Pet Insurance - Top Accident & Illness CoverI have 2 dogs Kippie who is 11 1/2 years has been fully covered for everything that I have claimed with only a small gap to pay, Ruskin has hardly had anything claimed except for recently and am very happy with his cover. Ruskin is nearly 5 years old on 13/8/23. Would fully recommend Seniors Pet Insurance for anyone looking for pet insurance. You might think as I did its a lot of money to pay when you are not claiming, but when you have to claim its well worth it, you never know when you will require it. Can you use with any vet or are there restrictions
Hi Diane, I’m sure you can use whichever vet service you choose as far as I know there are no restrictions. Over the years I have used several different vet clinics when I have moved and never had any problems with my pet insurance. Kind regards Judy.

On page 27 of our Policy booklet, it states Vet means any veterinarian, veterinary specialist, animal hospital, animal clinic, or animal surgery, other than yourself, who is licensed in and currently registered in Australia.
In terms of restrictions, we will not pay for Vet Expenses incurred by you during the Policy Period for any amount if you or your Pet live permanently outside of Australia and any benefit where the Pet has been or is going to be out of Australia for a period of more than 60 consecutive days. We also offer GapOnly for our customers. GapOnly allows your vet to lodge a claim and it can be assessed online in approximately 10 minutes. Once this has been processed and approved, you simply pay the gap, being the difference between the vet's invoice and the claim benefit under your policy and go.

Hi Alisa I think Donna means how old does the person have to be to join Seniors Pet Insurtance? is that correct Donna? I actually get asked this question all the time but as I am now 75 I dont know whether it is available to people under 55 or 65?

Does your insurance cover snake bites please

Our Specified Accidental Injury component covers events like snake bites, bone fractures, bite wounds, allergic reactions to insect or arachnid bites other than ticks or fleas and if an injury was sustained as a direct result of a motor vehicle incident.

About Seniors Pet Insurance
Seniors Pet Insurance lets you protect your cat or dog by covering things like accidental injury and sickness.
You can choose from 3 levels of cover:
- Top Accident & Illness Cover, which gets you up to 80% back from eligible vet bills (up to $12,000 per year).
- Essential Accident & Illness Cover, which gets you up to 75% back from eligible vet bills (up to $12,000 per year).
- Basic Accident & Illness Cover, which gets you up to 60% back from eligible vet bills (up to $12,000 per year, at $2000 per condition).
You can cover your cat or dog from 8 weeks old, and up to 9 years old for Top and Essential cover, and up to under 16 years old for Basic Cover.
Seniors Pet Insurance also has added extras without the added cost. You’ll get overseas cover (NZ and Norfolk Island) and emergency boarding included in your plan. In-home vet visits are also covered for when you can’t get your four-legged friend to the vet. To top it off, you don’t need to pay any excess.
The insurer complies with the General Insurance Code of Practice to give their customers the highest possible standard of service.
