Why would a company bother even manufacturing this? – I bought this vacuum as a pure workshop appliance, and while the suction is seems powerful enough for the type of work required, the decisions made around the design of the appliance are bewildering to say the least. For a start, it is top heavy and will tip over with the slightest amount of agitation. Once returned to the upright position it will… Read more

need to be powered off until the motor completely stops in order to begin working again. The hose contains a hard sleeve that is runs inverse to the body of the vacuum, meaning that ANYTHING that is slightly stiff will get stuck and block the flow. The only way to remove any blockage is to attach the hose to the blower motor and "blast" out the blockage, which obviously creates a mess. When the bag is full, it is extremely difficult to remove from the waste container due to the hard hose inlet being at a sharp right angle, tearing the bag. Accidently backing over the vacuum with my car, which forced the purchase of a different brand of vacuum was the best part of owning this frustrating piece of rubbish. Honestly, why would a company bother manufacturing something that has so many flaws and is of such a poor design?

Disgusting customer service and warranty – Brought a wet and dry vac for my mum for Easter to clean her car. She used it twice and the suction hose snapped in half. When I rang i was told she had to send photos and receipt for it to be review. She has no email and when I explained this was told I could do it even if it meant travelling out side of my area in COVID. It’s a 25 dollar part.… Read more

Don’t waste your money- won’t cover faulty cord – Had vacuum for 4 months and the cord is faulty. Won’t fix due to cord not being under warranty even though it’s connect to the vacuum. After care has been the absolute worse and don’t reply. Do not get this vacuum as you will waste money

Great vac, I love it! – Mostly I use this vac when cleaning my car but I do use it all around the house - vacuuming the garage, cleaning up garden mess on the patio, the BBQ, spills etc. The blower function is handy too for blowing the leaves off the driveway or out of crevice's in the car. Its really easy to use, sturdy and I love that all of my attachments can sit on the vac so its nice and tidy.  Show details

Probably the worst product I have ever purchased – The vacuum is used in a large concrete floored shed picking up wood shavings, sawdust and gum leaves that blow inside. It tips over at the slightest provocation even by rolling over its own power lead. Due to the poor design of the rigid vacuum pipes it is continually getting blocked. When the pipes fit together there is a ledge in the direction… Read more

of suction flow and anything that is a little stiff (gum leaf) gets stuck on these ledges and ultimately blocks the pipe as the suction never seems enough to overcome it.. If you use a bag in the unit the suction is appalling and if you don't you are forever having to stop to clean out the filter as suction very quickly reduces. I know that this model has been discontinued but the newer ones look to be pretty much the same. It appears to me that they did very little, if any, product testing in Australia and failed to use any of the proven design validation techniques. If you are looking to purchase one of these types of vacuums have a good look at the way the pipes are designed and test roll one on rough ground

Blew up on second use – Purchased from mitre 10 and it blew up on the second use. It was returned to karcher for warranty but they refused to replace it as they claim it was run without the filter. Clearly i had never removed the filter. Do not buy any karcher product and expect the warranty to be any good. Show details

Does the job – Got this Vacc from Mitre10. Were told to buy the filter and bags as well as it would perform better so spent 40 more. You can just use the mesh and wash it but was told it was best to protect motor and buy the filter to replace mesh. Does the job and sucks up wood dust etc. bags fit on well and keeps inner clean. Don’t expect great suction like a house vaccs but does what it should. Better than other unknown brands. Cheap and good....  Show details

Use It All The Time - Good Vac – This gets a flogging at my place. I use it in the garage and even just to pick up little leave on the deck sometimes. It is a simple but robust design that is very easy to use. Easy to empty too and goes off like a rocket when I switch it one. I dont love the clips holding the lid down but apart from that this is an excellent workhorse vac.  Show details

perfect inside and as a woodshop vac – this vacuum has the best suction for value ive seen in a while! i use it inside the home aswell as in conjuction with my tornado in my woodshop, all in all the only complaint that i would have is that sometimes the top of the unit doesnt stay latched onto the base/bin which can cause issues  Show details

The vaccum is great! – i have bought this vacuum nearly two years ago. The suction is very strong, beside vacuum the floor, i use it to vacuum spiders and flies. However, the vacuum is quiet noisy and abit heavy. I use the vacuum on timber and carpet floor, i also use it to vacuum my car.  Show details

Good suction – This product has amazing suction and really vacuums well. I thought it would be mediocre cos it was so reasonably priced but it actually is amazing. The only problem is putting it together because some bits are flimsy and fragile and would break very easily if you are not super careful  Show details

Terrific value – This vac has been top notch. It gets used endlessly. Whether in the car, the house or the garage it has been a star. Never felt the need for a bag, the filter does a good job. If used for spills or anything wet just open, twist, pull out the filter and go. Emptying a full vac is easy too with the drain in front. Stainless as well, no rusting. … Read more

Dropped a glass full of Pepsi on the floor or carpet? No problem! It's got enough power to clean the carpet, just pour on some mildly soapy water and vacuum up the mess. Good for broken glass and ceramics too,

Loaned to the neighbour next door to clean up a large spill and he wants one now.

Three pets in the house and the limitless supply of pet hair does not stop this thing, as with conventional vacuums. It does need to be emptied a bit more often as the hair sticks to the filter. No big deal.

Perfect for home use. If I needed something for commercial use or reno I'd probably still consider this.

Thanks Karcher!

My Doggies Buddy – Got it to clean up after the doggie did his doo indoors on the carpet. We live in an apartment and this does become a problem when our Labrador has an upset tummy. Use it in wet mode to pick up vomit/ diarrhoea and followed up with sucking steaming hot water and a host of disinfecting chemicals and stain removers. Half a barrel of goo later all… Read more

evidence of the disaster is sucked clean and the carpet is dry and fresh.

The barrel is easy to clean, but the filter needs to be hosed off and dried before using again.

I've used it this way about 6 times and all’s good.

For dry vacuuming; the dust bag is oversized and does not expand effectively in the barrel. Suction is perfect. I’ve attached a powerhead to it and it works just fine to pick up my doggies shedding.

The blowing function has been terrific in getting the balcony garden clean of leaves and dirt, I’ve used it in the backyard as a leaf blower and its very good. No complaints. Trick is to use the crevice tool at the end of the pipe to focus the blower into a jet.

The stick is light plastic, making vacuuming floors and walls a lot less tiring compared to the steel pipe in the Miele.

With so many tricks up its sleeve this machine is simply amazing.

It does have one irritating vice though, its top heavy and falls over very often, - be extremely careful when wet vacuuming.

Another con is the filter- I don’t think its adequately protected for heavy jobs and might tear resulting in grit getting into the motor. I’ve got an Ozito too which I haven’t used yet (came in as a combo with a power washer) the filter on the ozito is a merely a cloth bag over the suction. Thinking placing a cloth back on the Karcher filter might reduce efficiency but protect it as well.

Overall – no complaints.

What a beast! – This vacuum is fantastic!! Does a great job doing the car and picks up sand with ease. Love that the tools are on board for ease of use. It is noisy, but that's not an issue for me. It tows along nicely & has a relatively long power cord. I'm happy with it!  Show details

not bad for money – I have bought this vac for renovation work we are undertaking. Agree with other reviews in relation to being quite noisy but other than that have not had a issue really. Suction is fine and as per previous if hose blocks you can just switch to blow and clears blockage. Easy to manoeuvre.  Show details

Very good – Very satisfied with the product. Vacuums very well. Works good in all surfaces, light and rolls very easily. But a bit too loud and the wire could be longer, but those disadvantage are not fundamental. Worth the price and I recommend it. Works well in 3 room apartment.  Show details

Waste of Money – Looks tough and durable but that's about it, had one last about 5 months, replaced under warranty, the second one lasted about the same, took it back for warranty and was told it would not be warranted because it had pet hair in it. It was only used domestically and mostly for cleaning the cars. So save yourself the trouble and spend some extra money as the two year guarantee is not worth the paper its written on.  Show details

Money for value – It does exactly as you want, plenty of suction. I found it works better with the bag in as it does't loose suction until its full. sometimes things get stuck in the hose, easy fix just put the hose on blow and presto hose is clear. money for value for sure  Show details

Performance – Absolutely useless for a 1200w motor. Extremely bad suction with or without the paperbag. Definitely would not recommend after many years in this industry. Only used a few times. Wish I could get money back. Did give it away, but they brought it back saying the same thing. Bad bad bad bad! I do have other k'archer products which only pass as fair.

Disappointing – Bought a Karcher from Bunnings, went back later for dust bags only to be told that they didn't support the product. Machine worked well for some time using a machined cloth bag. Looks industrial...works sometimes – Karcher call this a Workshop Vac...which is what I bought it for, but it gets clogged very easily as the inlet shield is badly designed, so even dry wood shavings will clog it up quickly, same thing trying to vacuum a few leaves that had blown in the garage. I can't believe Karcher did any significant testing before the released this product. … Read more

Also found the hose fitting into the cleaner is pretty flimsy and stopped locking into place properly - probably worn out already after having to unblock it so many times in the 6 days (light use) since I bought it from Bunnings.

I've had a Karcher pressure cleaner for many years well used and still going strong, so I trusted the brand, sorry mistake, pity, as otherwise it seems OK.

Not worth for the quality and service – I bought a new one from bunnings last year thinking that karcher is good brand, But to my surprise it turned out to be a disaster. Design does not match to its capacity, size too bulk, lacks mobility, too big for storage. Hose is inferior which can break from high pressure suction. And if anything breaks down, there is no quick replacement… Read more

straight away other brands. It takes atleast 10days to assess the fault under free service. Trust me, buy other brands like ryobi, ozito or aldi which not only provide you replacement warranty but also refund with no hassles.

Gutless piece as soon as it gathers the slightest amount of anything small or large, fine or slightl – Noisy, no room for the bag to bulge/enlarge inside the canister, so loses any power it does have, pretty quick due to this. I just went for the Karcher name - should have done my homework first

Great for household with pets – For $100 this vac does a great job of picking up cat hair on carpet. I replaced an old vac worth hundreds which couldn't handle the job. Noise levels are fine and wheels easily. Could use a longer cord though.
