I go to rhodes, ikea around once a month, it can get crowded at certain times but the staff are usually always helpful. The furniture can sometimes be a hit and miss, but for the money and what you want it almost always fits its purpose. My corner sofa that converts to a bed has lasted years and years and is very comfortable and our small bookshelves have always lasted well however I cant say the same for chairs of a table we got. Overall I would still recommend and will be coming back
the product won't last more than 1-2 years
we bought a wardrobe last year and now
becoming apart, the hardware very weak and the panel won't hold more than 7-9 kilos ... the drawers runners falling off.
no happy at all

Bought a mattress
I bought a mattress from Ikea Tempe and when I received it I realised it didn't meet my expectations. I rang the store and They didn't hesitate to give me a full refund and picked it up free of charge. They were very courteous on the phone. Their service has been exceptional.
Ikea nursery furniture
A beautiful nursery for $1,200. Just about everything in these photos are from Ikea.
X2 rugs, draws, x3 picture frames (not art), chair, side table, lamp, change mat & cover, cot, cot mattress & mattress protector & elephant teddy. So pleased with the quality and how it has all come together.

Do not use - Worst parcel delivery service ever
After 3 weeks, Some items suddenly out-of-stock. Three days later, promised items not delivered. Out-of-stock Items now discontinued (matching stools to chairs already delivered/assembled) and other items now suddenly out-of-stock and another 4 week wait!!! Four more days for promised items. Original customer service rep was very dodgy and pretty sure he just lied about order status rather than deal with the issue. Ended up cancelling rest of order. Still waiting on confirmation of refund. Left incredibly disappointed, frustrated and sad. Would NEVER shop here again. Dumbfounded by this ridiculous service.
I had 3 items to return, gave the lady the docket. Without spending too much time she said not on docket I need bank statement. Mgr called found 2 items on docket said I couldn’t return 3rd item ($5 basket marked ikea)no docket and scanner code missing.

Perfect as described
Stackable bed for spare room. Converts to 2 singlebeds or 1 double bed. Easy to put together. Uses limited space. Ideal for spare room. Very happy with purchase and delivery. Highly recommended
Order my shopping online, as l don’t have the car and Ikea at Logan is only 50 minutes away, it’s been one week today, still hadn’t arrived!!! Very very slow lazy services
Customer service is the worst
Bought items Friday - promised delivery next day. Still not received, won’t provide answer, can’t even tell me where it is. Still waiting 2 days later. Have rung 4 tones. Now tell me order doesn’t exist. Just wanted to build my cupboard before my birthday.
Rockhampton drop off point.
I find it amazing that Ikea has still not developed a drop off point in Rockhampton it had a drop off point when they were using Followmont. It has now been some months since Ikea changed carriers. Yet no decision has been made to develope another site. Resulting in my contemplation to buy Kaboodle from Bunnings. Come Ikea get your act together. Please
Customer service fail
Purchased couch online. Provided company delivery address (CBD location). No delivery time provided.
Received an email confirmation of delivery 15hrs ahead of a scheduled 7am delivery the next morning.
Called IKEA, spoke to Alysha at HQ to advise that a business cannot take delivery at that time and was told that, as I hadn't provided the requisite min 24hrs notice in order to reschedule the delivery time, they were powerless to change it and that delivery would likely fail and incur an additional delivery fee. Alysha spent more time quoting ...chapter & verse on company policy and T's & C's than in trying to help find a solution. When I eventually managed to connect with a manager, Damian, the experience was, sadly, not much better. We now have a confirmed delivery going to a CBD building at a time where the building will be locked and, consequently, delivery is guaranteed to fail yet, as with the Titanic, the stink of inevitability hangs heavy in the air. IKEA employee apathy duly noted. Whilst it's common knowledge that IKEA products are cheap, we tend to overlook it and accept it on the basis of convenience and simplicity. Lesson learned. Spring for a better quality product via a company that subscribes to the idea of repeat business.
Terrible - Never buy an ikea kitchen!!
Bought an IKEA kitchen that was installed by their recommended contractors - Flatpak Connection. Kitchen install was TERRIBLE especially considering the cost - in hindsight it would’ve been cheaper to get a kitchen custom made. All the cabinets and bench tops were poor quality and flimsy. Had the contractors come back 3 times to fix mistakes and poor workmanship and it’s still not 100%
Now a bench top has cracked. IKEA have said they will pay to have it removed and a new bench top installed however they expect me to pay for this upfront and the...
Great product, delivery was not the best but by no means a deal breaker
After reading some shocking reviews, I thought I would try to balance them out a bit!
I ordered 2 large items from the online store. Found the website to be very good. Delivery was available the next day. I found $70 delivery to be a bit steep but I wasn't keen on paying an independent "man and a van" company with my stuff either, so figured it was OK as a one-off. For that price, I would have expected an IKEA delivery truck to arrive and bring my parcels inside. Instead, I had a van from a different company arrive and a quite rude Indian man..., who couldn't speak very good English, phone and ask me to "come outside". It was amidst an absolute downpour and I had to stand there in the rain, whilst he counted my parcels. He then spent 3 trips, getting my furniture to the house. He was at least thorough in counting the parcels (3 times!) to make sure I had them all. The furniture went together beautifully, however and is of good quality, that will last for years. I am pleased with the purchase but IKEA should definitely have their own delivery service. EDIT: I also went to the Tempe store today (22/09/19) and there is a fully functioning restaurant and cafe (another review said it had disappeared).
Ordering From Ikea- Never Again!
Absolutely shocking when it comes to reliability! Waited four days for the kitchen units to be delivered. The driver arrived yesterday but refused to bring the units up, stating he did not have a trolley for the stairs. The person from IKEA, who designed the kitchen for us knew which floor the flat was on (2nd). Now they have postponed the delivery to tomorrow!! In addition the company that is to install the kitchen switched off the water supply last Friday and also postponed the installation moving the date from Wednesday to Friday! We will be without the water for a week!
IKEA has gotten so stingy??
So I used to frequent IKEA tempe for many years, purchasing many furniture products - my last product purchased was Hemnes Daybed which I am satisfied with and normally when I go to IKEA I like to have a cup of coffee and a bite to eat and utilise the free wi-fi to watch a few videos before I shop...HOWEVER 2019 has not been kind. I have not been to IKEA since my last purchase but I was terribly shocked when I discovered how much it had drastically changed. The cafe they once boasted inside the cafeteria - gonski's, just disappeared?? The food ...was very limited and no salad bar was topped up, there was no bread - nada. The coffee is no longer FREE as a member have to pay $2.50 now!!!!! The wi-fi is BAD! You cannot watch many video's...I was trying to do uni homework and watch some video's but they control your restricted mode and it really destroyed my customer experience that I decided that I would just exit without purchasing the list of products I had planned. Honestly, IKEA how cheap have you become, more importantly who was the decision maker that thought by taking away these little things that used to make IKEA a great place to be. If you're looking to retain customer loyalty you best listen to your customers...thursday night shopping is usually packed without fail but tonight was like a ghost town was actually expecting a few tumbleweeds to roll through the dining area. Sad. Very sad.
Do not order with them!
Impossible to get things delivered without numerous delays and lots of useless phone calls to customer service. kea has no rational economic motive to offer halfway-decent delivery. Do not order with them
Purchased a couch online from IKEA. Was meant to be delivered yesterday between 10.00/2.00. Waited until 3.30 pm & called the Qld help number. What a shamozle!? I was told the couch had left South Qld by one operator & she couldn't tell me where it was from there. Called back, someone else told me another story. Asked to speak to a supervisor, then got transferred to someone in Sydney who told me the couch was in Carratha, WA. First operator told me the time of 'delivery' had been changed to next Monday - 6 days time. Meanwhile, I'd taken the o...ld couch out of the house & it had gone to the tip in readiness for the new one. After all this run around & numerous phone calls an operator rings me back to say the couch was in my home town at the delivery depot & that I could go and pick it up. I told her, in no uncertain terms that I'd PAID for it to be delivered to my door. She said that the $99.00 I paid was to have the couch delivered to the collection point. I strongly disagreed & sent her the email stating otherwise - she never got back to me. The story goes on a bit, but I'll leave it here...I won't be buying another thing from IKEA & will be strongly recommending that nobody else does either.
Excellent product, horrible delivery and wonderful installation by contracted builder
It's important to say upfront that we are delighted by the final product ...well, almost final product (that's part of the story). The design assistance was first rate and undoubtedly gave us a kitchen that is far more well organised and attractive than we could have managed alone. The cabinetry is of good quality and the overall cost was less than other comparable companies. The commercial services staff of IKEA were pleasant and helpful. The PazStone SA company linked to IKEA that provided the stone benchtops and glass splashbacks did a brill...iant job. The plumbing and electrical company, Horsman's, linked to IKEA, sent great staff who were polite and careful. Most importantly, the installer we chose who is also linked to IKEA, John Ozzella, was absolutely outstanding! Without his thorough, calm attention to detail, the experience would have been very different. We cannot stress enough that, if you are going to buy a kitchen from IKEA and are not installing yourself, you must try to get John O as your installer/builder! Delay starting the kitchen if necessary to get him. It will be worth it! All of these positive elements are worth noting. However, there are several features of the IKEA process that were very poor indeed. 1. We were pushed very hard by IKEA commercial and retail staff to sign the contract for purchase and delivery asap, despite the fact that we soon discovered a number of crucial bits of the kitchen were out of stock. Please make sure that all the parts of the kitchen you buy are in stock and can be delivered and delivered at the same time. Otherwise you will, like us, probably find that you wait weeks before your kitchen gets started and/or gets finished. Ours has taken more than 5 weeks so far. Even three weeks without a kitchen is difficult and stressful. 2. Secondly, you may well find that delivery is incorrect. We got sent bits that were not part of our kitchen and/or bits were missing. We are now on the third round of deliveries, trying to get the right bits. In short, the 'just in time' nature of IKEA's storage of items means that often not all kitchen items are in stock. Their warehouse 'pickers' who collect items for delivery must be very overworked or don't care because we had to spend a lot of time going back and forth to get all the necessary parts of the kitchen. 3. Thirdly, you will have to be a 'project manager' as once you have signed to purchase an IKEA kitchen, it is then up to you to organise and prompt all the different workers who actually deliver and install the kitchen. There are a lot of different staff units, companies and processes involved. IKEA is pretty hands-off once you have bought their products. You may need to consider if you have time or energy to do this project management. Other companies offer a combined service including products and tradespeople in one package which they oversee. This is a more costly option but no doubt easier in some ways. We found the loose and fragmented set-up of IKEA kitchen delivery and installment was demanding and kept us on our toes. You have to keep an eye on everything. Overall, would we do it again? Yes, because it was quite a bit cheaper than other companies and the result is great. But, we would do it when we had little else happening in our lives and we were able to be pretty single-mindedly focussed on kitchens. Quite a lot went wrong and it took way longer than we were told about or prepared for. And just to reiterate, John Ozzella, smoothed many of the difficulties considerably. He is very good at keeping the work on track and made the messy process much easier to put up with. Plus if you are going to a builder in your house for many days from early in the morning, it really helps when that person is pleasant, responsive and concerned to do a good job.
Not happy. They use cheaper courier service smash your product
The delivery people second time now delivered smashed. Glass panel all smashed Not happy plus delivery did not turn up the first time not happy. Plus app year ago same thing happened.
A shame. Great product but bad delivery company one them is.
I’d rather pay $40 more not have the To wait another 4 hour block as it holds me up from my work as a business person
IKEA lift your game in Victoria in Frankston area for delivery. Don’t deliver smashed up doors.we have had other friends that said they had sand thing happen
Rude customer service
I love IKEA, but their express check out 'guards' are extremely rude and treat you as a convicted criminal. I bought a few small items today, packed it all in my own shopping bag. Was closely watched during the whole process. As soon as I paid for everything, this rude 'guard' jumps in front of me, saying he's gonna count my items. And then unpacks my bag! I had two cranky toddlers with me and wanted to get out asap. But thanks to the rude 'guard', I ended up spending extra time packing my bag second time. I asked him if he was going to put my ...items back into my bag and he just ignored me. Maybe if they want to check customers' bags and flip then inside out, they should pack it all back up? He also had to stick his head into my pram basket and shovel through my kids' stuff. Everytime I have to go through check out they make me feel unwelcomed and treat me as if I have stollen something. Disgusting.

Questions & Answers
Hey, I am having a problem with one of the IKEA products which I purchased in Nov 2016. The problem is that the leather finish is not of good quality and is tearing off. I was having similar problems with the seat within one year of purchase. I have successfully exchanged the faulty part alone from an IKEA store (exchanged only one part of the furniture). Further, after around one year, I received quality issues with another part of the same furniture set. Went to the store and they replaced the faulty part. Now I have a quality issue with the same furniture set. I called IKEA call centre and sent them pictures; they came back to me saying this is not a quality issue. When I mentioned about the previous instances, they are not serious about it and telling that would have been a courtesy gesture.
I have paid about $950 for the furniture and had issues from the start. I am wondering if there is an issue resolution department for IKEA where I can talk to other than the contact centre guys who are horrible. Any hints or help will be helpful.
if i organise to return assembled item, how long does it take for it to be picked up and how do i arrange for full refund?
