I’m very disappointed with Pet Circle Insurance. I have been paying for over a year and when I finally tried to make first claim, the process took a very long time. Unfortunately, this experience made me feel like the insurance wasn’t worth it. I'm trying to cancel the insurance but seems very difficult. I hope the company can improve the claims process and be more transparent about what is actually covered.
WARNING RUN! Tried contacting Pet Circle multiple times to cancel one of my Policies as I no longer have that dog & I have emailed them to cancel. I CANCELLED THAT CARD ONLINE USED TO PAY FOR THAT PARTICULAR DOG. I have 2 Policies as I still have my other dog. trying to use the card I use for my other dog to direct debit for the dog I no longer have!! Now they have aligned the dog I no longer have and aligned the payments on the same day when they used to be both due on different dates and at least 2 weeks apart from one another, what GREEDY SCAMMERS! And you DO NOT GET your 2 months interest free as I didn't get that with my 2nd dog & they direct debit 5 days later & I did not get the chance to Salary Sacrifice in time & I lost monies! They say to contact them if you have a problem, but they clearly dont listen and keep trying to suck every dollar out of you! Now my bank just declines them because they try & withdraw over the amount in my account which is there for the dog I still have and are stuffing up his insurance & thats not getting paid. My advice is; RUN!! PET CIRCLE INSURANCE are dodgy scammers!

have it! Getting refund is easy, you down load your bill through the portal and get your vet to send clinical notes. Then you are notified of your claim being processed, what is covered and refund will go to your nominated account. Easy and I am not technical.

Came into my first claim with very positive impressions of this insurer, thinking my pets would be in safe hands. My first and last claim changed that completely. of over three weeks, before having to reach out myself directly via phone for an update. While it is understandable to have the odd delay, it is more important to communicate this clearly and in a timely manner to keep customers in the loop and feeling valued. For a worried pet parent, indefinite waiting is not a light feeling. A simple reply of receipt/acknowledgment is not only courtesy, but would have made the difference, and would have taken very little time. This came across as deeply unprofessional and distasteful.
Considering the premiums paid, I would have expected better customer service. I will be thinking twice next time and have taken my fur babies to another insurer. It is a shame as the parent company is always great and responsive.

for X-rays and a stay overnight. The next day she had to go to an orthopaedic surgeon, and plaster on her foot and leg. She is still going to the vet for follow up bandage changes. When she had her accident we were on our 2 months free from Pet Circle the emergency vet sent the paperwork through to Pet Circle who fixed the claim paperwork and they have been looking after me all the way. Pet Circle have kept me informed every step of the way. They have paid me in a very fast manner since day one. The staff have been so supportive and professional in all of the dealings I have had with them. I am so glad I went with Pet Circle it has made a very difficult situation so much easier to deal with. Overall very good value – CONS: They don't offer gap payment options, meaning you have to pay up front and then lodge a claim for reimbursement. The process for assessing claims is quite slow (mine took 5 weeks) which makes things extremely difficult financially when you've had to pay out thousands of dollars for your beloved pet's treatment. will be sped up if you contact them regularly to assist with accessing information such as vet's notes and medical histories, etc.
PROS: Although the claims process is lengthy, it is fair and thorough, and I cannot fault their generous 70%, 80%, and 90% rebate options. Their excess even for the 90% option is fair, and only has to be paid once per calendar year. They paid out on my beloved dog's expensive specialist claims even though I'd only been with them less than six months. I will definitely be staying with them for the remainder of my just-turned-8-year-old dog's life, and am now thinking of purchasing policies with them for my two cats.
Therefore, I do recommend Pet Circle Insurance if you need the day-to-day convenience of a cheaper premium but also have the means to cover your vet bills temporarily.

Once a claim is lodged, they have reimbursed me within a week, and they've been great. Their email claims system is buggy for now--my vet clinic's emails tend to get lost in their inbox. But it's speedy if you upload the invoice directly to the insurance portal and let them contact the clinic directly for notes. I'll update this review if anything changes. Show details

I like the “no frills” approach as there’s no need to cover for all of the things that we expect to pay for our pets anyway like yearly consults and vaccinations, registration, worming etc. All these types of covers just increase the premiums. Have been with them for 29 months and paying monthly only to find out I’m not insured as they were unable to verify my cats vet details. Only reason I found out is because I emailed questioning re refund for claims I put in in May. So rather than cancelling the insurance and notifying me they took the monthly payments out every month for 29… Read more
months. And after I emailed them telling them how disgusted I was they tried to take out another $51.06 last night even though they took the monthly payment out on 24 Sept!!!

I held pet insurance policies with Pet Circle Insurance for my two dogs this year (2025). I was double-billed at the start of the policy ($386.88), which took multiple follow-ups and around two weeks to be refunded. Claims were advertised as being processed within 5 days but often took several weeks to finalise (e.g. a claim lodged 23 April was… Read more

Pre-approval requests submitted in August required several follow-ups and a phone call before I received a response in September.
Several of my emails went to unmonitored inboxes, which created further delays.
When I requested cancellation effective 20 October 2025, I was advised it would instead be cancelled 15 November 2025 to align with billing cycles.
Based on these experiences, I decided to move my pets to another insurer.

I made a claim recently for an event where my puppy had chewed the wrapper of rat bait - it had been blown into the garden. The claim was easily made and was quickly processed. The policy pays 75% of claims. I have been with them for 2.5 years. I have only made one claim to date. The insurance service was very efficient & the Uni Vet team submitted Bonnie's claim for me so very hassle free. The Insurance team communicated with me via email all steps until the claim was paid.
