I bought a recliner on line from Midland. The staff were helpful over the phone. However the recliner is manual with the handle so stiff I’m not able to use the recliner. I enquired if there was a way of loosening it but was told no. With no follow up. I recommend that you view before buying. Show details

I just now picked up my Pheonix 2-piece with power recliner. Looks great, anticipate many years of good service. Unfortunately, someone in their wisdom approved a power cable not long enough to reach the input from the far end, by about 30cm. This may have saved 5 cents. time to get into my home. Two weeks after I placed the order, it was in my home. The delivery staff were so helpful too, as they moved my old couch outside into the laundry area before they could assemble my new Monroe in my lounge room.
I found La-Z-Boy to be highly professional in all areas. I received expert, friendly and helpful advice from Kinjal in the Bundall showroom, also the men who made the delivery kept me well informed. of money for this, and because we live in the country, our seats will be away for at least two weeks at the factory, not including whichever days are their delivery days to our area. So when it leaves, we will be sitting on kitchen chairs for the duration. We are not impressed with the lack of quality control at the factory.
Follow-up · Following my complaint, and realising what a disruption a repair would cause, La-Z-boy decided to completely replace our recliner. They have done so and I could not be happier with their response. A fault in our original was recognised and we did not have to fight for an outcome.

issue with the appearance of the leather in the new United recliners so we contacted LazBoy store in the Gold Coast where we bought them. We spoke to Martha Rosenwarne who is the store manager. She is excellent. LazBoy head office agreed & approved the replacement of the affected recliners. We love the LazBoy chairs as they are very comfortable, strong, & will last a very long time. Importantly we are very impressed with the company LazBoy as they not only have fantastic products, they also have excellent staff & we are very impressed with how they stand by their products. At all times LazBoy were very professional & impressed us with how honest & credible they are. We thoroughly recommend the recliners we have bought over the years & highly recommend LazBoy as a very honest business.

months. It took five months to arrive! Stroke one: excessive delivery delays.
As I lived (at the time) 52 steps down to my house from the street, by the time the delivery personnel arrived, I feared the older delivery man was having a heart attack; he looked that exhausted! The reason: He and a young woman were the only delivery crew to carry a chair that weighs an undisclosed, monstrous weight, when delivery instructions stated that more than two persons (men) were needed to carry the chair, let alone down 52 steps! That was the second stroke against my acquisition: a monstrous weight!
Next, when they set it up for usage, I realised that it required to be plugged into a power outlet, which needed to be in its vicinity, or else it required a cumbersome extension lead, a potential tripping hazard. Third stroke: a connection to a power point was required to make it work, which seemed archaic. I had expected to be operated with a remote control gadget instead.
Fourth stroke: the price. Though the chair looks attractive, the price now seems robbery to me, even with a sale discount.
Since moving to a new location, the chair could not be set up near a power outlet, and an extension lead was impractical. The chair sat there, unable to access its features. By coincidence, someone mentioned that a furniture battery could replace the need for a power outlet. More expenses were needed to make it operational! So, off I went to purchase such a battery and returned with several hundred dollars less in my pocket!
Fifth stroke: additional purchases required to make it operational.
Sixth stroke: It is not designed with ergonomics in mind. As a trained rehabilitation counsellor, I can tell that the seat angle is not based on ergonomics. Instead of the back part being raised above my knees when seated, it tends to sag backward, often leaving me with a moment of acute back pain when getting up from my chair.
Overall, I regret my purchase and do not recommend it to other potential buyers.

2 Recliner Chairs. We were assisted by Nikki Chesterfield. It was late in the afternoon and near closing time but Nikki showed us what was available and we said we would return the next day as she would be there. We did and with Nikki assistance we ordered 2 suitable Recliner Chairs. We also ordered a 3 Seater Sofa Bed and purchased another Recliner Chair that was on sale in the store. As we were moving to Brisbane, Nikki arranged for our furniture to be delivered to our new address when it is ready for delivery. We are an older couple and Nikki was so patient, helpful and polite that the decision making and purchasing of the furniture wasn't a problem at all. We look forward to the delivery of furniture. Delivery is a joke, after waiting 12 weeks for product to arrive, now have to wait another 2 weeks before it can be delivered with the only option being a Tuesday with no time window.
