helpful. The stainless steel outside did start rusting pretty quickly, which reflects poorly on the quality of the stainless used, since it is clearly intended to live outside. I would estimate that I've used it over 100 times, and for the most part it's pretty good.

I have cooked steaks, lamb cutlets, beer-can-chicken, chicken breasts, kebabs, veggies, roast potatoes, roast beef. Maybe some of the other reviewers just need more practice? ;-)

The oven heating takes a little getting used to but once you master that you are away.

Poor Quality – Piece of junk. Ever regret purchasing this bbq grill. Of no use doing any bbq on it. Use it now for spit. Can not even get the burners from bunnings now. This is a danger to use. Please do not buy yourself this product. You will waste your money. Luckily, it was on a special. Now I know why. Hopefully it will last not for long so that I can get rid of it at the dump.

Don't buy this BBQ - You will be disappointed!! – The grill is useless as there are no hot rocks or heat sink, just flimsy diffusers that do nothing. You can not cook a steak on the grill as the heat is lost. Very disappointed with this product. I would return to Bunnings however the trials of disassembly and re packaging are great. I will just modify the unit myself. That is is the flimsy frame can take the extra weight. Absolute poor value for money!

Terrible excuse for a bbq – Save your money guys and maybe buy a hairdryer it'll cook quicker than this. Always have to cook with lid closed to get enough heat and the gas lights work when they want, which isn't often. Sadly I bought this before reading reviews on here, spend a little more and get something you can trust

Rubbish – The burners stop well before the end of the hot plate. This creates very uneven heat. Whoever designed this is a fool. I want to get a new BBQ but it is to hard to dispose of this one. I really don't like this BBQ is my general summary.

Garbage – Absolute waste of money. Knobs broke in no time and as for the Stainless Steel, something tells me they forget to make it Stainless. It would look great hitting the ground if it was dropped from a plane. Everything.

Don't waste your money – Cooked on it 3 times, had to keep hood closed to garner enough heat with all 4 burners running to cook steaks properly then 4th time whole hood caught fire and melted all the coating off ruining all the food and BBQ. Unable to use it anymore. Hopefully get a refund and something better!

Do not buy a Stainless steel version – The grade of the Stainless is well below what you would expect for an outside BBQ. It's the lowest carbon grade they could find, Corrosion, staining, piece of junk, and only 3 months old.

Jumbuck 4 burner....Rubbish!! – Like many other reviewers, I could not get enough heat out of the burners to cook anything! I e-mailed the warranty/service people twice within 4 weeks of buying it, askink for any advice they could offer. After 3 weeks they still had not replied so I emailed Bunnings. They gave me a new regulator, even came out to have a look at it. No joy!! Took it back for a refund! Absolute junk! There are no pros!!! No heat, no response from the company.

Leaking gas from two of the four main burners – I bought the Jumbuck Voyager from Bunnings at the end of last season and fitted a gas bottle to the BBQ for the first time last weekend. With all controls in the off position, upon opening the gas bottle valve I found gas leaking from two of the main burners. Initially good, but burner controls failed in months – Purchased at Bunnings this BBQ was reasonably easy to put together. The BBQ inially worked well, within months the 4 knobs would turn without any effect on gas flow. This was not the plastic push on knobs, but rather the internal gas control switches. This prevented control of gas flow to all burners. 4 burners and side gas ring Broke quickly, unable to adjust gas flow

Gas flow problem – Worked well for a number of months, then the ignition failed and the far right hand burner control knob failed (gas now constanly flows when bbq'ing). SO a bit dodgey, but can control the flow from the gas bottle and ignite with a household stove-top igniter. up/size. I easily changed the from the bbq plate and grill set-up to twin plate set-up as I wanted more plate space with a standard barbie plate from bunnings. I've gone with the "no recommend to a friend" option due to the cool spots on the bottom of the bbq plate (close to the knobs), where the burners do not apply heat to the plate, creates wasted space and would make me consider a different bbq next time.

Jumbuck gas flow problem – Very happy with Jumbuck Voyager 4+1 burner BBQ until recently when right-hand knob appeared to get jammed and I couldn't ignite the gas even with a portable lighter. discovered it was upside-down (no-one in the family owned up to this!). This meant that it was not in the correct position for ignition to occur. The plastic hole in the knob was slightly munted so I switched it for one of the other knobs to ensure it seated properly with a snug fit. This mechanism was important to get working well because this is the element with the ignition circuit.

Then I discovered that there is an automatic flow cutout in the event of a leak. So with the right hand element half on, the gas was never going to flow properly. Eureka!

So before you throw your BBQ away make sure you haven't got a gas leak or an element is stuck half on. Decent size. (Additional element for boiling veges on the 4+1 model) Plastic knob issue (above). Also doesn't heat near side of BBQ as well - a little uneven.

hmmm what can i say!!! – we got brought the voyager 4 burner for a house warming gift and i have to say i would have rathered bring our old( only 1 and a half years old) with us!!! our bbq plate buckles when it get hot and when i went to bunnings they could not replace the plate with one they have there,the sizes are different and was advised to go through special orders… Read more

which i did and they can not even find out who the plate is through and was advised to come home and check the plate as there would be and insignia of who made it and they could contact them but alas no insignia on the plates at all!!!! so now i am stuck with a bung plate that buckles on the left hand side when heated and no plate to replace it!!!! i would not buy jumbuck again and i have to say even putting it together was a hassle, instructions that were not very good at all!!!!!

Problems with roasting – Very disappointed with my Jumbuck 4 burner hooded barbaque as I cannot get enough heat into it when I am using the roasterie. Why do they supply a roasterie with these barbaques when the instructions state that to run the burners on low to moderate with hood shut. At this temperature you will never cook a roast and vegetables. Barbaque is fine to use the plates for cooking

Good – Let me start by saying before I bought this I read the review here from another person for the 6 burner model. He warned all by telling us the pitfuls of puttig it together. holds the door latch magnet when fitting the latch. The latch is fastened to a flimsy piece of metal spot welded to the main frame. One side broke and now it is held by one side only

In saying this the door still closes ok

The BBQ is easy to move around and has lockable swivel wheels

value for money – Well made but but very basic instructions leave lots of chances for errors when assembling so be careful! Cooks well and is finished attractively. uneven heat and weak construction – i have had my jumbuck 4 burner voyager for 6 months. it was a good price from bunnings and here is why - the smaller swivel wheels were broken after 3 months and.the metal that they are attached to has torn away from the frame i also had to build spacers to go inside the frame that the axle for the larger wheels run through to stop the frame… Read more

collapsing and making the wheels jam up against the bbq ( it only gets shifted about 5m across concrete surface each time i need to drag it out and use it) and the most frustrating part of this bbq is that on the grill plate the sweet spot for cooking a good steak is up the back in between the two burners and pretty much the rest of the grill plate is useless because of the uneven temperature. for example i can cook a 2inch thick rib steak up the back middle way before an average cut rib fillet has cooked somewhere else on the grill plate. the flat plate side is a little better but still has uneven temp. looks good and cheap wheels and frame that holds wheels falling to bits after 2/3 months and only small portion of cooking surface is useable due to uneven temps

difuser plate useless – Had an older Jumbuck prior to this & it was great. I changed the grill plate & difuser plate a couple of times but cooking was great. Am HIGHLY disappointed in the new difuser plate system Am seriously considering drilling holes in it to allow the flame to get to the centre of the burning area. gas as a consequence, because the openings of the plate only cover a small area top & bottom area... centre takes longer unless you keep movint the meat onto the open area.

Top bbq – BBQ works perfectly, does anyone know if I have to change the burners as I am changing it from lpg to natural. And if so where can I buy the new burners to fit? We lost the instructions when disposing of box, made for a very eventful construction of BBQ! Lucky we had a few beers and a spare 4 hours! Not bad for money – Instructions no good , good value ,starts well in all conditions .Had to add extra tek screws to make wing. tables rigid. Starts immediately Had to rebuild wing tables with tel screws ,instructions [censored word removed]
