to explain the pricing basis for this product (reference rate + margin) so customers can see how decisions flow through. At the moment, competitors appear to be offering lower rates while mine remains unchanged.
I will update this review if Latitude provides a timely, transparent response and a fair adjustment. In the meantime, I suggest others check statements closely and request written clarification on how rate changes are applied.
Not even worth 1-Star. Have no idea why David Jones would change their Store Cards from AMEX to this 2-bit company. When applying for a Home Loan recently my broker discovered these crooks at Latitude had accidentally placed a 'T' on my Credit Rating meaning I had applied for Financial Hardship which I have never ever had nor applied for. been able to view my loan in their online portal, when I log in it just says "no loan account exists for this account" i haven't even so much as received a statement to let me know where my account is up to. Their customer service is a joke, on numerous occasions i have contacted them with this issue only to be told to reset my password (which doesn't fix the issue let alone have anything to do with it because i can log on just fine, theres just no account visible.) My case was escalated to IT 2 months ago and i have heard nothing from them. My intrest rate is also a joke! 12.39% on a secured loan! I contacted them again a week ago asking for the issue to be fixed and my interest rate to be revised as well as a payout quote so that I could 1 see my balance and 2 refinance elsewhere if the first two things remained unadressed. So far all ive gotten is a payout quote (which was only 2k less than my starting balance with me paying nearly 1.5k a month mind you which makes me even more furious that I don't have a way to check things) and a survey and yet another password reset, the other two things were completely ignored. As such I've started enquiries with other lenders for refinancing and have gotten quotes ranging from 7.35% to 10.42%, i will be leaving this company as soon as I can. They are an Absolute joke, a disgraceful company. STAY AWAY FROM LATITUDE!!!!
Update: latitude fixed my login issue but I had to create a new email address in the process as they couldn't reuse my email for some reason.
Upon enquiring about my interest rate and me requesting for it to be lower with respect to the lack of service and my poor experience quoting the rates given by other lenders, latitude decided it would be appropriate to further RAISE MY OTHERWISE FIXED INTREST RATE!?!?!
I will now be taking my business elsewhere. These people are a RIP-OFF and a JOKE!

Update 2: refinanced with another lender (a bank) and got an interest rate of 6.9% rather than latitudes 12.39% saving me over $400 per month in repayments along with an app that actually works and night and day better service. The only issues I had during the process was any time I needed to get anything from Latitude. I needed to get a statement and a payout letter, this took a week, three email chains and several phone calls to latitude to sort out, and they still got it wrong, eventually issuing me a payout letter showing a value that was about $8000 less than what I actually owed. A further phone call to them resulted in a payout letter showing a value that was about $150 more than what I owed, so I paid that one and waited for them to refund the difference, which they eventually did 2 weeks later.
Safe to say I will never go to latitude finance again.
Useless, taking money out my account without authorisation – I set up a BPAY of $300/fn, Latitude decided that it would be a good idea to take an extra $300 on the same day. I’ve spoken with numerous people, all said I would get a refund!! In the process of reporting to the Ombudsman for illegal transactions, have left us extremely short for Xmas. Worst customer service and loan application process ever. Applied on wednesday 9th july. Uploaded all the the required docs then told 3 business days will have a result. during the application a week earlier. Anyway, i uploaded them again! Told i would finally have a result that afternoon, mind you its now been a week since the initial application. Friday 18th july, now days 9 since the application, I ring up the personal loans team and ask for an update, they state yes its in final processing- please wait another 2 business days. Jesus! Horrible horrible horrible systems, horrible customer service from guptas (Indians) from some third world country that can barely speak any English. They are so rude and abrupt and couldnt give 2 fks. Now Tuesdays the 22nd july, final get an phone call from an indian claiming to be a supervisor from lattitude. He askes me a million questions about the loan and what its being used for, information that they already know as its for debt consolidation. Asks about my finances again. Now keep in mind im on a good wage- $4000 net a fortnight, been in the same employment for 6 years, same living situation etc. Good credit score of 700, no defaults on credit file, i have a subscription to equifax which i check religiously, so no issues. Old mate gupta on the phone tells me all good it should be right and he ll call me back in 2 hours......2 hours later i dont get a phone call from latitude, i get an email stating im declined- just a generic response.
Absolutely disgusting waste of my time, no actual reason i would of got knocked back, ive never been declined credit facilities ever.

I submitted a further enquiry to see the outcome, which then said successful with interest rate of 18.99%. I was furious and had no way to retract my application and now my credit score dropped to 650. I will look in to reporting this and will be cancelling current account. Don't use

latitude advised in my recent transaction that it’s been received and remaining balance is $0. Customer service department is based in India and if it’s an account closure issue they refuse to speak to you and become quite passive aggressive when asked why. It’s actually quite terrifying that this company is able to provide services in Australia and that big retail brands are so proactively advertising them. Please avoid, they will do nothing but damage you in the long run. Very easy to apply, unnecessarily difficult to leave them.
Completely ignored by company – Absolutely worst company I have ever TRIED to deal with. They just ignore you. that my account was still not $0 because my payment needed to "Settle" and would be settled by Tuesday 10th - and that my bank was causing the delay.
This is crap.
UpBank never takes 7 business days to settle a transaction. Latitude is deliberately delaying to harvest more card fees off you.
Complains have to be resolved in 30 days (as required by ASIC). For a superannuation fund, fine, you're not being charged huge fees. But for a credit card company - for a simple request - this is an example of a company exploiting the regulators' failure to clamp down on financial products hawked by predatory lenders (which I'm sure they lobbied heavily for).
STAY AWAY – Absolutely shocking! Stay away from them, there are far better finance companies out there that provide a far better service and are not based offshore!!!!!

same as the previous car . Went through all the rego issues and fees and got it into my name forwarded the rego papers no problem loan moves into place . We did this so we could by a caravan which the dealer financed through Latitude and in my wife's name only . so over the last four days and 5 phone calls and 2 hang ups on there end and 1 on mine i have been told i have no account with them and they are in a different name that of my wife they cannot explain how or why they cant even pull up the secured vehicles to confirm they are in my name and will only talk to my wife i think they have security issues with there data system eg the email set up from 2021 and still our email since then is not the email used or registered along with everything being off shore, and trying to deal with their incompetence and language barrier

Pathetic and degraded customer service – Their customer service is pathetic and you have to literally wait for many hours to talk to customer support person and your line is also put on hold by that person and then can also be disconnected by them. They said they could see that I have good repayment history and currently in advance. However, that still not good enough and can’t give me a top up. The staff ask me for feedback I said ‘very poor service’. I apply with another company and got approval in 5 minutes. Will close my account and not recommend to anyone. My mistake for choosing them in the first place. Luckily I only owed $900 can payout anytime.

almost 20 years, been a loyal customer. Waste of time. Went with another bank, instantly approved and received the funds in less than an hour. All they need is a bank statement showing my salary.
Absolutely terrible all round – Terrible service. I didn't even get to submit my application properly before they started hounding me with phone calls and emails. And as soon as I said actually no thank you, I'm not going to apply for one, they linked it to my credit score and ruined it for me. Customer service is also terrible. put me through to the account manager. The same loop is going on till now. It’s been 6 days and still they failed to update my bsb number and there fore haven’t received my loan amount. On top of that got email that my loan has been disbursed and reminder to set up auto debit so that I don’t miss my first repayment.

first woman I spoke to from a foreign call centre was angry with me for questioning about the payments. I pointed out that the contract was for monthly repayment but she refused to acknowledge that. The second week it happened again so I rang back and spoke to someone else. His English wasn’t very clear but I told him if it wasn’t changed to monthly payments I’d take them to court for breach of contract. The payments changed to monthly but none of the statements I received afterwards showed the first two weekly payments. With the variable rate they increased the payment four times over the following twelve months. In the end I was paying more than when I arranged the loan. It was always difficult getting statements from them and many times trying to access my details on their customer portal I’d have to change passwords because it wouldn’t recognise the current one. Sometimes the link to change password wouldn’t be sent. The amounts in the statement didn’t match my bank statements many times. Sometimes the monthly payment would show up on their statement as two separate monthly payments that didn’t add up to the same amount that was taken. Trying to discuss it with call centre staff only caused confusion. Couldn’t get away from them quickly enough.
