Jim's Conveyancing

I'm still waiting for a statement of settlement from Jim's franchisee, Angela Pisano - over a year post settlement. I have followed twice but not received a response. Council now tells me that the property is still owned by me - as they were never informed by Angela that the property had been sold. Looks like you've got to do everything yourself these days! Why can't a conveyancer just do the job for which they are paid?

The franchisee that I dealt with took her fees plus the Title Office fees and disappeared without doing any work or completing the subdivision. Definitely not impressed with this franchise's quality control or monitoring of franchisees

My experience with Rachel Brooke – Rachel Brook has been my conveyancer twice, for an investment property and also to sell my residential home. In both cases she was excellent. My situation was complex and she was so patient with me throughout the ordeal! In both cases she has been very professional, competent in her field and exceeded my expectations in all aspects of the process. Rachel Brooke Best conveyancer ever – I am lucky to have Rachel Brooke from Jim’s conveyancing to help me before, on, and even after the settlement. As a first time home buyer, I appreciated Rachel for taking care of all the hard work especially in the case when the vendor’s conveyancer was irresponsible unprofessional and incompetent. Rachel helped me receive compensation in the end. And now I’m happily living in my new house.

Removed] later requested an additional $100 to correct the mistake, which we declined to pay and took measures to ensure these payments were dispersed.

When we escalated the issue to Jim's Conveyancing, [Name Removed] was wholly unprepared to manage the escalation beyond making initial contact, leaving us no option but to lodge a formal complaint with the Victorian Legal Services Board (VLSB). The post-settlement service was disappointing, and there was a lack of accountability.

Terrible experience with Gareth – Gareth was really a pain to deal with. Being a first home buyer i had so many queries and he was never reachable, neither by phone or email. I was just left hanging for his replies, and I couldnt move to any other becuase the process had already started. Not recommended at all.

Terrible experience - take your money and run – The absolute worse company. After unilaterally changing the name on our documents, Rachel agreed to fix this with the SRO. Couldn't have been happier with the property transfer services provided by John and Peter of Jim's Conveyancing Geelong. They were extremely professional, efficient and friendly, explaining each step of the step very clearly, and their fee was reasonable. Definitely the best conveyancing firm we have used, so highly recommended!

conveyancer wasn't there for settlement! – Worst service ever! conveyancer was terrible and to top it off he was not available for settlement. It had to take place the following week. No refund or compensation.

settlement figures at least a week before settlement. She kept delaying, on the day of settlement she call me and says her computer broke down. It’s been two weeks since settlement and I’m yet to see what I have paid for. I’m going to call Jim’s and ask for refund. This is absolutely ridiculous. Jim’s prices are slightly below market rate, it’s not worth the hassle.

Horrible experience during house settlement!!! – Initially, I had to review a few COS docs during my house search and the solicitor was good to review. They go by book and process and not as per the client's request if the client needs to do early settlement, they need at least 3 weeks' notice which is not at all necessary. bypassing my solicitor to see if everything goes smoothly. The vendor solicitor is promptly responding to my email, however, my solicitor is saying that he is still waiting for the response from the vendor's solicitor which I realized it was a blatant lie. And also he is not at all proactive even after I advised that the vendor's discharge form submission is such an important step which he never had told the vendor solicitor and hence they are not prepared for the early settlement. The proactive communication, working with the client's interest, and doing the right thing are really missing with Jim's Conveyancing. My property is not yet settled but still daring to provide this feedback to everybody know that if you are going with Jim's, just go if everything goes normal as per the contract. If you change your settlement date, then I would highly recommend don't select this company in Hoppers Crossing.

any delays or problems. I never had to chase her and her manner was always pleasant. Her experience and competency displayed in the written material she provided which explained the conveyancing procedure. Her explanations covered all possible situations and was written in an orderly manner, in everyday language making it easy to understand. It does take an expert to make the complicated easy.

Below average! – Firstly they put the money into the wrong account Secondly they put the wrong amount of money into that account, we are talking tens of thousands of dollars Thirdly do yourself a favour and use someone else!

Pathetic!!! – They aren't professional at all, they don't have any etiquette, ethics. They don't respect their customers at all and just overreacts without musing even for a second.
