Invisible Zinc Face & Body Sunscreen SPF30+

Long term user of Invisible Zinc – I used this product for over 15 years working in sun and can say it saved my skin. I worked on boats and was conscientious about aging - a lot of my older male colleagues had pretty leathery skin, and I did not want that to happen to me. I am often complimented on my skin and my skin looks youthful - I would say - job well done. I did find that… Read more
to be applied my skin needed to already be hydrated. My décolletage is starting to show a little bit of aging - but I am close to 50, spent years in the sun and I have seen 30 yr olds with more sun damage than what I have. I think that that area requires 0 sun - and no sunscreen can save that area if it’s exposed to too much sun. It is a very delicate area.
I think in the last 5 years especially, there is a lot more quality competition. I imagine the thickness and slight greasiness could be off putting for some people. All I can say was, working on boats it was the best I found for a long time. I have light olive skin.
This is my favourite sunscreen. Yes it's very thick and can, initially, leave a white cast BUT the zinc soothes my rosacea prone skin, doesn't sweat off when I'm running and doesn't taste weird (yes, taste because I put sunscreen on my lips and my… Read more
other sunscreens like La Roche Posay, taste yuck.) if you're a younger person, with an oily skin, you may feel it's too heavy but I would say that the zinc with help your skin. Use the face and body version because it's way more economical than using the face specific product.
Follow-up · I noticed that the sunscreen was featured in the list of sunscreens not providing the labelled SPF, however, I recently came back from Hawaii and used the sunscreen every day and never got burned. Even after spending hours in both sun and swimming. So, for me, I have no complaints about the product.
Not invisible Not happy – I got this invisible sunscreen and it’s not at all. It’s thick oily and makes your skin white. I wouldn’t buy again and I wouldn’t recommend it. Waste of money. Not cheap either approx $25each Show details

It's a good Physical sunblock – I bought this product as my usual Neutrogena zinc sun block was sold out. This leaves a very less residue but gives a very glowy dewy out cast. it's a heavy sunblock but does the work. i like it as it protects the skin and i have had no allergies Show details
Great product! – I purchased invisible zinc face and body sunscreen after being advised to use a physical barrier sunscreen for my fair skin. After reading various negative reviews, I was pleasantly surprised by this product. It is thicker than other sunscreens, but it does rub into your skin and it was not visible once applied. My face was the only exception, so… Read more
I would mix it with a tinted cream next time. We then went out on our boat and I was in the sun for a good few hours without getting burnt. This is a great product for areas that get alot of sun, like the back of the neck, chest shoulders etc. Apply tentatively at first as using too much would leave a whiter cast on the skin.
Love this sunscreen – Have been using this product every day for years. It’s the only one I can use on my face that does not cause irritation and break outs and I honestly think my skin has improved since I started using it. It’s a heavy base but non-clogging, probably best just to use on face rather then body as it can rub off on cloths. Show details

Invisible does not describe this product – Today I purchased Invisible zinc sport expecting it to be as the label implies, invisible. How untrue this is, absolutely not true.$23 wasted.Do not buy this if you want a sunscreen that does not make you look like you have painted your face white.Disgusted that they get away with the name of this product. Do not risk your child’s skin! – I bought this after reading that zinc is a protective layer on your skin and wanted the best for my daughter whilst she was going to spend a day in the pool. I am always so so protective of her skin and she’s never been burnt with other sunscreens I’ve used. She was red. And irritated. For days. I am so sad I ever risked this on her beautiful skin. This product should not be allowed to be advertised for skin protection. Never again. Show details
No good – Pretty horrible stuff, doesn't soak in and now I look ridiculous, was expensive as well, a big waste of money, won't be buying this product ever again, very very disappointed. Show details

Be careful using with kids – I like Invisible Zinc for sensitive skin for myself but all of my grandkids have had adverse reactions to it. Their faces are rough and red. Don't recommend for kids. Show details
My face feels weird the day after using this – My face and ears are red, swollen and burning. My earlobes are all puffy and red, it's the weirdest feeling. I was only in the sun for half an hour yesterday - I had a wetsuit covering my whole body, except my feet and hands. I didn't put any Invisible Zinc on the feet, they did not get burnt and they feel fine. I must have got some on the palm of… Read more
my hands and they are a bit blotchy. It's my face and head, where I lathered it on, that feels so bizarre!! I will have to go to the doctor tomorrow. Be careful of this product if you have sensitive skin. I think for me it's best to just stay completely out of the sun when the UV is above 3, so I don't have to wear sunscreen at all.
Burnt Skin and Irritation – My Son was getting burnt a little on face, so decided to try. Seemed ok first time, i thought will its thick it must protect. Nope, seemed to get more burnt, and when time to reapply burning sensation. I had to remove quickly as pain was quite high. As soon as it was removed burning sensation went away. Tried next day same result. The other… Read more
major negative feed back is the mess it leaves. It is so hard to remove of skin and just as hard to remove off anything else.
Pretty disappointed
Started burning and got a rash on my face – I bought this because I had heard zinc oxide sunscreens give more protection from the sun and do not irritate. This product was half price and i thought I'd try it out. I liked the face it had no animal testing, no parabens and was good for "sensitive skin" (I have never had an allergic reaction to anything and I am 35) Within 1 minute of… Read more
applying the sunscreen to my face it started to burn and feel really uncomfortable.
I washed it off with my girlfriends face cleanser but it feels like I have sunburn.
I just got home 10 hours later and my cheeks are red and spotty and my face still feels like it has been burnt even though I avoided any sunshine because I washed the sunscreen off.
How is this product still being sold if so many people have the same problem?
I think the people that are saying they got sunburnt within an hour may have had a similar reaction to it as well
DO NOT RISK USING THIS PRODUCT.
I've never had this problem with any skin product before. Really disappointing and annoying because it says it is for sensitive skin too

My sons terribly sunburnt – We have always used banana boat sunscreen on our three boys. Before going on our beach holiday last week we decided to give them better protection by using invisible zinc on their faces. All three of them were terribly burnt on their faces. Banana boat continued to protect their bodies but they burnt on their faces, ears and necks where they had… Read more
invisible zinc. They have never been sunburnt before and I’m devastated at the complete failure of this product to perform as advertised.
Got burnt – I have sensitive skin and am allergic to chemical sunscreens. I did not get an allergic reaction to this sunscreen, however, even after multiple generous re-applications especially after swimming, after spending a day out on a boat I got very sunburnt. Did not seem like this sunscreen protected my skin at all - I would not recommend this product.
Too thick for every day on face; good for beach – I got this hoping it would be a good every day facial sunscreen for under makeup to go to work, but it is too thick. The Invisible Zinc Facial Moisturiser SPF 30 is still the holy grail in that respect. The Face & Body Sunscreen is so thick I cannot easily spread it on my face without tugging my skin, and it is too thick and greasy to put makeup… Read more
over the top. I am using it on my arms and feet. I would only use it on my face if I was going to be out in the sun for awhile at the beach or something as it may last longer than the SPF30.
Excellent sun block & makeup base – Yes this sunscreen leaves a white cast over your skin but it provides an excellent hydrating base for foundation. I bought 2 expensive foundations that are too dark now I don’t expose my face to harsh rays, but with this sunscreen underneath I get the perfect shade & dewy finish. And the white cream allows you to spot areas you’ve missed.
Do a patch somewhere on face first – We decided to try this sunscreen on our son as he seems to have had a reaction to some chemical based sunscreens. However our son reacted exactly the same to this sunscreen - his face and neck are red and blotchy it is not sunburn as even the skin underneath his shirt where I applied the cream (just in case) was also red and blotchy (also my son… Read more
cannot stop scratching so is definitely an allergic reaction).
So if you know you have had reactions to sunscreens before just be careful to patch test maybe on the neck or face. I put this cream on my sons arms and legs and he had no reaction. Don’t just assume because this cream is zinc based that it won’t cause a reaction - because it did for my son.
Not a fan – Maybe ok for body but not for face. It doesn't smell very nice and is very thick to apply. I bought it because it doesn't have any nasties but there are better natural products out there.
YES to the zinc! – I am on holidays and every year I get crazy sunburned. This year I've used this product and I have not been burned whatsoever. I'm using it on my children too and they have not been burned. Definitely recommend as I'm very very fair skinned and blister a lot so good to have a zinc option.
Don't use! – Put the junior version on my son this morning, tonight he has a rash all over his face. I've now just put some soothing cream on his face and given home antihistamine to try take the intensity out of it. Epic fail!
Don't use this on your face!!! – I purchased this very expensive sunblock ($35) particularly for my active children's faces. They love swimming at the beach and at home in our pool. I thought the invisible zinc with 4hours water resistance would provide great protection but they were both very badly burnt on their faces despite reapplication after 2 hours. They both cried about… Read more
how much it stung their faces when I reapplied it. That night their faces were burnt and stinging. I had used a different type of sunblock on their arms and legs and they were not sunburnt in these areas. The following morning their faces were peeling around their eyes and mouth. This continued for a few days. This product was more like a chemical peel than a sunblock. I am super disappointed that I used it on my children's faces and they were significantly burnt. I have requested a refund from the manufacturer.

Worst sunscreen I've ever used. By far – Felt very greasy on, unpleasant to the touch. I was in the sun for 1.5 hours total, reapplied it after 40 min, since I have pale skin. I now have bad sunburn, with blisters and a lot of pain. Luckily my child used another brand of sunscreen and didn't get burned at all, or I would have been a lot angrier. Terrible product!
Burnt – My husband applied this sunscreen & was badly burnt. We were only at the beach for 1hr on a cloudy day, I used another sunscreen & was not burnt. I wish I never bought this product.
SPF50+, 4 Hour Water Resistant - product completely failed to protect against the sun – I used the Invisible Zinc SPF50+ 4Hr water resistant 100ml product for the first time. It was more expensive than most other sports sunscreens and I was excited to try it for its protective abilities. I and my friend applied it to our faces/head 30 minutes before we headed out for a surf (we spent 2 hours in the sea). We didn't apply it anywhere… Read more
else as we had full wetsuits on. It left a white look wherever it was applied (i.e. it was not invisible) and we were semi-okay with this because we thought it would protect more. Unfortunately it completely failed to protect us against the sun and we were both burnt on our faces/head. It was the first time we have ever noticed a sunscreen product failing so markedly. We would have been horrified if we had used this on our children and they had been burnt. This was batch (B)1051108 exp Jun 19.
Horrible, burning eyeballs stinging face – 4 kids and I applied on nose and cheeks. Next minute our faces were burning, eyes were stinging and it was the worse pain I have been in. I could hardly keep my eyes open and to make it worse, splashing tap water on my eyes made it sting even more.
Very poor sunscreen – My little boy burnt badly on 2 occasions with the Invisible Zinc junior sunscreen spf 50. As another reviewer mentioned, the burn was patchy perhaps indicating product breakdown? His little face was so badly burnt , despite a thick layer and multiple applications. He was not in the sun long and had his hat on too. He may as well have had no… Read more
sunblock on. I would Not recommend this product to anyone and strongly advise against using on a child's skin. Who knows what damage has been done to his skin through these 2 bad burns.
Didn't blend, didn't protect – I used the 4 hour Water Resistant Sunscreen SPF 30+. It looked thick and white on my skin. My skin was red in patches after only a couple of hours in winter morning sun.
Poor sun coverage – I am using the 30+face n body block It is absolute rubbish. This is the second time my children have been burnt with it. One application 30 min before swimming Second application 15-20 min before swim They are burnt it in weird pattern - generally indicating the block factor in disintegrating when hit with UVA UVB rays. Poor poor quality and very peeved off.
Not very water resistant – I bought this product due to its natural zinc base for my children, however I found it doesn't absorb into the skin very well, it is thick and greasy and doesn't stay on very long when in the water. I applied a very thick coat on my childrens body before they entered the sun/water and after only a couple of hours of sun exposure my poor children… Read more
came home burnt raw. Interestingly at the same time, I applied a different brand (non zinc based) of sunscreen to their face (as invisible zinc too think for face) and their face was not burnt in the slightest. Overall, I would not buy this product again for sun protection due to ineffective sustainability in the water.
Good sunscreen but lacks moisture – I've used nearly the whole tube and I can't wait until I'm finished as I won't be buying it again. Whilst it gives good screening from the sun. When you apply the cream doesn't seem to blend in. It seems to lack moisture, I'm not sure why other people are saying its greasy, I think it needs more greasiness.
Great find – My daughter has allergic reaction to many (most?) cream bases. This is the first sunscreen we've found to which she doesn't have a negative reaction.
Great Choice if you never want to get burnt and want staying power – I love these zinc sunscreens and use them on my children. None of us have ever been burnt using them and being in water for a lengthy time. Very waterproof. I agree they can be tacky to apply but the thick zinc layer protects skin like nothing else I've ever used (and I've tried plenty of sunscreens to find a type that doesn't cause more acne and… Read more
irritation). I use the Invisible Zinc ESP during the sunnier months as an everyday moisturiser and as a make up base it is absolutely ideal! Every form of make up or light powder adheres to it and it all stays put for the longest stretch of time (a 16 hour day) until you are ready to remove it before bedtime. I use it as a make up base whenever I need my make up to stay put, then to remove you MUST use a make up removing product that is capable of gently removing waterproof make up. Ultra reliable sunscreen, very protective of skin, great as a make up base applying can be tricky - you have to work fast and spread everywhere
Great product – Best physical (not chemical) barrier sun cream that I have come across. It is thick and can be a little oily, but the more natural ingredients used are worth the trade off. The use of zinc and not titanium dioxide is the biggest feature and selling point of the product. It can be difficult to remove from the skin, but a face and/or body scrub… Read more
quickly takes care of that. Physical barrier sun cream with a zinc (not titanium dioxide) base. Great protection, have never been burnt while wearing it, even in far North Queensland summer. Thick and can be slightly greasy.
Really nice sunscreen for everyday – I have used this product for many years now and I keep going back to it. It's great, doesnt smell funny like some sunscreens. It also blends in quite well. Yes it is thicker than perhaps other sunscreens but after all it is mineral sunscreen and it doesnt have nasties in it. If you have oily skin I probably wouldn't recommend, otherwise for other skin types its fine. Effective, long lasting A little thick
