A not mixer! – I purchased the 1200w deluxe stand mixer. The attachments don't reach the bottom. Advertised well including all attachments for a good price but cannot mix flour and eggs. I have since tried the meat grinder attachment which I am happy with. Good only for grinding and not for making sausages as the opening is too thin to shove ground meat in to. Cheap but useless in the end and will fork out more money for a proper mixer.  Show details

Same problem as other reviews – Brought around 18 months ago. Very noisy. But did the job at first. Only used a handful of times and the balloon whisk fell apart. Can't buy replacement parts, So really a big waste of money has been sitting in my cupboard for around 12 months unused. mixing blades don't work properly – I have only just started using this product and have been completely disappointed as it can't even mix cake ingredients. bottom or sides of the bowl so that ingredients need to be manually wiped from sides to mix. This is useless for a mixer as you have to stop regularly to do this! My old hand mixer took less time and effort.

Useless Product – I am not satisfied about the product at all.It doesn't mix the stuff in the bowl properly as the blade doesn't reach the edges and the bottoms of the bowl.We sent the item back to the supplier but still they sent back the same item doing nothing I would not recommend any body to buy this product.

Bloody pain!! – I bought the mixer for my daughter and she used it a couple times and told me that none of the blades reach the bottom, so nothing can be mixed properly. The simple fact is that it does not do the job that it was intended for. Not fit for purpose. The height of the blade is not adjustable unless you have mechanical knowledge and two little washers. Should be taken off the market, absolutely useless.

Disappointed With Customer Service – I received a Kogan deluxe stand mixer as a gift about 18 months ago. Whilst the mixer is incredibly noisy, it is easy to use & works reasonably well. However, my balloon whisk broke 4 months ago & I am still waiting on a replacement. I wouldn't recommend buying this product simply because you can’t get spare parts.

Beater Problems – Like other users, I found that the mixer doesn't reach the sides so need to keep manually scraping down the bowl. The beater with the plastic edge fell apart as did the whisk! The speed dial also failed with several speed settings now not working. On a positive note, I do use it a lot and it keeps on working, just not the way it is supposed to. I wouldn't recommend it or buy another.

Update on my review – My poor old mixer is starting to have some problems.......when it mixes it goes fast then slow, cannot make up its mind as to what speed I put it on....but it still mixes, don't think I would invest in another Kogan, I would probably try and get a better more reliable brand!!!

Mixer does not reach bottom of bowl – I found it strange that the mixing blade did not reach the bottom of bowl so I rang Kogan. I was informed that the blade could be adjusted by turning the knob numbered 4 on your mixer to the right or left. Easy fix but there is no instructions on that in the manual.

Average – Have had this mixer for quite a while now, and whilst it does the job, it does require you to be constantly stopping and starting to scrape the edges as it doesn't reach anywhere near the edges. Other than that it works well, hasn't let me down in making a cake. Probably just more labour intensive than i would have expected from a stand mixer.

great mixer till beater fell to bits – I have this mixer and loved it till last week the beater just fell to bits in my pavlova. I thought well I'll just buy the part but guess what they don't sell them my mixer is now useless to me I would never buy another Kogan product as they didn't care. I'll stick to a brand I know best that I can buy parts for. Although I had my mum's old sunbeam that never needed a part it was over 20 years old. Please think of this when purchasing.

excellent – I have the 1200w version and use it to make big pizza dough and it does it quick and easily. Leave it for 10 min and it is soft and stretchy like it should be

Service personified – I have used your Mixer a number of times and found it to be of excellent quality, and does all the things I ask of it.

Do not buy this product!!! – Everything that you rinse or wash including raw fish/meat gets inside the base which is welded onto the mixing bowl. The gap is not watertight and so whatever liquid that is trapped inside will stink like rotten carcase. Would like a refund if possible.

Good value – Good product value for money. Shopping was easy and delivery of the product was in good time.i will recomend this product.

We just love it – I had priced around for a similar item, Our mixer at $99 was an excellent price and quality compared to the rest. No problem with delivery either.

Really needed mixer just what i ordered - perfect – Good price, does everything advertisement said it would, very quick and efficient delivery packaged well with no damage. Like the way Kogan keeps you upto date of delivery. It also mixes the bread dough and scone mix to perfection

Good product considering the price – I've had this mixer since the beginning of January, and I use it primarily to make bread dough (so it works with some seriously heavy dough). No problems in terms of power or brute force...using the dough hook attachment, it kneads a pretty good ball of dough. it doesn't reach the bottom to whip only a couple of egg whites; also don't like the "paddle" attachment very much - doesn't seem to mix how I expected it to, and definitely doesn't scrape the sides of the bowl... Having said that, I've never had a mixer before, so I've got nothing to compare this to. It DOES do what I want, and that's kneading bread dough...everything else would be a nifty bonus, but I have other tools that are just as easy to pull out and use (hand mixers, etc.). The Kogan had a weird and loud rattle that accompanied its noisiness at the beginning, but I seem to have "burned it in" and even though it's still loud, it doesn't rattle (emailed Kogan about this issue and they never responded - naughty Kogan!). The stainless steel bowl is nice; the attachments are cheap, but they've held up. I use it about three times a week to whip up batches of dough, and have had no real problems with it. One day I hope to invest in a KitchenAid, but for the time being, this has been decent value for money and a good learning tool. If it lasts me 2-3 years, I will be very happy. Mixer blades do not reach side of bowl – Mixer blades do not reach side of bowls so you need to constantly stop and manually move the mix. OK but very disappointing as it does not mix a basic biscuit mixture. Same problem as Don Johnston has mentioned with his mixer. Very disappointing to see that he has not received good after sale service. Doesn't mix from edge of bowls - so fails as a mixer

Great Mixer For A Small Price – Have had the mixer for about 6 month and the Kogan 1000W Stand mixer has not let me down. I have mixed pizza dough and whipped cream and my daughter have done a few cake mixes in the mixer. However the mixer is a bit noisy but on the other hand the price is about a 1/3 of what you would expect to pay for another 1000w mixer at the shop.. The price, the look and the quality. A bit noisy.

Great mixer for a great price – I bought this as a gift for my girlfriend. she has used it to make countless cup cakes. it runs extremely well and doesn't miss a beat. the mixes are smooth as they could be. it definitely put a smile on my kitchen queens face. Mixer blades don't reach the sides of the bowl – Used for first time today to make a cake but batter did not get mixed very well as the blades did not reach far enough. Had to get out my hand mixer to finish the job which defeats the purpose in my book. Also feels pretty flimsy but it was cheap so I got what I paid for, I guess. Doesn't do it's job

Cheap, loud, inadequate mixer – Just got it. It is plasticky, lightweight and cheap feeling. The dough hook and similar parts are made from aluminium and not stainless steel. not use it to make dough; it does not feel sturdy enough. I've had another, much heavier and better finished mixer (Sunbeam) fail when making dough. I'll keep this one for whisking and making scones, damper, meringues etc, and hope it lasts a while.

Update: this machine is unable to whisk egg whites! My wife put 2 large egg whites into the bowl and ran it for several minutes, but the whites were not whisked because the beaters do not reach deep enough! Does what it says on the box – Quite happy with this mixer. Only had it a few months but have had no problems with it yet. It does feel quite flimsy though, especially when compared to our old kenwood which decided to die. Have used it several times so far and nothing to report, it does its job, no more or less.
