I have accidentally wiped the firmware on my Kogan TV and now cannot get past 'start-up'. Is it possible to reload and get everything up and running again?

My TV turns on, tries to load and then turs off. Can you tell me how to fix this. The back plare says it is KALED49KU8000SZC. I think I need to upload the software but cannot find it
Your assumption is correct...I have the same problem. Wish I could be of some help (still searching).
Why did this TV barely last a year? Why is this issue so common? Why has Kogan recommend a firmware update that doesn't exist? And why haven't I read in any forums that anyone has been able to rectify this problem? I mean I actually did rectify my Kogan problem by ripping it off my wall and going out and buying a 50" Samsung and putting that up in its place, the one and only way to fix this Kogan issue is by replacing it with a trusted brand, really poor form Kogan.

I searched and searched and found nothing, absolute waste of time, I suggest you do what I did l, count your losses and dump the Kogan and replace it with a trusted brand, lesson learned.
I attempted to turn the television on several times and it won't go past the loading screen, it turns itself off after trying to load for less than a minute. I've turned the power off at the wall, turned it back on and attempted to turn on the TV to no avail. What's the problem? Does that mean I’ve brought a dud tv from Kogan. Is this fixable or should I put tv in bin thanks
Hi Jasmine. Sorry to hear that you are having problems. If you have just brought this TV then clearly it’s under warranty and I’d contact Kogan as it sound like you are having technical issues as you cannot get past the setting up stage. They might be able to talk you through it and fix the problem, if not then they have to give you a new TV. Hope that helped. Cheers Eva

Kogan is a limited company and will not be held accountable outside of any warranty. Those who have been bitten already choose more professional companies to deal with who have ongoing assistance that enables customers to trust them...goodbye Kogan!
Cannot find the firmware upgrade for this model anywhere with a google search, nor on Kogan website.

The TV has a VGA port. Plug your laptop into it & select that input from your remote
Hi, can you please advise where the firmware upgrade download is for this model as that seems to be what I need to install from googling why I can't get past the loading screen anymore. It was working fine a few days ago and now I can't get it to work....

Here's their response (forgot to come back and post it). I've copied and pasted the link address in as it should start automatically downloading. It works fine now. Not sure why it's not included on their website.

Please follow the steps below to download and install this update on your TV:
Download the firmware upgrade by right-clicking on the link below and selecting 'Save link as...' or 'Save target as...':
KALED49KU8000SZC - Firmware File (https://www.kogan.com/media/files/support_files/KALED49KU8000SZC%20Original/MstarUpgrade.bin)
Copy or Save the "MstarUpgrade.bin" file onto an empty USB stick. Please ensure that your USB stick has no other files on it and is 16GB or smaller in size.
Please unplug the power adapter from the rear of your TV and confirm that the standby light on the front of the TV has turned off.
Insert the USB stick into the TV and reconnect the power adapter.
Press and hold the power button on the TV until a blue screen appears. It should now be installing the firmware.
The TV will restart automatically once it has finished installing.
Has anyone had any luck getting a refund from Kogan once finding problems with the tv?
I got a new tv which at first kept switching itself off every couple minutes and now won’t load at all and trying to deal with Kogan has been a nightmare as they do not seem bothered by my situation at all.
