Kubota Lawn & Garden Tractor Questions & Answers
Is the GR 2020 discontinued?
As far as I know, the GR series is still advertized on the Kubota web site. But I can't tell you more. Have a good day !
GR2020 was the petrol powered version and is no longer produced. The diesel version is still available
Has anyone ever had issues with the gr2120 shredding the blade belts
I h've had the Kubota GR2120 for ten years, non-commercial use only, 300 hours on it. No problem with the blade belt so far. You may want to check out the tensionner alignment, or the pulley's bearings. Or you may have inadvertantly caught some debris.
is there a "neutral" on the 2120 Hydro-static transmission? It's sitting in a small shed and won't start. Need to be pushed out so we can put it on a trailer for service. Thanks
Go to the rear end of your tractor. Put yourself to the ground on all fours, and look at the transmission between the two rear wheels. On the LEFT you will see the transmission return oil pipe with its 90° elbow. In the recess inside this elbow, you will see a small pin protruding down about 1/4 of an inch. If you push this small pin up, it will disengage the transmission and enable you to tow the tractor over a small distance. A small object can be inserted below the pin to hold it depressed while you tow or move the tractor by hand. The mechanic told me the tractor should NOT be towed this way over a long distance.
A hill I went up and down since 2010 my kabota tractor gr 2110 right front and rear front spin. Any suggestions what is wrong.
Hi, does anyone know the OEM number for Kubota GR2120 mower deck (48'') replacement blades? Many thanks in advance!
I'm sorry, I don't know the answer. Kubota customer service probably should.
Can I buy a gr2120 with a snow blower and without a mower deck?
how much weight will a 2120 pull thinking lawn rolling 400 pounds?
What make and weight motor oil is recommended for Kubota lawn tractors?
For the Kubota GR2020, the owner manual says 10W30 for warm climate and 5W20 or 5W30 for cold climate. For your information it may happen that the mower gearbox oozes the recommended thin transmission fluid. Mine did. The dealership had me replace it with Kubotal gearoil. Just in case you want to know... Robert
Thanks so much for sharing!
Is there an adjustment to make gr2120 go a little faster in reverse?
Yes. If you look at the base of the pedal controling forward and backward movement, you will see a small bolt held by two nuts that limits the backward travel of the pedal. You can modify the setting of that bolt, so the pedal will have a slightly longer travel backward, thus making for more reverse speed.
I would like to have the assembly instructions for Models GR22110 please
The assembly instructions manual for the GR2110 is probably available online. Unfortunately, I do not have it, since my own lawn tractor is a GR2120. Greetings. Robert.
Has anybody broken the bonett on the 2120 gr?
Not yet...
Robert from Canada.
No, how did you break that?
How to change glide-steer cable on Kubota GR2100?
Mine is a GR2120 and has metal rods instead of cables to activate the glide steer system. So, I have no clue, sorry.
Robert
I have miles of very steep and dangerous country.I want the safest ride on,4 by 4,heavy duty, at least 20 HP... can you help please?
Depends on how steep and dangerous. You can see from above what we use ours for, its a 230+hr 8+ year old GR2110, and it handles mowing around 3 acres of hilly terrain in approx 1.5 hours. More importantly, it does it safely, though we do have quite a bit of terracing. So the Kubota can just dive down the steeper hills then turn onto a relatively flat track then go around again, handles around 25-30 degrees angles without a problem side to side, some fill the tyres with water to get a bit more incline.. Its really dependent on how rough your property is, ours was so rough I had to brushcut the whole lot, then remove the numerous hazards and make access points for the Kubota. BTW - being Diesel, its more than just HP, it has quite a bit of torque.
mower blades keeps stopping without loosing RPM new blades new belt and fluid level good. what do I do next?
1 - Remove the mower and turn the shaft by hand to check if the gears inside the gearbox are steady and the blades turn even if you apply some resistance to them. If ok, then, 2- Check the mower cluth lever assembly to verify if it actuates the clutch as it should when pushed forward. If ok, then
3- Contact your dealership: the mower clutch inside the transmission is probably defective.
By reading your post on reliability, I notice that your machine has presented problems before. too bad ! Even reputable brands produce a lemon once in a while: a few years ago, I purchased a recent, good looking, low mileage Toyota Tacoma and it exhibited one major mechanical failure after another, hopefully still covered by warranty. Given the reputation of the manufacturer, I traded it in for a brand new one with no issue so far. Sorry to read about your problems with this tractor. Bob.
Has anybody who owns one of these had any reliability issues?
Thanks
Mine is a 2110 and has well over 200 hours on it now, it has not had any reliability issues at all. It has been serviced by the book, so far no problems. Ours is pretty well looked after, we avoid loading it up too much with towing or mowing up hills etc, which is always going to be good for any machine.
I own a GR2120 since 2013 and it has 130 hours on it. No reliability issue whatsoever. Easy to service, manucures the lawn and comfortable to operate.
I have a 2008 GR2110 first few years it was great now I'm afraid to touch it cause something else might break. It's one thing after another I personally I would never buy anything with Kubota on it
