blinds had visible marks and had to be reordered and replaced. Another blind didn’t even align properly with the one next to it. More delays. More waiting. And of course, everything had to be shipped from China, adding more time.

We were told by the sales rep – and we have the email proof – that one motor would be more than sufficient to operate the large living room blind. Surprise surprise: by February 2025, the motor had already failed.

We had to pay an $83.00 service fee, even though the product was still under warranty. After pushing to get someone out, a technician finally came on the 27th of March (weeks after the service was booked). His assessment? Not only did the blind require a second person to help remove it without damage, but there should have been two motors installed to begin with!

Despite endless calls and emails, we were just told they can’t come out to fix it until the 5th of May. That means our living room has had no natural light for over 3 months because the blinds are stuck in the closed position.

So to sum it up: incompetent advice, defective products, absurd delays, horrific customer service, and a warranty that’s basically meaningless.

Kresta has wasted our time, our money, and our patience. If you value any of those things, stay far, far away from this company.

Four months (and counting), left with dirty walls, one unusable blind and still awaiting installation of the remainder – I truly wish there was a zero star option. Kresta took an order for three roller blinds in FEBRUARY 2021. Paid in full and so far have attempted to install the blinds THREE TIMES and counting. one person to complete a two man job; despite the salesman assuring me at the time a quote was provided that a two man crew would be sent.

2. Installation attempt number 2: Kresta sent two men this time, but had manufactured the blinds incorrectly in China with the cords on the wrong side. The installers measured the window again, claimed they couldn't install the blinds as the wall was gyprock (no, the wall did not change material in the months since the quote). They didn’t have parts in their van (as everything is sent from China). Weeks went by and nobody from Kresta called to arrange installation appointment #3. I had to leave multiple messages, was met with incompetent call centre staff who then tried to insist the blinds had already been installed!

3. Installation attempt number 3: A two man crew and female "manager" turn up 4 hours early for the installation appointment. The installers claimed the blinds needed to be cut down AGAIN. They dirtied my walls, stuck two sets of brackets onto the window frame and disappeared again; promising to just "click the blinds in" next week. Well, one week has passed and I had to chase Kresta yet again. They advised they would not come back until at least JUNE 2021. The installers and "retail manager" have been belligerent, rude, unprofessional bullies. They are likely concealing the fact the blinds have been sent back to China (yet again) so they actually have no product to install for at least another three weeks (potential Kresta customers beware).

4. Kresta has refused to provide a refund, fix the damage done to my walls, and advised it's not "company policy" to give a refund - despite the blind that was supplied being unfit for purpose and unusable. This company has a total disregard for consumer law.

5. Kresta is refusing to install the remaining blinds any earlier than JUNE 2021. Escalated to two managers above that of the local installer, "[Name Removed]" has failed to respond to emails. The installation manager goaded me to go to Fair Trading NSW - shocking and disgraceful customer service.

One blind was eventually installed, however the cord is far too short to be reached (the pictures show the top of a door approximately 7' high - most people aren't giants and cannot reach those chains!). The blind is unusable. Kresta has refused a refund or rectification in breach of Australian Consumer Law.

Kresta manufactures their blinds in China - you will be left waiting for at least three weeks each time there is an issue, as I strongly suspect the blinds are sent back and forth to China each time. You will be waiting forever for a cheap product - or faulty one in my case - and other blinds that just never get installed.

Next steps: Claim about to be filed at NCAT for damages and order of specific performance. Complaint to the ACCC and Fair Trading NSW for misleading and deceptive conduct. Save yourself the trouble and don't buy from Kresta.

If you actually want blinds, support an honest, reliable Australian company that manufactures here and actually supplies your blinds in two weeks.

If you’ve made the mistake of choosing Kresta and need a resolution, apply to the consumer division of NCAT. Claims of up to $40,000 can be heard and it’s an easy, affordable way for consumers to get justice (~$52 application fee, if your claim is successful you can also get this application fee back from Kresta as part of the orders). No lawyer required.

Doesn’t even deserve 1 star – My son asked me ‘Why did we choose this company? We shouldn’t have’. I agree with him. Delay with our original installation because of inaccurate measurements. Worst Company I have dealt with IN MY LIFE! – We ordered electric roller blinds for our apartment in January 2022. After the first attempt to install them in April was a disaster due to wrong measurements, they took them away to resize them. They returned the next week with the same blinds, same sizes and had to take them away again. Six visits and 6 long months later they finally managed… Read more

to install them. This was after numerous calls to chase up installers, arguments over electric roller numbers and frustration with not being understood on the phone. I have never dealt with a worst company in my entire 60 years and would recommend people pay a little extra and avoid this company!!

but were clearing a backlog. I questioned what back there could possible be if my installation was booked for the last day before lockdown. I called 9th October and asked for an update. The lady said they'd call me urgently, later that day. Two days later they called.

The woman said they could come a week later on a Tuesday. I said I worked Tuesdays and asked for a Friday. She said if I rejected the date I may have to wait another month. I accepted the Tuesday and said I needed an exact time because I could wait all day to be cancelled on. She said she couldn't provide one. She then asked me to pay the balance. I refused saying I wouldn't pay until the job was done. She said no money no job. So here I am, five months later, as predicted, no money no job.

I had a text on Tuesday saying they couldn't find a park and so had left.

My parents had been sitting waiting all day so I made my dad call them up and turn them round.

When they got inside the apartment they were shocked to see my six metre high windows. Of course they didn't have a ladder. This despite the sales man taking half a dozen photos and noting the situation of the windows during the measure and quite. So they did two blinds and left.

The main blind doesn't work. So it's stuck open. Everyone can now see into my house. The other blind is in a box on the floor. I haven't heard anything since. Despite sending an email asking for the situation to be rectified or for a refund to be processed.

The remote came without a battery which seems like a small thing but it's not a common battery to find and I wouldn't have thought, for three dollars, They probably could have chucked one in.

There are no instructions and so I've been forced to search online for tutorials for similar hardware.

I'm still waiting to hear from Kresta.

I note on their website you can get a refund if it's within ten days of installation. Wouldn't be surprised if they email back after the weekend, when that window has closed.

Thinking of going into a showroom to talk to someone but doubt they'll be interested in helping.

UPDATE 13 days after the above, someone called me this morning asking if I had set up scaffolding (?!) so they could install the final blind? I asked what scaffolding and said they told me they'd come back with a ladder. She said it was too high for a ladder. I said why is the first I'm hearing this - during the six month period that I've been talking to Kresta. I said I wanted to know about a refund because my experience has been disastrous.

She said she'd need to talk to a manager. She called back fifteen minutes later saying she could refund me for the one blind, sitting on the floor in a box. I said what about the blind that doesn't work. She said what does the electrician say. I said it's not about the power, it's about the blind. I said I wanted a full refund. She said she'd email her boss and they'd get back to me in a couple of days.

I have emailed, called and text every week for the last six weeks only to be told management would get in touch but clearly there is no respect for customers. I have fully paid for a product and had no ability to get any information or compensation for the inability to deliver on a contractual agreement. I have had to raise the issue with NSW fair trade and the ACCC in an effort to get a response from a company that will happily take customers money but fail to deliver (or even pick up the phone) to their customers. Save yourself the stress and pick any other company!!

Don’t order these blinds they are all from China! – Ordered blinds in May and now in August still haven’t arrived. They don’t tell you their products all come from China. They say 5 weeks arrival but they lie and know it will take months and blame shipping delays at the ports. Cheap rubbish products. Get your blinds from an Australian manufacture company. Excellent experience with fantastic end products – I truly believe Kresta has exceeded my expectations. From booking the free quote and measurement that was easy , the sales consultant was really punctual. The installation was carried out within 6 weeks mark as promised. We are really happy with our curtains. We have compared a few companies with the similar products. The price from Kresta comes the best so does the quality of the fabric we chose. I highly recommend Kresta’s curtains!

arrived and someone from installation would call to arrange a date. No response again for a date, once I finally spoke with Kresta again (after several calls) they wanted to know when I would pay the remaining monies, when I hadnt even received the invoice. Installation was booked, they didnt turn up - (again no notice) FINALLY received the invoice on the 8/1/2021. Installation was completed on the 22/1/21 - 17 weeks after order! - not good enough! Lucky for me I didnt go ahead with purchasing curtains for the whole house. Also, at the time of ordering I thought Kresta was an Australian owned and locally manufactured company - upon further research this is not so.
