Products are great but service nice but not enough staff to deal with customers. Huge line up and wait time to go through customer service Checkout. Also buying food products is self serve will not be doing that again ever. I saw people in front of me not putting items through no one was checking so I assume a lot gets stolen. lovely young man in kitchen dept, Jack. He was so attentive, I sent him a video of the tap with water leaking. He straight away agreed it was faulty and arranged for a new tap, it arrived within days. I arranged a plumber, paid for it to be installed. Sent my paid invoice to IKEA so they could see it had been done. Tonight IKEA contacted me and refunded me the plumbers amount! I am so very grateful, no other store I have come across stand by their products like IKEA have done and with such courtesy for the customer. I am just so very grateful for the kindness and brilliant service to customers, I love IKEA, I have not been paid for this review, I am writing this so others know IKEA is reputable and look after customers.

Bought their IKEA Solarvet outdoor LED 24 lantern solar lights. Got them home (NE Victoria). Solar panel looked weathered and some LEDs showed signs of rust. Undertook the very fiddly task of assembling the 24 lanterns. Some needed glue to stay attached. Turned it on and four lanterns don’t work. WTH. Can I be butted to dismantle them, repackage them and drive 3.5 hours to return them? Probably not so $40 wasted. DO BETTER IKEA! Show details

We recently purchased fitted sheets and pillow covers from a store. Upon opening them at home, we were surprised to find the pillow covers were unusually large, resembling body pillow covers. Our Australian pillows are standard or average length, so we are still trying to determine the size of these covers.

Ordered a paper lampshade and cutlery set online. IKEA packed a heavy metal box loose in the same package as a fragile paper lampshade. It arrived torn and unusable. Their system refuses online claims under $50, so you’re forced into phone/chat/store options. Not practical if you’re rural or disabled. Damage caused by poor packing, but getting a refund is deliberately difficult. Buy fragile items elsewhere or in-store. Show details

Delivery by ikea left heavy items against a wall of the house that caused damage to moulding of the house. not progressing the review of issue and we have had to continue to follow up..

Current excuses from Ikea's delivery service is that the delivery company said they didnt delivery the items that way even though they sent the photo of delivery proving how they delivered the items. we sent the photo we were provided later back to ikea which was acknowledged but now they want video footage or more.

Very poor support by ikea . Dont get them to deliver items for you

reach. The customer service is set up in a way to wear you down so you don't make a warranty claim. I have spent 3 hours so far over one bin. Buy your furniture somewhere else.

Chest of drawers was easy to put together and instructions were easy to follow even for old people like us. We needed my son’s help with the kitchen cupboard because it was too heavy for us. customer service for the 2nd time asking when I could pick the order up and asked why hadn’t I been notified of when to collect. No sooner had I hung up I received an email saying my order was ready for collection. Went to Ikea Innaloo to pick up Saturday 16th August which was a nightmare trying to navigate the carpark with the usual access to the carpark blocked and no clear signage with alternative access. Revived the glass vases which were thrown in a box with no effort made at all. Absolutely crap service all round IKEA Perth.

You book a delivery for saturday then they deliver it on tuesday. Then what is the point of booking it? There are missing items from my order, 6 missong items.The chatbot is useless on their website and keeps refusing to connect you to a human. Calling them on the phone also doesnt work. Been waiting for 3 hours on hold to ask for refund for missing items. Do not order anything online from IKEA. This company is a scam.

days, meaning that I can't garage my car till then and won't be refunded until the item is back in their store, which could be forever and don't have a place to sit in my lounge I get a replacement either. I'll never buy sofas from Ikea again.

I returned an item under their 365 days returns policy. It was collected but I still don't have my refund. Their customer service phone line has a wait time of more than 60 minutes. Their online chat had a wait time of more than 60 minutes. Now I am filing a complaint with my State Consumer Affairs. Hopefully this will prompt an improvement in their delivery of customer service.

I am very grateful to the 2 men who delivered my 45kg mattress today. I had mistakenly paid for curb side delivery but they brought it all the way across a sizeable courtyard, into the building, up 3 flights of stairs and placed it on my bed. This isn't a cheap wood kitchen benchtop to not last even 5 years. How Ikea says it has 25 years warranty and then will say that the damage is expected if you use the bench??? Please, DO NOT BUY the KARLBY kitchen benchtop. Look the rewiews about this product and you see that no one is happy with it.

IKEA said that I must have caused the damage! - see photo - unbelievable.

It took a complaint to Consumer Affairs (CA) and the threat of VCAT for IKEA to eventually accept responsibility.

My advice is go to CA after what I assume is IKEA's standard initial refusal to do the right thing, then go straight to VCAT if still no resolution. Dont waste months like I did, in assuming I was dealing with a company that cares about its customers. Better yet, dont buy anything from them at all.

(nice little add on - I also got asked to review the 50 individual items (shelves etc) that made up the 2 wardrobes... almost comical)

 Follow-up  · They paid compensation for the damage they caused, after I took the above action. I am still very much of the view that their standard process for complaints is to deny responsibility at the outset, hoping you'll give up. Will never deal with them again.

arranged to send an email when they were back in store at North Lakes. Received the email yesterday, under a week from enquiring, went to the store, and with the help of staff found where the flatpacks of the chairs were, loaded up a trolley, went to check out, paid. All done. Very happy with the experience and products, 2 Poang armchairs.

 Follow-up  · Some weeks now since purchasing my new armchairs (Poang, from Ikea). and am very pleased with the purchase. You may wonder why i have given 5 stars. Its because Ikea themselves have been wonderful to deal with throughout this whole experience. The furniture I purchased (qiueen bed, table and chairs) are excellent and great value. Ikea accepted responsibily, apologised and removed the cost of the installation from the bill.

My advice is definitely buy from Ikea but if you can arrange your own installer.

Purchased a dining table from Ikea a few weeks ago. It looks lovely and feels quite solid for the price. Assembly took a while as a few of the screws did not line up properly which was a bit frustrating but we got there in the end. Click and collect was simple and the staff were polite and helpful. Overall I am very happy with it, just wish the setup was a little easier.

I recently purchased a wooden chest of drawers and a tallboy from IKEA, including delivery and assembly. The delivery itself was on time and went smoothly, which I appreciated. units correctly. After installation, the drawers would not close properly, and we were told the unit was faulty.

We then had to contact IKEA to organise a replacement and reinstallation. This process was disappointing — we had to follow up every couple of days as there was little to no proactive communication. It took around two weeks just to get the replacement booked in.

Eventually, a new unit was delivered, and a different assembler came a few days later. This second installer was professional, efficient, and clearly experienced. He quickly identified that the original unit was not faulty at all — it had simply been assembled incorrectly the first time. He put everything together properly, and now the furniture works perfectly.

While I’m happy with the final result, the overall experience took around 3–4 weeks to resolve and required constant follow-up from us, which shouldn’t be necessary. The inconsistency in the quality of installers and the lack of communication from IKEA made the process far more stressful than it needed to be.

In summary: good products and a positive outcome in the end, but the assembly service and customer follow-up need significant improvement.

Ordered 7 April with delivery promised for 10 April. As of the delivery date, the item had not even been dispatched — only packed with a label created after I called to chase it. IKEA sent an ‘on its way’ email before the courier had even collected the item, which is misleading. This is a delay at dispatch, not delivery. doing this for a looooong time. They are good at selling you stuff but if anything goes wrong, may God have mercy on you! AVOID and go elsewhere for your furniture...even if it costs more. Garbage in, garbage out. Oh yea, they are also SUPER 'woke'. If you hold conservative values or simply oppose the LGBTQI+++ agenda, don't give them your money!

Missing items on collection with no one able to help in a timely manner. Take a number , wait in a big queue whilst assistants chat to each other. No acknowledgement of time wasted or stress caused. Most staff dont seem to have a clue whats going on. A few are good.
