VerifiedHi, It is October 2021. I have had my TV since 2015 and for the past couple of years cannot connect to a lot of sites with the internet browser. I keep getting either internet is not available or This is an insecure website. When is the firmware update coming out?. especially with the recent security and website changes again this month. The TV is less than 10years old, so am I correct in stating it has to have parts available etc...for 10 years? or has consumer law changed? The TV is no longer fit for purpose under the web browsing capabilities. An example is only connecting to Google (so I must be on line) and not being able to follow search links to realestate.com.au Your response would be appreciated. Greg

Why would I have no sound coming from my tv?
One time I tried to watch a DVD and I could see the image, but couldn't hear the sound. I was using a HDMI connection. In the end I found that there is a setting for the sound. It was pretty well hidden somewhere under sound settings, it took me a long time to discover it. It was about selecting HDMI sound version xx instead of version yy. I am not sure if it applies to your TV, some people suggested to check if you don't have the internal speakers turned off in settings.

I have a Kaled55uhdzd television and my parter has brought a Samsung sound bar. How can I connect together when the TV has no optical output? Thank you Denise.
Use an audio lead from the headphone output on the TV.
TV average but usable. I cannot get my sound bar to plug into and am forced to use my Foxtel box or plug my laptop in to get the sound to go through the sound bar! The 2 audio outs don't work and there is no optical audio output which is the biggest disappointment. What TV these days does not have that??? Frustrated!!!!
Hello Roo, I returned this terrible tv - under Australian Consumer Law ACL - if a product is not as described - has a serious fault -and functionality not as described -you have a legal right to a refund. Kogan made it very difficult to do so - but you need to be persistent.. I have now purchased a Panasonic and when the tv technician installed it - he said not to install new Kogan soundbar that I had purchased . Waste of money.. He has a lot of experience with Kogan TV's and just like myself appalled at the bad quality Contact your Office of Fair Trading/ACCC. Also if you purchased with a credit card your bank are able arrange a charge back.. My bank's resolution team assisted. Received money paid for television but Kogan did not refund warranty $210. Including soundbar I am now more than $300 out of pocket. Hope this helps.
Sorry, never used the sound on mine, my setup involves a surround sound system and amp, and the TV just displayed the picture.. when it worked that is ;)
I'm a little surprised the TV worked at all. I never got to go any further than attempting to change channels. My frustration levels peaked soon after unpacking. Got to the stage when I got the replacement that I wondered if I should even bother attaching the stand let alone a sound bar. I received at least three replacements that failed straight out of the box...
I'm trying not to laugh but it seems so incomprehensible that Kogan are even continuing to sell this TV given the obvious issues. If it was a car there would be a world wide recall of the product.
Hi! I live in Adelaide and there is no option to put GMT +10:30 in zimezone settings - this make the TV guide wrong. I can do +10 and +11 but no +10:30 (there are 30 min increments for as other options).
When will there be a firmware update to fix this annoying bug?
Hi Bean67, Thanks for your questions. Have you tried changing the time zone via the Smart TV settings menu, rather than the menu in DTV mode? If not, can you give that a shot? If that doesn't work for you, you'll be able to contact our Support team for assistance.
