Excellent service from very pleasantly cheerful staff members. A real pleasure shopping in this store! There's a great vibe in the store. The female assistants were always cheerful even on very busy days.

It's a bit horrible that they restrict you on how you use your store credit, e.g. cannot buy on sale items, only full price items. It's not like you didn't actually spend real money in the first place to buy their products. It is always best to try their clothes in store, otherwise you will be stuck with a lot of store credits and their full price clothes are $200+

Very Well Designed – I absolutely love my latest purchase from Kitten D’Amour. I bought the blue Bahia Maxi dress at a size 6, and it fits perfectly. I also purchased it at a good discount. It does an excellent job of showing off your figure whilst remaining modest. I love how it’s vintage too.

The worst few weeks of my life – I've always had great experiences with this brand. I have adored and supported them for decades. whenever they posted previews).

My post stayed up for a few days before on Sunday we woke up to the post deleted and admin stating they were told by kitten d'amour that the negativity had to stop. The comments on my post and others were in no way requiring the threat of litigation, but of course we can't prove that because KDa threatened admin to delete them.

I was in bits.

Kitten d'amour implied to me directly in private messages and in comments that I wanted a "gloves off and wild wild west approach" to social media and that the comments made were derogatory, slander and directly hurt their customers and staff.

My messages to the actual admin were ignored about why my post was deleted.

Kitten d'amour stated in their exclusive group that "someone outside of kitten d'amour" released pre production pictures.

I think they didn't realise that I was a "VIK" and responded to that comment.

Anything I commented on relating to this issue was promptly deleted or turned off.

They had since messaged me several times insisting this post wasn't about me...but why was my post deleted? Customers (who spend thousands a year!) should be allowed to have an opinion in a discussions group without the threat of litigation from group admin.

I have been directly blamed, shamed and had dergaraoty comments made about me by staff, customers and group members.

Even worse, days later after suffering a mental breakdown because of all of this, I saw comments from self proclaimed staff member that she loved the drama and was eating popcorn (but the comments were so awful and hurtful to staff??) and that she found those of us who had a legitimate opinion "miserable" because "misery loves company." I will never step foot in a store again and they've got their last dollar out of me. I've spent literal thousands on this brand.

I've had the worst few weeks of my life. Absolutely awful to treat your customers this way. And to still blame a "freelance photographer" for promos myself and others took from your Facebook page....

I was offered a call from the owner Alana but declined because, as mentioned my mental health was so poor that I was a wreck. I hadn't eaten or slept in days.

That was only after they told me they weren't going to respond to me anymore. I had comments made towards me and directly to my by other customers because of this.

They asked admin to delete the post but I'm still accused of partaking in something that never happened.

Yet their own staff members are allowed to talk about customers in the very same (non affiliated) group.

When I saw comments from the staff memberhowever, I asked for that call for an explanation only to be told the matter was "closed" to them.

It doesn't seem closed if your own staff members are still talking about it in the very same group myself and others had our posts deleted and told you (kitten d'amour) could sue admin for the comments.

It's really unfair to threaten something like that whilst having admin delete any potential evidence of what you now claim was said (that was defamatory, false and could damage your brand.)

My heart is broken.

As a customer, I will never support a brand who does this kind of thing.

To threaten admin with legal action to remove my post but have your own staff members in the very same group making disparaging comments about customers...absolutely awful.

I've since been blocked from their email, Facebook page and VIK group. I had to log into an alternative account to ask them to please delete the content I posted in the group which thankfully they obliged. They only blocked me because the original review on trust pilot that they tried to flag as defamatory was kept up by trust pilot. They keep sending me emails to review them though based on the thousands of purchases I've made in the last few months alone...but they've blocked me from contacting them at all.

And now (in December 2024) they keep sending me emails asking for a five star reviews in exchange for points. Unethical and shady company. Beware of any company who offers points or rewards in exchange for 5 star reviews.

It's ALL MARKETING, promotion and pretty pictures. They don't even use "REAL" LACE anymore! It's all uncomfortable, hot, scratchy synthetic trash.

When I tried to return a top which got pullers after only three wears and HADN'T been washed, KDM refused. They think they don't have to "fix" manufacturing faults and "ABIDE" by: Australian Government Consumer Laws meaning: they are selfish, money hungry, arrogant Narcissists. MANY people have claimed KDM refused refunds, which is NOT OK and UNACCEPTABLE. ⚠️

Wake up ladies KDM isn't what it seems. The designs are cheap copies. I got a free black spot polyamide cardigan which was ripped off an American cardigan EXACT SAME: pattern, material, design. Only difference was the colour red. KDM is not original, it's all borrowed from designers, black fake "lace", "low grade" cotton tops ripped off from the "REAL" Artisans Dolce & Gabbana, Collette Dinnigan and the like.

The "Darling" comments they always use are condescending and patronizing, especially when the staff are twenty something's.

The crap music blasting at Brisbane city store is terrible, asked them to turn it down and they refused!⚠️

Had the nerve to charge me for an item I NEVER bought when it was scanned to check price and I spent over $500! Had to waste time getting my money back, all the while being called "darling." Stuff that.⚠️

Have tried to unsubscribe FIVE times and they say "we don't want to harrass you", yet I STILL keep getting emails about their crappy tacky clothes! ⚠️

if stain comes out. They gave me instructions I followed but the marks remained. I emailed them with photos and they organised for me to send item back for free and they sent me a new one. They were super friendly and understanding. They were very fair. I love their clothes and stores and staff. It's a special treat when I visit the Gold Coast. back literally straight away, less than 2 hours later, and was told they don’t refund returns, and pointed to a random note they had on the counter. They did however say they’ll give me a gift card with the money. Fast forward to this week, when I went to the chermside store,and when I tried to pay with this ‘gift’ card they told me I couldn’t use it on sale items, as it’s an ‘in store credit’, not a gift card! I was about to spend $180 and only 1 top wasn’t a sale item… and I was told that’s the only thing I could buy on this card.. how is this okay?? I spend $198 on a full price item, and suddenly this is no longer money but becomes part of their internal definition of what it can or can’t be used for? I’ve never had this experience with any store before, and I feel it’s unethical and dishonest as they should make this policy very clear to anyone who buys there. I won’t be shopping there anymore.

Today is the day where I have been made to feel like a outcast judged and ashamed by your upper Managment.. Made to feel ashamed of wanting to a supporting a small Australian business. It is a feeling that no one wants to feel. It’s thw Managment that has left me in tears while speaking to them via phone in a Kitren D’Amour store whilst strongly advised myself “NOT” to shop anymore within the company. This has sadly Made to feel judged based on how I choose to spend and obtain Kitten D’Amour products.

Kitten D’Amour, This is sad to hear especially in today’s environment where it is important to obtain customers or keep a business going long term regardless of how you choose to spend within a brand,

You have no idea how sad and upset I am today over this, this has truly made me lose faith in a brand that I once loved. It’s sad to see management act in such a unprofessional, manner regarding the ciumstances to make a Kitten fan really upset.

the small touches can be very charming and elevate a shopping experience. Unfortunately, Kitten do not cover cost for returns if you need to send something back. Given their price range is already very high, this additional cost to return goods may be a deterrent for some customers. It would also be good if you could use your KittyCash on their sale items.

A great (newer) addition to their website has been their blog section, where they take the time to review the size and fit of a lot of their garments. This is has been extremely helpful, as in the past, it has been very difficult to determine the size/fit of their clothing, given most of their products do not have any/very limited stretch. This can typically make sizing very small.

wear a size 6 (which fits me with zero wiggle room). Came carefully packaged in a sealed watertight bag, with a hand written card and gift wrapped with a cute ribbon. I also like that the dresses are limited in production. So there's only X amount in your size. You therefore won't see clones of yourself down the street.

photos online or on their printed advertising they refuse to refund. As long as you return within a very strict time frame you can get a voucher that allows you to buy full priced items only and doesn’t allow you to use on sale items for future purchases. Given many of their dresses cost around $300 this is a lot of money to have sitting on an exchange card to use at a later date. Their stores are lovely and sales people so friendly. I love shopping in store. Their exchange and refund policies though do leave a very bitter taste in your mouth if something goes wrong. If they improved on this then (and made the prices more affordable) they would be the perfect place to shop as the clothing is absolutely divine. For now I will continue to shop with them but each time I do place an order I’m always nervous that the clothes might not quite be right and I’ll end up out of pocket.

Won't take responsibility – I am very upset with this company! Contacted them via online chat about my jeans leaking after having them for a few months and if there is anything I can do to stop it. Followed their advise and they told me to use this specific product and they completely blotched up! They won't take responsibility on reimbursement because I have washed them. Worst company I had to deal with!

When I returned it to the shop and explained, I asked for a refund. I was denied. I could exchange or get a voucher - I didn't want anything else in the shop. I have never, in 50 years of shopping, been denied a refund when a product turned out to the other than what I thought it would be - 99% of shops I visit give refunds for any reason. The attendant sent an email to Sydney, asking for permission to refund the money! I have to wait three days for, the reply! In the meantime I am out $80 and there is no guarantee I will have it returned.

This policy is particularly unfair to those on low incomes - they would effectively lose this money and until refunded (if it is) could not buy an alternative for the special occasion.

Outcome, whether I get my refund or not - I'll never shop there again, and neither will my extended friendship network, or 3 daughters, all of whom pronounced the top ill-fitting. Really bad PR - I'll be spreading this message far and wide.

advised to file a Court Claim to force them to refund my money.

Zero Customer loyalty and a smart attitude.

They seem to believe that because they are a small business they can avoid adhering to Consumer Law.

Shoppers, know that under Statutory Warranty, if your purchase is not as described, you are entitled to a refund under the law no matter what the store claims it's policy to be.

Extremely disappointing, I will never shop with them again, it's too risky.
