instructed to return the fan for a refund.
It’s now late January 2025, and I still haven’t received my refund. Despite multiple follow-up emails demanding my money back, Jd Lighting has continued to ignore me. This is absolutely unacceptable behavior and shows their lack of accountability.
I strongly advise against purchasing anything from this company. I am now planning to escalate my complaint to the Fraud and Tax Office to investigate their dodgy practices. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for reliable service and products.

spoke with yet another person. He promised to come back to me today after speaking to the owners, and, surprise, surprise; he didn't. Unfortunately, being crooked is not a good idea when the customer is a lawyer. I will be serving them papers tomorrow, which I warned them about. My refund is a lot less than what their legal fees will be so I just can’t understand why they are so resolute in not paying what they owe. Just determined to give bad service is suppose.
Anyway, I wanted to warn people that this is the extent you have to go to with this company to get your lawful refund. Lucky for me, I’m a lawyer. Buyer beware.
Zero communication, still waiting for item – Ordered and paid for a light that was listed as being in stock. No communications received following purchase, so contacted the customer service team asking when shipping was expected. Received an automated reply, but have had no communication since. Don't know if I'm going to get a reply, don't know if I'm going to get the item. Would not shop here again.

Defective LED Pendant Light – I received the unit and have it installed but it is defective. I tried communicating with JD Lighting and they were asking for things that has nothing to do with their defective unit. Have not heard anything since.
Warranty support really bad :( – Bought some lights in two lots from this company which took a long time to deliver which implies they don't stock but deliver from the manufacturer once they receive an initial web site order (not from their shops in QLD) however the goods did arrive and worked. picture so I asked for the unit to be replaced and as per ACCC and I quoted them in an email this " The ACCC (https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/consumer-rights-guarantees/repair-replace-refund#returning-the-product) clearly makes it clear that I am entitled to a refund of costs to return the faulty product can you please either send me the replacement unit or pay the freight costs for me to return the goods and the cost of the electrician to demount it from my house and along with another visit of the electrician to install the replacement unit? " This has been going on for more than a month now and JD referred my problem to the manufacturer (BRILLIANT LIGHTING) who only today contacted me directly but this problem, as per the ACCC rules this is a legal responsibility for the supplier in fact the ACCC advise you to contact the supplier (https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/consumer-rights-guarantees/consumer-guarantees#who-to-claim-a-remedy-from) as the supplier is your contract of purchase. I am now getting the run around and are being asked to produce my electricians licence to the manufacturer along with proof of purchase which the supplier is fully aware of that information. JD Lighting are happy to sell you product but are not backing up the Consumer guarantees by law and send you on a wild goose chase rather than getting on with the problem and solve the issue. This company like a lot of web based business are happy to sell products but do not care about Consumer guarantees and your replacement return faulty units which are for their expense not the consumer..! I have previously been to court with another web site supplier and if this is not solved I will be doing the same on principal!!

Possible fire Hazzard BEWARE Rubbish co. That hates it's customers no respect – Asked if I could get a replacement motor for a very expensive Mercator fan that I bought on line and just out of warranty. On pulling the motor apart I see the diodes on the motherboard are bursting open so obviously some sort of manufacture fault and possible fire Hazzard BEWARE! Try the manufacturer was all they could say .or wait for it , you can buy the newer smaller version ! Ha Ha Ha.

Disappointing – Found some reasonable priced items on their site. Ordered and received 2 updates over time that they were still awaiting stock arrival. I followed up with an email. Never heard back. They wanted to wait til that arrived before they posted it all to me, um no send me what you have now please. They said the final item should be hitting their warehouse next business day anyway. So I received my 3 items. Then 2 more weeks later I emailed asking where's the final item. They eventually reply that sorry it's been discontinued. Seriously, after 2 months then they tell me that. Can't believe how much I had to follow up with them.

worst place to go – Very expensive and staff has no ethics of customer service. or care about customers time and money. They make you wait and wait and ask to pick up globes without fittings which they can’t deliver on time as otherwise you will be charged 20% stock holding fee!!! Great Job guys
Ordered another 4 CLA lights different model 15w – I have used this brand before. But JB lighting on EBay said they have 10 in stock and 3 suppliers, but can’t deliver these ones for another 3 weeks, the first lot 10W were her in three days, varying stories doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence.
Worst Service Ever – WORST SELLER EVER. They sell items that they don't have. They wont tell you till you chase them up 4 weeks later that the item is not available for yet ANOTHER 16 weeks, yes they waste 4 weeks of your time only to tell you it will be another 16 weeks before they have the item that they took your money for. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!
Reliable, well priced and prompt service – Easy to navigate, well priced and prompt delivery service. I visited 3 physical lighting stores and not one of them had the bulbs I needed. Much more reliable than visiting a physical store and will definitely use again.
Beautiful lights – The lights are lovely and have improved the look of the kitchen. Switched On or off, they are decorative And look great . I’m very happy with me choice. Delivery was very prompt and they were so well wrapped to avoid breaking.
Terrible customer service once they have your money – I sent a written complaint to the Company Director 11 days ago about Brilliant Smart products purchased from JD Lighting Browns Plains that don’t work as advertised and never received a response. Seems like they are not so interested in making sure customers are happy once they have your money.

Dishonest customer service – Their customer service has been dishonest and incompetent. I ordered a pendant light and initiated a return the next day and asked them not to dispatch. Then they said it was dispatched prior to me initiating the return. I asked them for tracking details, which then proved they dispatched it 3 days after I initiated the return. Now they've said it's because I initiated a return, which means I want the product shipped and received before refunding- this is even though I told them not to send it on my refund request. They've tried every excuse not to pay for return shipping and provide a refund. The company is either very incompetent with their administrative processes or very dishonest - most likely both!

JD Lighting Great, Product so much – Customer service was great from JD Lighting. Product, Bondi Fan and remote not so great. Installed by qualified electrician 15th December and product doesn't work. Now into warranty work.
