I should have come here 1st OMFG. Just got scammed by Koala Lamps for over $600 for a 80inch ceiling fan. I contacted them and they replied saying its the company providing the fans thats at fault and it should have been sent last week, and the fan is coming. testaments I can see what they are doing, string you along for months saying its on its way. Ive requested a charge bank through my bank and sent them this Product Review page as evidence of the scam company. DISGRACEFUL

check with the warehouse. A day later I got confirmation that that order had been sent from the supplier. I have received my order today and it was exactly what I ordered 11 days(pretty reasonable timeframe) after placing the order.
Just wanted to put people’s mind at ease based on other reviews.
Supply performance has all the appearances of a SCAM. If it's not a scam, then this is the worst run lighting supply business in Australia. Phone calls and emails are never returned. shops online that are reputable and proven - 'Koala Lamps and Lighting' are not one of them.
They have to date provided two separate dates when they claim to have provided an order to the wholesaler for the four ceiling mounted downlights. On both occasions they have not provided copies of those orders in response to my requests. Obviously, they don't actually hold any stock. So you purchase product that they don't actually have control of. Presumably if you cancel an order, the best Koala will offer is a credit note against other products, none of which they control stock off. Such a presumption is supported by other reviews on this platform.
Spare yourself the stress, shop online at say 'The Lighting Outlet'.

Most of the order arrives but some of the lights were sent separately and got "lost" by the courier. Maybe... I dunno...
I get the lights, I have them installed with some dimmer switches. One of the dimmer switches doesn't work. I had a guy on my doorstep from KLL in three days to collect it and I'm still waiting for the final LEDs and the replacement dimmer to arrive!
I called KLL one last time and my call went through to voicemail, it's approaching COB on Friday and we'd been discussing sending the remaining lights since Monday. I flipped out... bad form on my part. I was so over having to follow up and cajole these guys into action that I lost it (ended the voice message with "just send me the &^%$ lights" and then called a bunch of times hoping they'd eventually pick up).
Then nothing... Finally a text message comes through chastising me for my rudeness and unprofessional conduct and that they wouldn't talk to me if I was going to be like that... Somehow I'm the reason it's got to where we are.
Finally the lights arrived, I was installing the last three and when installing the second, I realised that the first didn't have the plastic cover over the plug. I come to the third and again no plastic guard. So I looked at the boxes more closely and they're all beaten up, the light I'm holding is fine, but the driver has a bunch of marks on it. Looks like I was sent some showroom lights, hopefully not some returns... but they work and honestly if they fail I don't think I'd bother following it up with KLL.

They are scammers! Please don't buy anything from their online store!! They don't deliver products! Complain to all possible institutions (like your bank, VIC consumer rights and ACCC) if you have sent them money and haven't got anything. I tried to contact them, they replied & claimed how good and nice they were, but still didn't deliver anything.

Purchased a Lamp from Koala Lamps and Lighting. Sent several texts and emails when it did not arrive as their shipping policy. They kept promising that it would be delivered, but still nothing came. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, IT IS A TOTAL SCAM. If you do, be prepared to say goodbye to the money spent.

Quite possibly the worst online retail experience I have ever had! – Long, long delays, Poor communication, Lie after lie, Excuse after excuse, No refund provided despite requests and still no product delivered or even sent after several months! Pursuing a chargeback through my bank as I am getting nowhere with the business. Will be reporting to ACCC and Consumer Affairs. Disgusting that there are people like this in business.

response was it had not reached the processing stage of 5 - 7 days as they closed down for Christmas on the 13th Dec and their supplier closed down on 20 Dec. We were informed the supplier would have stocks on 14/01/25 and order would receive priority and we would receive update at that time. Come 29/01 no correspondence from them, so another email request sent. No response from koala so a further email sent requesting a refund. We felt their lack of customer service in keeping us updated plus the excuses for delays... something dodgy. I raised a dispute with my bank, provided them with copies of all sent and received emails and after time investigating, i received a refund from my financial institution. Then, koala lamps emailed and were annoyed that the dispute was raised and requested us to cancel the dispute. Not a chance. The monies was removed from their acc whilst under investigation. Kay, from koala lamps and lighting tried to make excuses that there was no reasonable time limit for dispatching and receiving your order, this is an agreement the purchaser accepts when they place their order on their site. I absolutely, positively DO NOT RECOMMEND even engaging the thought of purchasing from Koala lamps and lighting. We have lodged complaints with ACCC and consumer affairs Vic.

emailed, No response. . I finally filed a claim with the credit card company ANZ Visa. I emailed the company and advised them of my actions and received an angry, but quick reply, to reverse that claim and that they would refund the money. It is now August and I have heard nothing and have received no refund.

Bunnings to get another fan 13/05/24 Koala Lamps responded
"We are behind in response to emails due to staff shortage. We will check your order and provide an update within 24hrs."
14-17/05/24 No update received or dispatch details were received 17/05/24 I responded saying that I would initiate a refund through my credit card as Koala Lamps did not provide me with any dispatch details and then ignored my request for a refund. I had to organised a separate product through Bunnings. 18/05/24 I initiated the refund through my credit card but Koala Lamps apparently said to my credit card company that they would initiate the refund. Koala lamps did not notify me of this. 26/05/24 I checked on the status of the dispute and noticed that it was closed and I reopened the dispute and was credited to my account.
Not once did Koala Lamps notify me on when I was to receive the order. Koala Lamps did not notify me that they were going to refund me. There were zero updates throughout the entire process.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! – Took my money, gave excuse after excuse why shipping had been delayed. 2 months later I have had to initiate a charge back via my credit card.
Unprofessional – It’s been a month and they didn’t provide any shipment email/ tracking number/ no answer to my emails inquiring about my order. Unprofessional and lame Will never order from them again
Worst online shopping experience ever! – Took 7 weeks to have 2 fans delivered from NSW to Vic. Never received promised call backs regarding order status. Do yourself a favour, never deal with Koala Lamps!

Great product in Koala Lamps – The light shade is great has dim and light which is really cool to use.
Awesome! – Really love the lamp design and lights make its pop the true beauty in it. Hope it lasted long for a good cost.

Within 12hrs full charge back approved by CBA, I'd say the CC companies are getting sick of these dodgy operators.
