supply and Service of outdoor fireplace
Firstly we purchased an outdoor fireplace and previously had a problem with it and now less than 12 months later the part the ignites is faulty again and needs to be replaced again, booked a service then they cancelled it after waiting 2 weeks now they want us to wait a further 3 weeks. Dont buy these products is the best solution poor design and poor service.
Excellent service from Jetmaster Brisbane
Kemlan LPG heater stopped igniting after 5 years.
Technician Paul came and went systematically through the possible problems.
Initially he could't repair it, and took it back to his workshop, thinking that the gas valve was sticking.
He also took the grill plate back to the workshop and had it repainted at no cost to me.
When he returned with the new valve inserted, it was still not lighting. He spoke to his electrician and even checked that my electrical switch was OK. It was in fact the electronics in one of the cables which was faulty, which...
Outdoor gas fire. Although it looks good it hardly ever starts. A frequently needs service. Key pilot light parts are not suited to outdoor weather. Built block unit to house it but will end up taking out.
Our chimney cowl snapped off in a storm and fell in our yard in less than 12 months from installation due to defective welding. Could have killed someone. Will only replace the part, not the labour cost to fix.
Go else where and save your money. No sales service at all!
It took them three months to finally install our gas fire place and deliver what we paid for.
There prices are exorbitant both for the fire places and the after service. Warranty is not worth the paper it is written on.
A real cowboy operation.
So if you want to waste a lot of money and get NO customer service head on down to Jetmaster Richmond.
Rip off merchants extraordinaire. If they tell you they will see you right, make sure to get it in writing!
Otherwise you have no hope of getting anything from them.
Wasted $5000 on purchase and install of Jetmaster fireplace that has never worked!
I purchased a jet master fireplace which has never worked. It fills the room with smoke. I have paid to have it cleaned in case of a blockage- no blockage. Jestmaster won’t fix it -they said they don’t offer service on their wood fireplaces. Do I throw good money after bad on private repair people or write off $5000? Ironically I purchased 2 identical fireplaces at the same time and am very happy with the other one.
Jetmaster 700SH into shallow chimneys may provide only ambient (not heat) benefits
Jetmaster open fires function at an optimum when burning larger logs like shown in their promotional videos. These units typically have a total depth no smaller than 400 (350 internal) or 450 (400 internal) with larger smoke exhaust capacity 225/250 diameter flues. Our 700SH with externally 800W x 350D (internally 700 wide, 300 deep has a pan only 275 deep and flue 200) requires more consistent monitoring of smaller firewood if you don't want the fire to go out. Placing larger logs into our unit will smoke us out as the flue capacity is insuf...ficient despite our large open chimney and the flue damper fully opened (prior to the Jetmaster we burnt larger open fires with less smoke in the same chimney though the heat was all lost up the chimney)! Summary: the Jetmaster while looking better and providing slightly more heat was harder to maintain due to the shallow depth of our chimney.
Expensive and very poor performance
Three years ago we purchased a Jetmaster Celestial 900, wood fire, thats what we ordered but got a Kemlan which I believe is made by Jetmaster brand as well. It was installed at our new home. we have had nothing but trouble, our home is always filled with smoke, the glass is totally black and we have to clean it daily (we have 2 other fireplaces that use the same dry hardwood without glass issues), the company extended the chimney at no cost to us, however, nothing changed, the performance of this fireplace is abysmal. Totally not worth the $6000. We have 2 new wood fireplaces at our property and they work perfectly, clean glass , smoke free and a fraction of the cost of this fire. I would not recommend this fire or brand to anyone.
Poor product and even poorer customer care.
Our I30 after 4 years of use has proven a very disappointing product. After 12/14 months the unit stopped lighting. Thankfully we were able to use the 12 month warranty, however the unit still has difficulties igniting and often takes three on/off cycles to get it started. Another three years on, and in the middle of winter, the fan has now stopped working. Looking at about $1000 for parts and labour. Thinking it may be wise to replace it now as the trajectory of owning such as poor quality unit an ongoing liability. It has always been an extre...mely noisy unit and not very peaceful to have in the living area. Jetmaster customer service appalling and unwilling to take responsibility for a poor product, their standard service charge almost $400 just to come out and look it before repairing it. Certainly can not recommend this product.
Jetmaster Vic - Replacement parts
Jetmaster Victoria. Good service from consultants on a recent service call. However, extortionate fees charged for replacement parts. Electronics unit (Dexen Control Module) $470. Overpriced replacement parts seems to be a common problem.
Not sure about the products, but the staff is rude and arrogant
We went to Jetmaster Fireplaces in Castle Hill, NSW over the weekend after having an online quote done by one of their execs . From the moment we walked in, I was regretting even going there. The lady that I spoke to dint even care to say hello, just acted as ig she dint know who I was and the exec we spoke to was in no mood to answer any of our questions. The person who installs the fireplaces gave a quote of the installation without even asking any details about our house and kept increasing it every ten mins without even speaking to us. Then...in the end he said that he is expecting us to connect the gas fireplace to the gas point and get it up and running. I'm not sure what are we going to pay him for if we have to make it up and running. The quote that Paula had done for us online just increased the moment we stepped into their store , I felt like they looked at us and felt like oh I can finally make my monthly profits from these only customers that have walked in. The installation guy and the lady we spoke to, were calling people in front of us while we were talking to the other exec and kept making excuses to increase the installation price. I heard them talking to each other about things like, lets say to her your bricks are falling apart, its going to be a lot of work for me to install the fireplace and get it in place. Such Cons!! Even if you want to buy Jetmaster Fireplace, don't go to the one in castle hill.
Bought a jet master late 2016 from Woodpecker, Fire has only seen two seasons and the Quadrafirer has burnt out, quoted over $700 to replace! Very poor ! Wouldn’t recommend very disappointed.
Products and staff crap hi bruce
The shop and products good however staff especially Bruce the goose may be good fitter but as father and role model what a laugh
Choose Jetmaster over Illusion gas log fires ! Trust me !
I had a Jetmaster (Richmond Vic) gas log fire installed in my previous home which happily endured 5 years without a single problem.
Fast forward to my next house, which came with a newly installed Illusion gas log fire.
Within 18 months the fan cracked up. I had to pay almost $500 for the service and replacement.
11 months later the fan ceased working again !
Illusion were so difficult and rude to deal with, all I could keep telling them was how I wished I'd inherited a Jetmaster and not their piece of inferior junk and horrible service.
the jetmaster refusing to start on its own every beginning of season. The burners last only one season.
Terrible design. Expensive maintenance.
Questions & Answers
We have just had a jet master electric fireplace installed. Polaris 620E. It makes an intermittent high pitched beeping or whistling noise when on. Happens with or without heater on.Anyone else have this problem? It's brand new so wondering what could be wrong. Thanks
Hi Terri, thanks for your feedback. We would like to look into this for you, please can you email email@example.com your best contact and information on where the fireplace was purchased from. Thanks, Jetmaster Customer Service.
I have just bought a used Jetmaster open fireplace. it is 73 cm long, 71 cm high and depth of 40 cm (28.5" x 28" x 16") I am not sure which model of Jetmaster it is. There is a label on the top of it but I cannot read the wording. There is the number '2' stamped on the top of the fire place (twice). It has a fire screen, wood tray and front grating bars. My question is which model is it and how much are they brand new?
