Hi,
I've had this machine for a couple of months now and love it. I need to put names and numbers on labels for clothes and the names work out perfectly but I cannot figure out how to monogram numbers - I just monogram 'five' instead of 5. I thought maybe it needs to be a specific font or how do I turn on the number function? I hope you can help.
Thanks
Lynette
The instruction booklet does not list the codes for letters and numbers, but you have obviously worked out the letters. For example C = 39. Numbers start with 0. For example 1 = 01, 2 = 02, 0 = 10 etc. Other useful codes are .(full stop) = 63, &=64, ?=65, !=66, space = 67. The instruction book also doesn't tell you; to first unplug the presser foot pedal and then press Start to sew your monogram. For the first couple of years the monogram feature was woeful, it looked like poor running writing, until a technician finally fixed my tension problem, seams sat flat and somehow, as a bonus, the monogram feature produced readable letters and numbers. So if you have this problem, persevere until you find a knowledgeable technician. Sue
Hi Sandy,
The numbers only work on the first, third and fifth monogram styles. When you pick one of these the number monograms 01-10, representing 1-9 and 0.
Hope that helps.

While trying to monogram the letters are not evenly spaced. Some are too close together and hard to read. How do I fix this?
I don't think there is a fix for this. The monogram letters have been uneven, too small & thin and a disappointment from day one. However, make sure you use the blue needle that came in the small speciality needle case. See page 81 of the book if your letters are too close. A table showing what number is required for each letter in the instruction booklet would have been good, but its not there.
I have done some limited monogramming using satin stitch and a stop, ease, start, process to do curves finished off with some hand sewing - not using the automatic monogram feature. An alternative I use, is a fine running stitch in the same colour to outline which takes away from the imperfections of the hand repositioned satin work, another colour can add shadows or contrasts. All depends on how much patience you have.
