Kambrook Rice Express KRC8 (8 Cup) Questions & Answers
VerifiedThe cup size
Cup is 180ml approx. I would… like to know why my Kambrook rice cooker cup doesn’t have the Kambrook name stamped on it? I have four similar cups?? It’s frustrating grrr!!! How long to cook 1 1/2 cups of rice in my old original Cooker? so it’s ready when it’s needed! In my opinion it’s Far Easier & less mess to just buy a microwave pkt..! Cheaper as well, if you only cook Rice.. Occasionally!
How long do you cook vegetables for in rice cooker? The booklet that came in box with cooker doesn't indicate the time for any vegetable to be cooked. Thanks, Carmel.
Hi Carmel - you can find a cooking guide with suggested times on page 11 in the instruction booklet, see: external link Some tips for steaming vegetables using this rice cooker: - smaller pieces will steam faster than larger ones
- best to cut vegetables to a similar size for even cooking
- ensure that not all steaming holes are covered by food (this prevents any overflow during steaming)
- fresh or frozen vegetables can be used (although there's no need to thaw frozen vegetables prior to steaming)
- avoid having water or stock touch the tray or food
- check the liquid level occasionally and add more hot water if further steaming is required
- always lift the lid away from you to avoid the spurt of steam escaping from under the lid

I purchased an 8 cup Rice Cooker today and there does not appear to be an instruction booklet in the box. Is one usually provided?
