Good 2 burner bbq – Easy to follow instructions. Nice nifty little cooker. Bought a cover for it so fine ATM. Will season and operate soon. Not sure of the ignition if it uses a battery. Show details
A lot less time to assemble than you think – Very simple and straightforward. Build time just under 3 hrs. (This is the stardom II outdoor kitchen model) was a bit concerned when I read other reviews saying you need 2 people and about 6 hrs. Very easy to put together. Only thing I will change is the grill plates that come with it are the thinnest I think I have ever seen. Show details

Excellent product at an incredibly reasonable price when you have a look at the amount of parts and bits and pieces involved. All great quality parts, not one fault or faulty item. No missing or leftover bits. It took three enjoyable hours to assemble but could be done a bit quicker, I'm old and weak !! Every part fitted perfectly and it was very… Read more
easy to square up. I added six stainless steel washers to the job, four to the weight plate and two to the lid handle. Fired up first go, no hesitation, all burners, with a nice blue flame. The thing looks so good I don't want to use it! Just one tip, follow the instructions. Greetings from tropical Cairns Qld.

This is just perfect – A family barbecue it is not, but then when there are only two of you or a family of four, it’s just a perfect size, small enough for 2 big enough for 4. It is portable so you can take on picnic, camping etc. light weight 15kg, easy to carry and easy to clean. The sides are collapse for storage. It has a grill, cooktop, hot plate, two burners,… Read more
and uses LGP gas We have used it most nights since we bought it, cooked a whole chicken on it, and a pizza, as well as the usual meat and fish. We’ve even done a dish of roast veggies on it. In the first month we used it so much more than we’d used the big barbecue, and its real value for money. You can buy a stand for it too. Absolutely love it because it’s also economical as it saves us using the electric oven so much, or having a smoke filled kitchen from roasts, and frying etc. next challenge is to bake a cake on it.

Well worth the assembly! – I am just so happy how everything came in the box, screws, magnetic screw driver, instructions, diagrams and securely packed!! I put it together on my own! All the parts are there even though sometimes I couldn't see them, the instructions and diagrams are brilliant, but take your time, take out each part & lay it on a large table top, stick off… Read more · 1
each part as you find it & follow the instructions step by step. You also need a gas cylinder with a black top. I am a pensioner with arthritis so it took me 2 days to assemble as I needed lots of tea breaks & a rest lol, but I would say others would only take a few hours. Works beautifully & cooks even better! Thankyou to staff at Bunnings Joondalup for being so helpful, in particular Eldear. I am so proud of my barbeque and achievement! :-)

Jumbuck 2 Burner BBQ – Bought this 2 burner BBQ from Bunnings for my dad as a fathers day gift. It was a bit of a pain to put together and we let a few 4 letter words fly but it's absolutely been worth it. This BBQ replaced a 'circa' portable jumbuck and this one is much better. Pros: Cooks a mad steak with that grill sear. Gets REALLY hot, especially grill side. Side… Read more
burner works well. Nice styling -> Look great on our balcony. Has a temperature gauge, pizo ignition works well. Nice stainless top for $279 for 2 burner. Easy grill break in and easy to clean with the grease trap tray.
It has a few things that I dislike but I can excuse for the price Cons: Feels a bit cheap. Not the sturdiest build Lid scrapes the right panel if you don't close it whilst pulling a bit to the right. Few cold spots towards the front of the plates, mine is hotter towards the back Flames up a bit more than I'd like although this can usually be mitigated by turning heat down or moving over to the hotplate Hotplate is acceptable but could be a bit hotter.
I hope the BBQ will hold up at least 3 or so years as some other reviews said their rusted out. I will keep it clean and out of the rain and hopefully get some use out of it. I use it roughly 2-3 times a week. Overall, I have been happy with this so far. Cooks food that tastes much better than my old barbie. Would buy again.
Average at best. My previous cheapie 4 burner Jumbuck was 10 times better – Edited 14.02.2022 6 months have passed since original review and I have to say the bbq is worse than first thought. Received a reply from distributor about the non functioning igniter and basically told can't do anything. Was advised to use flame throwing method to light burner with non functioning igniter. That means when they all stop working… Read more
I can throw the bbq in the bin.
While I originally said it cooks food very well, do not step away from it for even a minute. Bbq was fully cleaned and next use I stepped away for a few minutes to grab a drink. When I returned there were flames as high as the lid. Food burnt and ruined. And this was on the lowest flame possible. I had only just put the food on and went to get a drink.
And last but not least, every time I use it (3 to 4 times a month) grease leaks into the inside of the unit. Grease tray is basically useless.
Worst bbq I've ever owned and it will be going in the bin (after I smash it with a sledge hammer)
Very average bbq at best. Very uneven heat distribution so constantly needing to move food around. Food will burn very quickly if you're not careful as there is virtually no difference between low and high heat settings.
Flares up constantly and produces a lot of smoke. This happens whether meat is marinated or not.
Barely 6 months old and first of the electronic ignitions has already gone. Have made contact with distributor and waiting on a reply.
Under tray is extremely difficult to remove and replace and juices leak into bottom compartment and down the sides of the bbq.
Doors won't stay closed if you move the bbq. Just moving it in a straight line from one side of the alfresco to the other and the doors open.
On a positive note, does cook food very well as long as you move it around before it burns.
As I stated in the title, my previous 4 burner jumbuck that cost half as much as this one was 10 times better and lasted over 10 years before I replaced it. This one will not last that long, as I've seen from some of the other reviews on this site.
Overall, it gets a 2 out of 5 as I expected more for the price.
My First BBQ and best I have cooked on so far – First of all let me clarify a few things to help you guys out. 1. I am not a bbq professional or even a professional cook so don't take my reviews as any expert advice. it is just my experiences that i would like to share. 2. Some have complained about missing screws ect... when you opened the box. well mine came with a sealed pack which had… Read more
all the screws, washers including a screw driver all sealed up so tightly that you need to spend 10mins just opening it. This could be Jumbuck's new way of ensuring every bbq has all the tools required? Thanks to all your reviews?
3. Just like others have mentioned, there is no sticker on the hood or anywhere that effects the look of the bbq.
Now for my review. The box is very heavy. 40kgs so unless your a huge massive guy holding many heavy weight titles, i would suggest you tag a friend along with you. Anyway, i finally got it into the garage and started the assembly process. First thing i did was make sure i had everything. So box after box. I literally had to take everything apart to ensure all parts were there which was a bit annoying but i am not complaining. Just happy all parts were there.
Assembling: Was very easy to assemble. Well for me anyway but then again i am an Engineer by trade so i find these sort of things pretty easy. Also i just want to mention. There is only 2x types of screws you have to use for the entire assembly which again makes it even easier to assemble.
Built quality: I wouldn't give it 5/5 for built quality. More like 4/5 because the right door seems a little out of alignment and when you close it, the bottom magnet doesn't catch on straight away. For some people this is a put off but it didn't worry me as it doesn't seem to cause any problems. Maybe Jumbuck can take this into consideration as i am not the first one to complain about it?
cooking: Ok now it is all assembled, got the 8.5kg bottle ( a brand new one) and screwed in the host and valve and offcourse most important did the gas safety check with soapy water and all passes so ready to cook. I also did a burn-in test for the cast-iron plates and ensured all burners work well and surely they do. The side burner also seems to work very well too with high flame unlike other bbq's i have seen. Then came to cooking and because i burn-in the cast-iron, i had no issues with the meat sticking and i must say it cooked very well. 1 thing to note, i have found some cold spots about 1-inch from the knobs, there isn't a flame there so not a good spot to cook. Also 1/2 inch from the side plate also seems to be not as hot as towards the center. But anyway, this could be because again the flame is too far apart or the cast-iron hasn't fully settled as yet. But overall it does cook well and gets hot very quickly too. Closed the lid and maintained 170c temp which did actually give the food a pretty good smoky flavour and was very happy with the results and the food did taste absolutely fantastic and cooked evenly throughout.
Conclusion: So i seriously am overall very happy with this unit. Yes i would recommend it but also take into consideration what I have mentioned too as for some its not an issue for others it might be.

Good for the Price – I paid about $150 or so for my 4 burner back in 2018. Works like a BBQ should, cooks like a BBQ should. I only ever cook snags, burgers and steaks etc Mine was on a semi undercover patio and lasted 4 years before rust killed it. I would say if you are happy turning over BBQ every 4-5 years then go for it. Ultimately you pay for what you get but these are good value if you cook simply and are happy turning them over every so often. Show details
Great Value for Money – Gets very hot - some reviewers say it doesn't. Not huge but perfect for us. Very happy with this BBQ. FYI: Need latest LCC27 gas bottle fitting. (Mandatory as at September 2022) Show details
Ultimate perfection – Absolute game changer, ever since I’ve been cooking my meat tray winnings from the local footy club my evenings out on the bbq have improved my quality of life. Nothing more enjoyable then a jumbuck feed and cooking for the wife in my west coast singlet! Up the Eagles Show details

Not happy – Have had the item for under 12 months. It was never the greatest BBQI have had but it did the job. Tonight when I go out to cook a few chops I could not get it to start the pilot burners are working but the main burners would not kick in for about two minutes or more, and when they did it was only on low which is the next best thing to useless. Is there an easy fix or do I take it back? Show details
Disappointed – Very difficult to moderate heat. Hot plat is always too hot even on lowest setting and grill never seems to get warm enough. Assembly was difficult as pre-drilled holes were in the wrong place. Radiates a huge amount of heat out of the back and front so not safe with little ones around, Have been unable to get extra flame tamers (to try and reduce temperature under hot plate). Bunnings referred me to the importer. Doesn't feel very solid. Show details

Quality Issues – Uneven heat distribution. Main problem is that the burners disintegrate after only one summer, and it's impossible to find replacements. Bought from Bunnings but they dont have replacement burners. Wont buy another jumbuck. Show details

Good to cook on - quick to heat up – Very happy with the BBQ. HOWEVER the front of the unit gets hot enough to cook on. Very dangerous design flaw as young ones could be seriuosly burnt if touching this area. Show details
Very disappointed – Panels were damaged out of the box. Two burners won’t stay lit and have yellow unstable flames . Side burner igniter does light burner. How do these burners get AGA approval Haven’t cooked anything on it yet Show details
Pity about the rust – Good bbq for the money but after 8 months with it under a patio roof it is already showing many rust spots. If you are okay with a cooker for a couple.of years at a cheap price, then this is the unit to buy. If you do not have a.practical bent then assembly could be a challenge Show details
Love it! – This BBQ is great. Gets super hot. Has all the functions you need. Easy enough to assemble. Nice size, not too big and bulky. Great price for what it is. Show details
Great for the price if you can cope with some basic assembly – It seems clear that the earlier versions of this bbq had issues? I bought mine a couple of months ago (December 2019). All bolts were there, assembly was quite easy. Piezo ignition works well, and both the open flame section as well as the hot plate cook well. I always use the heatproof black plastic underlay on the hot plate. Brilliant. (Get them… Read more
separately). Absolutely great for the price - beats paying $1000 or more for the glorified church altar versions that seem to be the current fashion!
Great First BBQ – This is the first BBQ I've personally owned, but I have used probably a few dozen in my lifetime, so I am in no means an expert but for personal use and for entertaining guests, this BBQ is perfect for practically everything I've needed. - Plenty of cooking space, it is 4 burner after all... - Side burner is an added bonus for anything extra,… Read more
otherwise have it flipped down for valuable bench space - Plenty of bench space either side of the BBQ to put stuff - Good storage space underneath (with magnetized doors so they don't blow open) - On wheels of course, so it's easy to move around the backyard - Assembly was time consuming, but honestly I thought it would be harder than it was... - Thermometer works great and is very handy!
Have had zero issues with the BBQ so far and at this price for a casual BBQer, I would recommend this BBQ.
Takes a bit of practice – This Barby is easy to light and has a thermometer so you don't overheat things, but it is pretty hot and takes a while to work out how to moderate the heat by turning 1 or 2 jets off. Show details
Do not waste your money – I was happy only for the first 12 months. Flame tames went first - rusted and disintegrated. No parts were available to replace. I had to purchase a different brand of parts and used an angle grinder to cut to size. The burners disintegrated next, they lasted 3.5 years. I tried to find parts without success. Standard burners are 400-410mm, … Read more
these Jumback ones are 370mm. Unable to use anything else due to this size difference. So after 4 years I have a perfect looking BBQ, which is a throwaway because it is impossible to get replacement parts for Jumback BBQs.

Great BBQ for it's price! – I read these reviews before buying this BBQ. I was worried about the low heat issues some experienced but after two nights of cooking on it I couldn't be happier! It gets plenty hot I can turn the dials down a bit and still sear steaks. Side plate is great only mine is on a lvl 4 balcony and sometimes wind can blow it out when on a low setting. I nearly spent $600 on a Webber but decided to go with this and glad I did! Show details
Best BBQ I’ve ever had – I’ve used it to cook all kinds of meat, fish and veggies with great results every time. All of the bits are easy to remove and clean and the protective cover keeps it looking like new on the outside. I’ve used it on a few wet and windy days and it hasn’t caused an issue. you lots of flexibility and it’s easy to create a hot area and a cooler area if you need to rotate and keeps things warm. Highly recommend!
Great BBQ for the price – Nice BBQ at a good price, was easy to put together and cooks good. Be sure to read the instructions about first use, as there is a protective coating on the plates for transport and you need to burn this off. First few uses everything stuck but now works great! turn it past hot and turn knobs close to off position to get the burners down really low for slow burn-free cooking.
Steakmaster – This is a replacement for a much loved bar b q that I had for over 20 years Much more up to date and easier to cook on, I have bar-b-q;d steaks, snags, fish and other seafoof, roasted pork and lamb and used the side burners for keeping vegies and tomatoes warm and ready for the plate Easy to clean, just wipe down and give a gentle scrub with… Read more

Very good BBQ – Awesome product. I bought this four burner BBQ two month before. I am pretty happy with this. It cooks very fast and light weight i can carry anyone in my backyard. Burner quality is also very good. I recommend to all of my friends to buy this items without any doubt. Show details
Given years of solid serbice – I was more excited than makes sense getting this - not sure why - anyway its years later and its put in many years of soldi service. I just cleaned the garage out and pulled it out to clean down for the new season. It still works beautifully although a little battle worn. It just cooks the most delicious steaks. The temperature it achieve is perfect Show details
Its good – This BBQ is excellent, my hubby wants to cook more often, only issue i have with this BBQ is that it is starting to rust in different points. Thats why i gave it 4 stars. Other than that. Excellent food comes from it. We even use it as an oven do do our roasts. No complaints. Food comes out scrumptuos. Still a bit of a bugger to clean, ( like most BBQs haha ) No complaints otherwise. A great first BBQ - side hotplate is a bonus! – We bought this BBQ the other day and it cooks meat perfectly. We tried sausages, chicken kebab skewers and lamb chops and all of them came out delicious and didn't take very long to cook either. so it doesn't get wet when it rains and so far it's keeping great even without a cover. The side hot plate is great for frying up onions or eggs while the meat cooks or even for heating up wraps while the meat cooks. The BBQ also looks great and is very sturdy. Really glad I ended up going with Jumbuck rather than a cheaper brand which may not have been as good quality-wise. A great first BBQ for anyone interested in purchasing one :)
Small but fine – Side burner is great. Was cheap and was fairly easy to assemble and use. Loved the price and it’s relativey compact size. It wasn’t a huge amount of cooking space when you have more than say 6-8 people but it’s a small bbq! I’m not looking forward to moving house with this thing. Don’t know if it will survive the move. Quite good – Yes it doesn't go as well as the big expensive bbqs. But for the price it does a good job. It cooks well for the two of us. Its side burner 8s quite capable. I find if you cook with the hood down it certainly does what you need. Don't expect it to do the same as the big boys. Show details
WOW, tasty. Great BBQ – Generous size, easy to ignite most of the time ! You can cook some great meals on this though It seems to have a cold spot, doesn't cook really evenly but still ok. Definitely good for the cost. Temperature gauge makes it good for roasting. All in all its a pretty good low cost barbeque and a quick and easy alternative to cooking inside. Important to get a cover for it, to keep the dust off it, keep it dry and keep it in good condition. Show details
Missing Parts – Wouldn't have a clue how well it works/doesn't work as it came without assembly screws. Taking this junk back to where it came from. Thanks for the wasted time. Will never consider buying another Jumbuck, plenty of other BBQ manufacturers that actually care about the quality of item they package for sale. Show details
Really well made and easy to assemble. Awesome bbq for the price and the side burner is quite handy too Show details
