We have a Kogan 55 inch which we purchased about 12 months, and all of a sudden we cannot turn it on. Red light is showing but won’t turn on, we have changed batteries in remote. Thank Vicki

Hi, I recently purchased my Kogan 50” Smarter Tv (Android Smart TV) got it delivered last week Wednesday (29th Jan 2020) plugged in it set up was fine. Everything went great. 3 days later it just stopped working won’t switch fully turn on. Kogan logo appears for a few seconds then it just goes blank. I have tried power cycle, firmware update. It has been 2 days since it stopped working and I’ve been trying everything. Can anyone help

Get in contact with Kogan through their very difficult to find the warranty section and get a new TV. The quality of these products is atrocious.

Hi, Had an issue with my 4K 55” smart tv. About 5 three months ago it stop working so I went through the process of firmware upgrade that fixed it but now it stopped working again. Firmware update does not fix it this time. When I turn the tv on it go to the loading screen for a few minutes and the the screen goes blank and nothing else happens. I tried all the suggested power resets but no luck. Any help? Regards Dan

Same happened with ours. Couldn't be fixed. We returned the tv and got a refund.

Unfortunately mine is well out of its warranty period so returning it’s not a option. I do believe I got reasonable use from it and would have expected it to last a fair bit longer. Sorry Kogan lost a customer. I wouldn’t be replacing it with another Kogan that’s for sure.

Yes same here Dan. It was trouble from the start. Now just recycling through loading etc. Same advice to people. Don’t buy Kogan. Also, when first bought the help desk will keep you going in circles until you give up. They speak nicely but they know that the product is a recycled Samsung and is junk.

I agree. I wouldn't touch Kogan again with a barge pole. My 2 year old Kogan Smart TV suddenly stopped working, tried all suggested avenues via their "Help" page (what a joke, that is, going around in circles and no-one to actually talk to!!!) so now it appears, was a complete waste of money - they are rubbish!!! During I am watching the tv I heard small bang and the tv died after It doesn’t work any more. I just bought it from about 4 years only. What can I do now?

Hi

I've done the firmware upgrade and now the SMART TV Loading.... just cycles through every 30 seconds or so. I don't get the Kogan logo any more. Treble checked I have the correct firmware against the sticker on the back of the TV.

anyone had this problem?

Not that I'm aware of. Try Kogan tech support. They're very good.

Hi, I did not encounter any problem like that , firmware installation went smooth 1- was the memory stick formatted at 32bit and nothing on it when you downloaded the firmware to it ? 2- did you plug it in port 1 ?

3- did you use power button on tv and held

4- did you unplug the tv from the power point & waited till red light went off (statistic) before start the process

5- did you plug back power and turn on the tv from the actual tv itself and held it till blue screen came on ? (Don’t use remote control)

Do it again if you miss out on something

I managed to get past the problem. After many hours of googling, i found a link to another version of the firmware (probably a deprecated version) this version worked.

hello my friend has the kaled55uhdza model and it is stuck on smart tv loading and seems the remote doesn't want to work on it to try to turn it off but used it on a friends kogan tv and still works we tried the latest firmware upgrade but still not loading up or working seems like a manafacture software issue as a lot of ppl having the same problem with a 3 yr old tv???? Any help?

Sorry guys I don't work for Kogan and it's a question you should be asking there support team about not normal civilians that use product review.. AND your question shouldn't be posted on this thread as it's nothing to do with this model TV, your model like came out in 2013 and is no longer, this link I found in 30sec apon doing a Google search might be helpful, but I feel I shouldn't be commenting as this thread(question and my answer) doesn't relate to the series 9 Agora 4k TV models..(yours is a older series) note the ZA model, this review is for the current ZF models.I don't want to offend anyone with my answer but you must understand from my end how frusting I feel with someone asking me this question that doesn't even relate to my TV at all

Will the kaled55uhdza agora smart kogan tv download and play KODI AND OR netflix? also my tv is in same room as my router on adsl+2 about 6 meters, and no obstacles between them but sometimes when downloading it freezes and a sign says no internet connection.

It uses Android Kit Kat, so yes it will. You may have an unreliable wifi connection. If your router is not close to the TV, try moving your wireless router closer to the TV or get wifi extender.

We have a Kogan smart TV kaled55uhdza and it will not turn on. We have retrieved new software numerous times off the internet, which has worked for a little while and then the same thing happens. Is there a product recall on this TV as we have noticed there are 1000's of complaints about this TV doing the same thing. Will you allow us to return this TV?

Hi

I wish if i could be happy with the product, and write nice review.

I get delivered 55" Agora Smart TV today. Firstly, I can't plugged tv antena cable, which is 75ohm (manual says 75ohm is fine). Could you tell me exactly what size antena cable do i need to purchase ?

And the other thing, this TV is supposed to be SMART but its online functions like, youtube etc. are dodgy. I don't know if i misunderstood but advertisement is misleading to me.

Yes very hard to operate. Took me a week to tune and still unable to get SBS on demand.

I had an epic fail with this TV after almost 2 years, simply won't turn on (powers on, but won't start). This TV came without a serial sticker which makes me wonder what to do when seeking refund / waranty as I have no record of the transaction with Kogans; I'm not even sure if I bought the extended waranty, no idea where to go from, any idea what I can do to find out if I'm still under waranty? as Kogans doesn't use account numbers with its clients.

I bought this tv 12 months ago it's worked fine up until now. It now Takes forever to load when it does eventually load it gets stuck in the menu screen and I can't select anything after a few minutes like that, it switches itself off and on again. Only to wait 5 mins for a re boot. Any ideas to rectify the problem. Is there a way to reset it??

My old rear projection tv lasted me 8 years before blowing up, this has only lasted 16 months and is frustrating
