A Perfect Online Experience – After I placed my order online to laptop.com.au I found their product reviews and thought that I'd been dudded but actually I couldn't be happier. I live in the NSW Riverina, yet the laptop arrived via Australia Post in only 6 days from placing the order. It was only a $300 HP Pavillion but it is in excellent condition and works perfectly. had an issue with where to send the laptop as my daughter was staying in a hostel and Jerry arranged to meet her at an office building and personally handed the laptop over to her so I was very relieved! She had a technical issue for some software she needed and Jerry also helped her to sort this out . The MacBook worked perfectly ( and is still working well ,10 months later ) and she got the job! Pls beware as they will ship something else and not what you ordered – I ordered a ASUS republic of games (ROG)gaming laptop with 128GB SSD and additional 1TB HDD. They sent me a different ASUS laptop and not a ROG laptop and the hard drive capacity is only 480GB. A total SCAM. The ASUS ROG laptops are Black in Color with the logo on the top cover and I was sent a Silver color laptop.

I had several email correspondences with [name removed], who at one stage told me. "Not to make an opera of it" after l informed him l'd be taking this up with various govt depts.

He ended up offering half of the money back if l kept the laptop, which only about that time had l read these reviews & opted to accept his offer, having seen l'd be one of the few if any, who actually received anything viable back.

I on-sold the laptop for 1/4 of the price l'd paid for it. Which left me 1/4 out of pocket, which l guess having dealt with [name removed] & Laptop.com.au left me better off than most!

l was upfront about the condition of it & the model's specs & priced it accordingly when re-selling it, so that buyer actually did well, & despite my dilemma was glad for him.

I imagine any person leaving a favourable review for laptop. com.au could only be people close or staff associated with [name removed] & his deceit.

For the purpose of justification, l have screenshots of the originally advertised product & order, the purchase invoice, all initial & subsequent emails & several images.

It disappoints me to wonder how our so-called consumer protection agencies can allow a business like laptop.com.au to remain in business & keep taking advantage of unsuspecting customers.

I think too, it's important that review's like this one, stay at the forefront in terms of visibility, to help ensure that shifty operator's like laptop.com.au do end up fading away!

My old one was a core 2 or something like that and the new one was an i5 16 gig of ram and a 1 terabyte ssd. It seems to be lightening fast. The power supply ,although it looked fairly new ,did not work so I notified the store and they sent me a new one. So I updated to Catalina OS and so far it is faultless. A new version from Mac was about 3K so for $950 it does all I need. I hope you have the same experience.

Consequently after not receiving a refund from the company and no contact was able to be made we took this matter to the courts, where they were also unable to contact the company. On the day of the hearing the judge ruled that this company was in the wrong and ordered the to pay the refund, however the company did not show up to the hearing and didn't not respond to the ruling nor pay us the refund. Overall this company does not provide acceptable products or service, and would strongly advise to not use this company!!!

Regretful Purchase – I brought a used Lenovo for $499.00. What a piece of junk. I'm sure it was a good Laptop when it was new but if this thing is in very average condition. Should be put out of business – I wish I'd read the reviews before I bought from them. I got an audio specialist laptop that had the loudest hard drive I'd ever heard and would heat up to melting point. I sent it back and picked out another one for around the same price. Faulty goods and will not refund – Purchased a laptop which had issues right from the start. It has been returned for “service” twice but still has the same problem. Repeated requests for a refund have been ignored and now they are not answering emails. I would not recommend this company at all.

My audio is not working now...in that it all of a sudden goes off...but not wasting my time even emailing them because I know they guys are sickening to the core....and not worth me getting angry with them... just take it as a lesson to be learned- This company is not your usual Australian Company that looks after its customers and pays respect to consumer rights. The fact that they don't put down their contact number should raise a red flag.

I just writing this review with the hope that I can save others from any pain and agony of buying a laptop that doesn't work properly!

Not happy – Bought a laptop over a month ago from day 2 it stopped working slow performance and could not switch off. Now they advised to open the laptop and reseat the cable. We are unexperiened and we should not have to do this activty as we are probably not covered by the warranty. They refuse to give us the refund. point the battery wasn't even recognised buy the laptop. The bottom/back cover is not screwed on, so it falls off all the time, even when simply repositioning the laptop on the desk. The cooling fins are missing their cover, and the fins have something stuck in them. Looks like food. The HDMI port has the same "food" looking substance in it, so I'm very reluctant to use the port. I wish I had read these reviews before making my purchase. I would have gone elsewhere. I don't know how these people can live with themselves. BUYER BEWARE

wasn’t water damage caused since purchasing. I took the company to a Vcat hearing and orders were made for the company to refund the purchase price to me immediately. The company have held the computer since April 2020 and now, in June 2021 have also failed to comply with the order to refund my money. The company are very dishonest - during the tribunal the director said under oath he supplied a ‘refurbished iPad’ as they specialise in reburbished goods. It was a laptop not iPad and meant to be brand new as stated on my receipt. I would not trust this company at all. They do not supply what is advertised and do not honour their warrantee.

It could be a a shoe, an old book or a broken cup, it could be anything from these guys but it definitely wont be a decent computer! they asked me to select another one from their site as a replacement as they would not refund the money, but I had to pay an extra $150 due to the spec being a little better.

This one then took 2weeks to arrive: see their email to us below.... ‘ Our team have just dispatched it to you this afternoon. Thanks for being patient with us while we prepped it for delivery. You should have a link to the tracking in your email’

That one arrived with a 128 gb HD not the 500 GB I ordered that’s was clearly listed on their site. It also had the completely wrong charger that did not fit the computer at all. The battery was also no good. No way had this computer been even looked at prior to sending to us.

They again apologised and said they would fix it but not refund my money as they didn’t need to as they were working within the law on not refunding, but they were well within their rights to repair or replace ONLY.

January 2021: The repaired computer arrived without the battery being replaced. After writing to them about this, one day after delivery, this was their response:

‘We provide a working battery but cannot guarantee a specific battery life on them as the life depends on age, battery settings and usage’

4 months of this back and forth games and endless emails and excuses. There is something very seriously wrong with this company and it’s Operations.

But their internal guy Jesse Bona seemed to try and do the right thing, but obviously didn’t have the decision making power to refund even though he apologised many times for the very, very bad service. We estimate that there are over 50 emails between us and www.laptop.com.au and over 20hrs of man hrs trying to sort this out.

To prevent others going through what we have We will be building a true and honest review website page about www. Laptop.com.au highlighting these failures from www. Laptop.com.au. They should be doing the right thing when people pay a lot of money for really, really bad products.

accusing me of pulling out the "N". Saying: " They do not warrant keys that have been pulled out. The keys cannot fall out it is impossible". the other issues were not even acknowledged. If you do not want a similar experience do not buy from them.
