1 star is too much.. Don’t purchase from JD’s. My daughter’s pair of Varsity Nike’s failed after 8 weeks of prep on a soft playground. Stitching came apart all over the shoes. Minute said the shoes are failing structurally not from wear and tear. JD’s closed case the second I opened it and made notes on file but told me to see store manager who then said he can’t help because they trump him. He said it’s because I didn’t keep box. Lots of other online warranty complaints from trust pilot.. wish I’d seen them first. Shoes should last longer than 8 weeks and JD’s are breaching Australian consumer laws by not assisting.

was not resolved out of professionalism or care. It was resolved because I refused to be ignored any longer. This nightmare began on 10/04/2026. I was charged $15 without my authorisation and given an incorrect refund on top of that. Every single time I followed up I was brushed off with hollow “2–3 days” promises that led absolutely nowhere. Weeks passed. No follow up. No accountability. No resolution. Just silence and empty reassurances. And to make matters worse — the staff in store could not even do basic mathematics. A simple refund calculation was beyond them. These are the people handling your money and they cannot work out a straightforward sum. It is genuinely staggering that a company of this size employs people who lack such a fundamental skill. For a global brand like JD Sports to operate at this level of incompetence is not just embarrassing — it is an absolute disgrace. A loyal customer should never have to fight this hard, this long, just to recover money that was never yours to take in the first place. The refund is done but my trust in this brand is gone permanently. If anything ever goes wrong with your purchase here, be prepared to battle, beg, and threaten legal action just to be heard. Zero stars. Avoid at all costs.

I received the worst possible customer service at Eastland JD. The Manager was the rudest person I have ever come across. I simply wanted to exchange a pair of runners for a different size. I explained to the manager that when I purchased the… Read more
shoes, I advised the sales person (who I have to say was fantastic) that I didn't need the box. He never once advised me that I would need the box in case of an exchange. The Manager responded with "I am standing by my staff and I know he would have told you". I responded with "therefore you are calling me a liar and I have a witness to prove what happened". He then proceeded to tell me that this is store policy. The friend who was with me at the time (who also purchased a pair of runners) asked how we were supposed to know that. The Manager's response was "It's on the receipt. Can you read". At this point we left the store, and I contacted their customer support line. I was advised that they could not overrule what the store manager had said. Their solution was to try another store and see if that manager would swap them - are you serious? That wasn't an option. I asked for the Manager's name, and was advised that they don't keep that information - again, are you serious? Will never revisit this store or any other JD Sports store. The Manager at Eastland needs many lessons on how to treat his customers, and he also needs to ensure that his staff are trained properly.

Follow-up · I did pay extra for the express delivery due to timing needed for the shoes. However normal delivery was free and considering it was 2 pair of shoes 11 dollars wasn't a bad price. And I had updates sent via email every step of the way from JD sports as well as Australia post once the order was with them.

store to request a refund or at worse an exchange of the $180 she spent. To my amazement, the store refused to do either as ‘ I didn’t have the box they came with”. I don’t keep boxes at all of my shoes, runners and since I didn’t have that, “ it was shown to me via the receipt I had”, that this wasn’t possible. I mean, ‘a box”. How misleading and dishonest conduct. Is the box made of ‘gold’ ? You can’t replace a box? Agree and will never shop there again for anything and will let all my friends know to not shop there. I shop so many items. I’ve spent at a thousand dollars in the past but never again. This could have been resolved. What’s happened to ‘goodwill gestures” anymore? Follow-up · Terrible. Management said one thing to me but the store Managers response to me was appalling. Never will shop there again, spend one dollar and will recommend to all to never shop at JD. Goodwill gesture, customer service doesn’t exist at JD. No wonder they need Security as they treat customers with such distain.
