I have one of these frypans. Bought it from Big W a few years ago. Have only used it about 6 times, and it mainly lives in its original box, as I don't have very much storage room to keep it in the kitchen. I noticed when packing it away tonight, that there appears to be a line under the thermostat slot casing (on the frypam - not the actual thermostat), which I can't recall seeing before. I'm not sure if it is a crack, or a wide seam in the casing, which just doesn't quite meet, or if I might have accidentally knocked it and cracked it.. My frypan, while in excellent condition , is way out of warrantee, so if it is something that needs to be fixed, it is definitely too late to do that. Can anyone who has one of these frypans tell me whether the line, crack, or seam in the casing is normal, or if the underside of the frypans thermostat casing has no line underneath it, so I can work out whether I perhaps may have accidentally knocked it and cracked it. Much appreciated.

Hi Adam. Thanks for your response. I will bin the frypan, and buy a better brand. I normally buy Sunbeam, which I have never had problems with, so I'll go back to my tried and trusted brand. I don't remember knocking the pan at any time, so it may well have been cracked when I bought it. I appreciate your quick response to my question. Thanks Again.

Faulty thermostat on brand new 12 inch square frypan? Even at lowest setting, the braising liquid has boiled away, with clouds of steam pouring from all round the lid.
