and I have yet to get the remaining missing items. The biggest issue is trying to speak to someone about the issues, the phone system is appalling and very long waits are common. I have called many times and always get a different person who I need to discuss the whole saga to again and again. There is no follow up, little care or empathy about my problems. The biggest problem is the extreme difficulty in actually identifying the items which have bizarre names and are hard to work out what is what. This whole transaction has been easily the worst, most stressful purchase I have ever made. I would not recommend anyone using the Click & Collect ordering system at IKEA- Return Claim Made: Yes

Delivery scammers and misleading.
IKEA Online StoreI spoke to an agent who advised me that delivery for over 500kg in Townsville (based on my postcode) is $579 to door or $729 to in home.
I was quoted $899 to in home and then told it was because my order was 841kg. Yet they said "over 500kg". It would even cost near that to deliver in the first place and I am placing a $5,000 order. IKEA clearly just doesn't care and wants to rip you off. It's appalling have some integrity.

VIC, SpringvaleWhen the staff aren’t busy pretending they don’t work there by ignoring customers, or suddenly needing to walk off in the opposite direction when a customer approaches, they’re unfriendly and rude. Awful place to shop. Springvale is a store where the staff literally look like they’re hiding from the customers. Don’t bother asking for help, they’re too good to help you.
