On our experience an Ionmax won't let you down – We had lots of problems of humidity in our house near the beach. We eventually acquired an Ionmax and it was running continuously except for when it needed emptying. second one for a seperate room, and it solved the humidity problem there as well. We haven't noticed that it makes a significant change to the actual temperature of the room although it does feel more comfortable with a lower humidity. Now in summer in a subtropical climate only 499 metres from the beach both are working all the time, except when needing empty. The controls are self explanatory and they are very easy to operate. Certainly if one eve dually breaks down it'll be replaced with another Ionmax. We have been offered a discount for this review whether it was good, badf or indifferent.
Fantastic device, easy and efficient – Performs very well. At 60% on Auto, it quickly selected Low fan mode(indicating room humidity was <60%). Reasonably quiet in Low fan mode. days in a small bedroom, a total ~20 hours, the water container was full! We were blown away! See photo next to a measuring cup (250ml). NB we live in a southern state of Australia, not humid.

Good dehumidifier – Great little dehumidifier! Works well. I had it running for 6 hrs the other night and it removed most of the water from the air it seemed. Filled up the water tray. Can sleep ok with the low noise. Would be good if it had a timer you could set so it turns on at a certain time of night. Show details · 2
Follow-up · Still a great machine... using it almost daily now... run it for 4 hours usually on eco-it does take away the moisture on metal window sills... but needs emptying almost daily (very quick to do)... a timer to set it to run at say 3-4am would be better... not sure about the electricity costs probably very little

First one stopped working after 3/4 months. Exchanged no problem and the second one working great for 4 years. Very effective, also dries my laundry in wet weather. No hesitation in recommending. I will stick to this brand. Show details · 1
excellent product but leavs throat dry if left on, all night – To be honest i really like, it is one of the best, but the only thing is, it leaves my throat very dry all night. i wake up with the most weird feeling of dry itchy throat in the morning. PM2 or PM2.5 rating when the air is clear. it picks up when i am cooking and the air quality goes up to PM 50 or something... then slowly clears it up..it works fantastic. Just dont like the dryness if i leave it on all night! thats all. Otherwise it definitely helps my house with clearing mould. easy to clean the filters too!

Excellent Product – Purchased our unit online in 2016, the machine is working just as well today as the day purchased. We had one problem with it, luckily we were visiting friends in the area and we went to the main office and they fixed the problem and we picked the machine up the next day. Ionmax 610 well worth the money – I have three of these. They do a magnificent job. Going to buy a fourth. Great when the evaporative cooler on the roof is on, keeps the humidity low and stops the mould growing. Show reply

Works well – Easy to use with many useful functions like timer, fan modes and humidity settings. Works well, judging by the amount of water it accumulated the first day I used it. However, the handle is flimsy. I lifted up at a slight angle and it broke! Show details · 1

removing excess moisture from the air – during winter, we need to dry certain clothes inside the house as the garments are not to be placed in the tumble dryer. Such a surprising little beast – Bought it for my daughters' room as it gets quite a lot of condensation and mould was becoming worrisome. the Ionomax is pulling between 3-6 liters of water every day. Show reply
Fantastic product! – This dehumidifier has just made living in a small Melbourne apartment in winter so much more comfortable and less mouldy. Fantastic for those who only have a small bathroom to dry clothes in winter without an actual drier, plus warms the room up too. So nice to buy a product that lives up to its description for a change. Also easy and lite to move around and small enough to easily store away. Very quiet and easy to operate and maintain. Excellent product – Very effective even I used at tropical city Darwin. I thought it will generate lots heat, but it does not. There is worm air but not make room hoter. The noise is acceptable if leave it at dinning room, living room day or night. But not in bedroom. Show details · 1
Died after 4 months – Revised our review: after 4 months of light to moderate use, the dehumidifier no longer works (water container comes up dry even though there’s been a lot of rain). All the features work as expected and the machine automatically turns itself off it the container gets too full. My only complaint is it seems noisy but I don’t have any dehumidifier to compare (maybe they’re all noisy). It is around the volume of a normal fan at full blast. Portable and easy to use, we’re quite happy with our purchase.

needs oxygen! Ever since I bought thus product within 3 days she has stopped coughing at night and now sleeps well and the day cough and phlegm has reduced so much! Thank you so much! Now looking for an air purifier for myself and will stick with the same brand.
Awesome Dehumidifier – This dehumidifier is fantastic! Our windows no longer ‘weep’. I love the warm air as we live in a colder climate. I don’t mind the noise it makes I can even sleep at night with it on in our bedroom. Half the container is full of water just overnight! very happy with this product
Great Dehumidifier for cold climate – Love this dehumidifier! Great for cold, wet climates as it warms the air and deals with condensation well. Downside = quite loud when on automatic and high settings
Unit stopped working after <1month – The unit quiet and perfect size for our bedroom. Unfortunately it stopped working after less than 1 month and we have had to send it back for inspection before we can get our money back.
