Purchased a Kemlan C900 Freestanding heater to replace our 20 year old wood heater. Looks Great, puts out great heat and that's where the good reviews end. Burn time is about 5-6 hours, certainly not the "up to 10 hours burn time" meaning the fire is out when we wake up in the morning and when we come home from work to a cold house. handle is annoying and when we leave it in, it's too hot to touch. Glass is always black on both left & right hand sides, meaning cleaning the glass every time we relight the fire. Retailer even gave us some of his wood to use with still the same results. Would not recommend this heater, or maybe did we just get a lemon as the retailer highly recommended this wood heater over others that we were considering, adding that the customer service of our local retailer was a good experience.

A very mixed experience with Jetmaster fireplaces. At the showroom in Marrickville, the lady explaining me the options was extremely helpful. But getting it actually installed by Jake was very unsatisfactory, with multiple delays - if I had not had help I would have been expected to take 4 separate days off work to accommodate the installation… Read more

in pieces rather than on the 1 day promised. I contacted the Jetmaster offices to complain about these delays and was told by Malcolm that, quote "Just because it was not being installed in the time I wanted it to be installed did not make it his problem". Extremely poor customer service.

heaters over many years, and this heater is by far much more superior than anything else we have used. Most importantly it maxes out with the number of kilowatts of heat it produces keeping our house cosy and warm. This product is a little more expensive, but we have no doubt we will recoup our outlay due to its overall efficiency.

One of the worst products I have ever bought or been involved with poorly made poorly supported by local agent the only thing it does well is look good when it works all service agents tend to want to rip you off I am on my 3rd remote control and they charge hundreds of dollars for it when most remote controls can be cloned but not this one for 50 Bucks I would never buy this product again and I warn everyone about it

Big Mistake – We had a Kemlan Celestial fire installed in our home in rural NZ ( NOT cheap ) . Excellent Product & Service form Jetmaster Heat n Glo – Have bought many Jetmasters over the years, two for myself and several for family and friends. Firstly, the service from Jetmaster Heat n Glo was exceptional, with full explanation of the products and certainly no pressure to buy. Secondly, all of the products have been of excellent quality. One minor issue with a fan was resolved quickly and have had no issues since. We have them regularly serviced for a reasonable fee. Show details

After sales service Is excellent – They told me the truth about what was wrong with my fireplace and exactly what the repair would cost. When the second regulator failed to work 4 month after, they did not charge me call out fee again. Adam the contractor was so professional and knowledgeable.

complete new coal burner. From my experience these units suffer from ignition problems. I won't be purchasing this product again just because i have the fireplace insert box to fit this brand. Taking out the fireplace surround and going with an alternative brand that has high customer feedback reviews for product operation and service support.

supply and Service of outdoor fireplace – Firstly we purchased an outdoor fireplace and previously had a problem with it and now less than 12 months later the part the ignites is faulty again and needs to be replaced again, booked a service then they cancelled it after waiting 2 weeks now they want us to wait a further 3 weeks. Excellent service from Jetmaster Brisbane – Kemlan LPG heater stopped igniting after 5 years. Technician Paul came and went systematically through the possible problems. Initially he could't repair it, and took it back to his workshop, thinking that the gas valve was sticking. He also took the grill plate back to the workshop and had it repainted at no cost to me. new valve inserted, it was still not lighting. He spoke to his electrician and even checked that my electrical switch was OK. It was in fact the electronics in one of the cables which was faulty, which is apparently very rare. I now have an almost brand new gas heater, with 3 new parts. Paul spent 2-3 hours of labour fixing the unit. He only charged me a service call for all his time, effort and new parts. I couldn't believe service like this existed these days. What a pleasant surprise!

Terrible! – Outdoor gas fire. Although it looks good it hardly ever starts. A frequently needs service. Key pilot light parts are not suited to outdoor weather. Built block unit to house it but will end up taking out.

Unsafe – Our chimney cowl snapped off in a storm and fell in our yard in less than 12 months from installation due to defective welding. Could have killed someone. Will only replace the part, not the labour cost to fix.

Wasted $5000 on purchase and install of Jetmaster fireplace that has never worked! – I purchased a jet master fireplace which has never worked. It fills the room with smoke. I have paid to have it cleaned in case of a blockage- no blockage. Jestmaster won’t fix it -they said they don’t offer service on their wood fireplaces. Do I throw good money after bad on private repair people or write off $5000? Ironically I purchased 2 identical fireplaces at the same time and am very happy with the other one.

only 275 deep and flue 200) requires more consistent monitoring of smaller firewood if you don't want the fire to go out. Placing larger logs into our unit will smoke us out as the flue capacity is insufficient despite our large open chimney and the flue damper fully opened (prior to the Jetmaster we burnt larger open fires with less smoke in the same chimney though the heat was all lost up the chimney)! Summary: the Jetmaster while looking better and providing slightly more heat was harder to maintain due to the shallow depth of our chimney.

Poor product and even poorer customer care – Our I30 after 4 years of use has proven a very disappointing product. After 12/14 months the unit stopped lighting. stopped working. Looking at about $1000 for parts and labour. Thinking it may be wise to replace it now as the trajectory of owning such as poor quality unit an ongoing liability. It has always been an extremely noisy unit and not very peaceful to have in the living area. Jetmaster customer service appalling and unwilling to take responsibility for a poor product, their standard service charge almost $400 just to come out and look it before repairing it. Certainly can not recommend this product.

questions. The person who installs the fireplaces gave a quote of the installation without even asking any details about our house and kept increasing it every ten mins without even speaking to us. Then in the end he said that he is expecting us to connect the gas fireplace to the gas point and get it up and running. I'm not sure what are we going to pay him for if we have to make it up and running. The quote that Paula had done for us online just increased the moment we stepped into their store , I felt like they looked at us and felt like oh I can finally make my monthly profits from these only customers that have walked in. The installation guy and the lady we spoke to, were calling people in front of us while we were talking to the other exec and kept making excuses to increase the installation price. I heard them talking to each other about things like, lets say to her your bricks are falling apart, its going to be a lot of work for me to install the fireplace and get it in place. Such Cons!! Even if you want to buy Jetmaster Fireplace, don't go to the one in castle hill.

Illusion were so difficult and rude to deal with, all I could keep telling them was how I wished I'd inherited a Jetmaster and not their piece of inferior junk and horrible service.

The woman at Illusion says to me 'well maybe you just got lucky with your JetMaster ?" when I told her I'd never had a problem for over 5 years.

All I can say is that the unit and the service I received from Jetmaster several years back was awesome. I hope they are still as good as they were but they can't be worse than Illusion for product and appalling service.

Quadrafire rusted up within 3 months of installation – Coastline on Gold Coast plus Jetmaster refused to honour warranty . Took them, after 2.5 years of emails and expert opinions back and forth, asking them to replace, to Court and demanded refund. Paid and purchased Jindarah elsewhere. DONT DEAL WITH COASTLINE ON Gold Coast or products from Jetmaster.

A no hassle experience – Found Ian and Roy at Jetmaster Richmond to be extremely helpful in all aspects of our purchase of a Heat&Glo550TRSI. The unit is installed as we wanted and has warmed our loungeroom quickly and efficiently. I found this unit to be the most attractive in appearance and looks great when lit with the positioned logs. I am very pleased with our purchase.

Expensive and broken twice in two years – I would stay away from them altogether. Paid $7500 and failed in first six months. Failed again at only 2 years old and was told it was $220 plus parts to come out. Next home we build we will be buying something with a longer warranty.

work in the industry of trades. We actually had George from Jetmaster come out to our home to provide a quote in September last year and still were hesitant to go ahead with the install.

We visited the showroom again only last weekend and spoke to an older gentleman who helped us to make final decisions on design and size etc. He suggested we just contact George again who still had our quote from last year on record. George was able to come out the next day for a revised measure and quote and emailed it to us within 24 hours. We were happy with the price and decided to put down a deposit on Tuesday.

The next thing we know George was in our home Wednesday morning, at the time he said he would, installing our new fireplace.

It took only 3 days of work plus a weekend wait for our mantle to arrive and here I am Monday evening marvelling at our beautiful new fireplace.

I don't usually go to the effort of writing reviews however I am so impressed and surprised with the service George in particular has offered that I felt compelled. George arrived on time each day, worked around my naughty dogs with no complaints, cleaned up after himself each day and delivered an amazing quality of work. There is literally nothing for us to do except paint the walls as everything including gyprocing and plastering was completed by George. He even moved some power points over that were in the way.

I highly recommend his services to anyone considering a jetmaster install.

Jetmaster castle hill falsely claiming manufacturer price increase – Visited Jetmaster Castle Hill to purchase Weber BBQ accessories after checking accessory prices at Weber Australia's official website. Jetmaster's self professed BBQ sales expert stated that Weber had just increased their recommended prices and as a specific example, the Spirit BBQ cover had increased from $119.95 to over $130.00. this claim I left the shop to contact Weber for confirmation of any recent price increases.

The Weber website still stated $119.95 RRP for this BBQ cover, and upon speaking with a very pleasant Weber sales advisor this $119.95 RRP was confirmed as correct and current.

Jetmaster lied about the price increase and blamed it on the manufacturer. This is their sales tactic across all their products and whilst they are free to charge whatever they like, they unscrupulously mislead potential clients with lies of recent or upcoming manufacturer price increases.

Potential Jetmaster Castle Hill clients, buyer beware!

This is for all of you who work hard for your money and don't like to be ripped off, no matter how much the price difference.

Alternative distributors/retailers of these products have since been found to operate ethically and competitively, and just to be clear, the products themselves are fantastic.
