I am trying to write a sentence with 8 words in it but, I want to space it in a small area but I don’t know how to add words below my first 2 words

Cherrylmaree R

In the machine-Try writing your first words in small font, click done and they will go to the hoop, select the small hoop and position the words then repeat the process until you have finished . It takes a bit of time but it works well. Otherwise you can use your Customiser software to write out what you want, print it to check the size and send the design to the card just like any other. Hope that helps

Hi, I’ve just bought a used, well cared for 300e machine. After You Tubing some instruction videos, I managed to design & stitch a lovely quilt label. Next I tried loading a few of the flash cards to see what designs were on them. Some were blank, some had multiple designs so all good. Now the screen has defaulted to the built in design screen & it won’t respond to touching anything on the screen. I’ve turned the machine off & & on again, & now left it overnight, but when I turn it on, it just goes straight to that screen & nothing can be activated. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Kim, I haven't come across this particular issue, it may be the card reader is not connecting properly. I suggest that you find a reputable dealer and that checked and have your machine fully serviced. I've had mine since 2005 and my Janome Dealer is a wonderful source of information. Best of luck with it all.

Hello Kim B, We recommend you take your machine to a Janome dealer to be accessed to see what the issue is. Here is a link to Janome dealer stores external link  Thank you - Janome Australia

How do you remove designs from the flash card

Cherrylmaree R
Cherrylmaree R

Hi Maureen, to remove designs from the Flash Card, simply put it into the Card Reader and then attach that to a USB hub that is connected to your computer and open the file and delete as you would any designs you don't want. Hope that helps.

I purchased a brand new B Hoop for my janome 300e but it will not slide into position at all, what can I do to be able to use it or do I send it back to the janome company where I bought it from, thank you

Cherrylmaree R
Cherrylmaree R

Hi Emma, I am confused by your wanting to 'slide' the hoop into position. 300e machines have a slot on the arm not a sliding attachment. Are you sure the hoop is for a. MC300e?

Emma K.
Emma K.

Yes I am sure it is the right one, yes I should have said the arm, it will not slip in like the old one so you can turn it clockwise to lock into place

Cherrylmaree R
Cherrylmaree R

If you try again and make sure the hoop is flat ( mine won't engage if it isn't perfectly flat) I'd take it back and get them to try it on one of their machines and possibly exchange it for you. Hope that helps. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Does the adaptor for changing the ATA card to a thumb drive work well. I have a Janome 300e that I love. The new computers usually do no longer accept AATA flash card and mine does not. Will the adaptor work well ifI purchase one? How do you use it, if so?

Janome
Janome   DM

Hi Susan, Usually, you use an ATA PC Card reader with a USB connection which plugs into your computer. However, looking at the ATA card USB Reader Writer, it is an updated version of plugging the ATA PC card directly into the USB Card Reader which technically is a USB key with a slot in the side. Can not see any reason this would not work for you. We no longer have a MC300E or any embroidery model which use an ATA PC card, therefore cannot test it. Thanks for your inquiry - Janome Australia

Hello, I have a Janome MC 300e and a D hoop. My machine does not see the D hoop, how do I installate it so the machine reconizes it?

Marie Kerr Ne Wheatley

I have 2 Janome 300e machines purchased when they first came out so 20+ years I have hoop sizes A.B,C.Hat hoop and giga hoop the only one my machine doesn't recognise is my giga hoop Because I never learnt how to use it I have Embird program only and wondering which one is the D hoop

Sue

Hi, I think the gigahoop is the D, there is a little D at the corner and the box says 'giga hoop'.

How do I make a space between words on the janome memory craft 300 E?

Janome
Janome   DM

Hi Jan, Within the chosen lettering font there are boxes: small, medium and large, these are spaces, so in between your words select one of the space icons to separate the words. Thank you - Janome Australia

Hi, We have a Janome MC 300E embroidery machine purchased 2006 and it has worked well but not used for quite a while. In recently turning it on, the touch screen is not clear and has a sort of coloured hallo within the screen. We tried adjusting it through the touch screen contrast tool in the mode settings but it didn't really change it. Might have made it a bit brighter. What else can we try? Thanks, Ken

Hi fairy-floss. I've had my macine since 2005 and have it regularly serviced. I use it a lot around Christmas and then leave it for several months but I have never had any problem with it at all. Sorry I can't offer any solutions other than having it checked out by a trusted service provider.

Hi I am in the process of buying the janome memory craft 300e from.a friend and As its a discontinued machine would this still be a good financial decision Thank you

Arel

I am preparing mine to give to a family member. The embroidery is as good as the best I have seen ( I own three other Janome's) I have added a sample for her to see just how neat it embroiders. Provided the price is right, I don't think you can go wrong Marlene. Be sure to get the manual or you can get one on line in case your friend is not always available to help as you learn how to use it. Compared to another brand I have, Janome is far more simple to use.

What is the max memory card size 300E will read?

Cherrylmaree R

The processor is limited so it will read the larger cards but it will be quite slow. I use a 64 SD card. Hope that helps.

Thanks, a friend wants some designs on a compact flash card 1Gb. It chugged away for hours! Put less on and it's working fine thanks for your help

I would like information on using the Giga Hoop on my 300e. is there a manual which shows how to split the design then stitch out. I know that you turn the hoop around but I'm not sure about how a large design splits into two to fit into the large hoop.. Do you select the Giga Hoop on the machine or on the computer. Love my machine.

Cherrylmaree R
Cherrylmaree R

Hi Judy, There is information for using the Giga Hoop is included in the instruction book for Customizer 10000 Plus. It's called EasyGigaHoop. The designs are placed crossing over the shaded center and then the machine will indicate when to turn the hoop. Hope that helps.

Can this machine be used with a Apple Mac?

Cherrylmaree R

The machine uses an SD card and adapter to transfer embroidery files. I do not use a Mac but as long as you use .jef files you should be fine. Hope that helps.

How can I tell how old my MC 300e machine is?

Can I do straight sewing on this machine also buttonholes ?

Cherrylmaree R
Cherrylmaree R

You can get a stitch file for button holes but you cannot do 'normal' sewing. It is a dedicated embroidery machine. I was advised not to get a combination machine simply because I do a lot of sewing with fleece and towelling and the machine would need to be serviced more often than my normal twice a year.

What sort of chip/disk gos in the side of a 300e. Where can i get one and how much are they.

suzanne.pierssene
suzanne.pierssene

A CF card in an adapter - you'll need a card reader for your computer to transfer the designs as well. If you search on eBay they're still available to purchase.
