wait for 5 weeks already
For a prescription glasses, told me to wait about 2-3weeks, and now already 5 weeks... Still no any reponse from them when I can collect it. I already purchased from them 3 or 4 pairs of glasses, should wait one weeks before. But now 5 weeks! Seriously?! I almost forget about I have a prescription glasses... And no one could tell me how long still I need to wait!!!!! So disappointed, Never come back again...
Disappointing follow up - actually nonexistent follow-up (Capalaba)
Susie was very friendly and made purchasing 3 pairs of glasses an enjoyable experience. However, when I collected the glasses I told the staff that my vision wasn’t good whilst wearing the new glasses. They told me to try wearing them and I should get used to them. I didn’t. They ignored my email but I went in anyway. They adjusted the fit and they told me to try again and that they’d contact me to see how I was going. They didn’t. The whole point of glasses is to improve or fix vision problems. No point in an aesthetically pleasing frame with lenses that don’t do the job. I expect good customer service at all times but perhaps more so when I’ve spent $1500! How hard is a follow up phone call?

Poor quality Chinese made frames
Ordered and paid for two pairs of glasses. Because I live an hour from the optometrist, I was told glasses would be delivered by TOLL. Found small box at door last week end, it had come from China. On opening, there was one pair of glasses, fitted with lenses and two loose lenses. On making the one hour trip to the shop, they found my second pair were waiting in the drawer at the shop but no one had contacted me about them. The explanation given by the office lady is that the glasses are made in China, usually sent to their L&P office and ...then discharged to the customer from there. The frames of the glasses from China, although ‘Ralph Lauren’ are cheap, flimsy, plastic frames. Probably $5 worth. So why are we being charged high prices for frames when they are cheap Chinese crap. Very disappointed that this is the procedure of a well established Optometry Company.
I've been ripped off
I've been ripped off my glasses weren't fitting properly looking at glasses they were already bent which I believe is manufactured problem being charged to pay for new pair when they are only 1 week old I want my money back they broken them that I can't see properly
They always run late and make no apology or it.
They have left me sitting over 20 minutes past my appointment time and do not seem to care. I rang and spoke to the manager and she was rude to the point of just dismissing my complaint by saying I could wait!
I’m paying for quality but I’m not getting quality.
My glasses have to meet Australian safety standards due to my work environment so they are a bit more expensive than a standard pair of glasses. I don’t mind paying for a quality product but the glasses are not quality.
“Soo is a life saver. On a recent holiday in Brisbane, I thought my contact was stuck/lost within my eye. I visited a couple of optometrists, but no one had the time to see me. Soo was happy to squeeze me in between appointments. Turns out, there was no contact in my eye and she even gave me a trial lens so I could see properly again until I got back from my holidays
Worst customer service, unprofessional customer service
Visited a month a go for eye test at Indooroopilly shopping center branch. Was told that I need a new prescription lenses. I was offered to do another test and then order the frame and new lenses. After paying deposit and making appointment for different test two days later had a massage that lenses are ready to pick up. I visited the center hoping to have some clarification . Staff member told me that she will talk to manager and will ask her to contact me which never happened. After a week visit the center to follow up. I was told the lense...s are ready and I can try them on. I found uncomfortable trying the new lenses and I had to go under second eyes test. This time the optometrist told me that result is different with what I had for first time and they will send them back to be changed. After two weeks again approached to them seeking information about my new lenses . In my visit they told me they send me a massage,I responded that I didn't receive any kind. For second time I was offered to try the lenses. This time wrong frame and someone else prescription was offered. I reminded them that this is not the frame or correct lenses. At this stage the store manager asked for my name and they started to search and found my order. In attempt to try them on again I felt uncomfortable, I was told just because they are new it will take time to my eyes to get adjusted. After a week wearing them end it up with headache felt sick. I contacted them and made appointment. On the day I visited the store staff member told me that optometrist went home sick. I raised my concern regarding their service and she asked me to return the glasses and she mentioned that they are digital and will send them back to exchange to classic one. This will take 4 weeks time. I visited a few other optometrist and eyes were checked . I was told the lenses were given to me were incorrect and does not match with prescription they provided to me. I had to go back and ask for my money back , including my health fund. Still awaiting.
Worst customer service experience WESTFIELD CAROUSEL
It was my 1st time to try Laubman & Pank Westfield Carousel. The store looks amazing and the staff looks professional. Unfortunately not TRUE. I had my eyes checked and told them I am getting the lenses from them but will use my existing frame. The staff said no problem paid them and was told to wait 7-10 working days. I gave them a call after 3 weeks- to my dismay, the staff told me that the glasses are not delivered yet, wait for another week (making my wait time 1 month). I did not complain. When I went to the store to pick them up, I ...was told the glasses were not there yet- that's when I got upset. I am a very patient person but this is TOO MUCH! I asked for a refund and the store manager [name removed] told me that it is not POSSIBLE because the glasses are in transit. He however cannot commit an exact date! I insisted on my refund which he gave after a long heated discussion with my husband. I then told the staff [name removed] that I am going back to get my frame back. I went back yesterday after 1 month and 1 week of WAIT time, the manager [name removed] told me that HE THOUGHT I wouldn't need my frame back because I had a refund. What a PRESUMPTUOUS person! [name removed] the store manager did not offer any apology or any solution to the issue. All he can he can offer was for the customer to wait. IF YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY and ENERGY go to Laubman & Pank Westfield Carousel.
Excellent Customer service
I attended the Laubman & Pank store at Ingle Farm on the 23rd of October and was served by a gentleman who unfortunately am not sure of his name. I am writing this review to express how impressed I was with the outstanding service I received even though I had only gone in to ask if my glasses could be adjusted after knocking them out of shape a couple of days earlier. I had made him aware that I had not purchased the glasses at that store but this certainly did not effect the level of service received. My glasses were fixed perfectly, in fact b...etter than prior to knocking them and then he cleaned them beautifully. I was so impressed with the cleaning of the glasses that I purchased the product. He then took the time to explain to me how to really clean glasses properly. I have worn reading glasses for around 5 years now and no one has ever really explained the best way to clean glasses to attain such a sparking result. I walked out of the store a very happy customer and will not hesitate to return when due for my next pair of glasses.
Lenses are rubbish
On my second pair, had issues wth the first pair not darkening when in sunlight after six months, staff said nothing they can do even though this was an obvious fault I was told to buy another more expensive pair second pair better but after a while developed a bad hazy unfocused issue
I will not be going back EVER i paid top dollar and believe a got a rubbish product
Poor customer service. Slow delivery time
Still waiting for my glasses I ordered 3 weeks ago told they would be 7-10 days when I purchased them. Care factor of staff zilch! Not even an apology.
Very concerned what I will get if they ever turn up, after reading other reviews on here. Also very expensive!
I paid over $1300.00 dollars for a pair of driving glasses and a pair of bi-focals for reading and computer use. The driving glasses are just OK but the others are hopeless. They had four goes at them and I still can't use them for computer work. There is only a tiny area in the lens that is in focus so I have to move my head to read. During this process I was charged extra for one of the adjustments. They don't have a clue.
I got perfectly functioning bi-focals from a competitor for $350.00.
They treated me like their friend
I have been wearing spectacles for over 40 years.
Today I had the best time ever purchasing my new look spectacles. The wonderful team at Laubman & Pank Brookside, Mitchelton QLD store assisted me with my new look clear spectacles and some sexy sunnies. The frames were both were affordable luxury......one Prada and one Tiffany.
Their service was so professional, friendly, fun and great value for money.
This week they were offering 20% off for my first pair and 50% off my second pair!
So now I will look amazing while looking good.
I bought my prescription glasses with them , the quality for both lenses are very poor and I mean it. It is ridiculously poor to the point I almost threw It in a bin.
I've been back and forth to the Cannington shop tried to solve the issue with its employee (s) and and today they were trying to make me pay from my own pockets for their faults!!
Thanks laudman & park in carousel, I will never ever go back to you again..ever!! And I will let my friends know not to go to your place if they need glasses.
Faulty Product & poor customer service
Purchased the drive-wear lenses, supposed to be able to use in low light, have to take them off as they don't transition to yellow/green as advertised they stay dark red/brown, also purchased the office all rounder glasses for computer work, these were also faulty and managed to get them replaced, i advised them that the drive-wear glasses weren't transitioning as advertised when i took them in a couple of weeks later when i returned to Perth took them in as the lenses were falling out and was told that they were out of warranty which was only ...good for 60 days. This was not on the receipt that was email to me and i wasn't advised when i purchased them. When i contacted their customer service via the website i keep getting told the area manager will contact me to discuss, been going on for 3 weeks now. Laubman & Pank = faulty product, poor customer service and deceit.
First Time Experience - Awesome.
Age has finally made me have to get glasses. I booked in to L&P at Ipswich and from the moment I got there was treated like royalty. All the staff were happy and helpful and very professional. After my eye test both the optometrist and the assistant helped me choose the best glasses for my face shape. Within a week of the exam I got a call saying my new glasses were ready to collect, and they were exactly as I selected. Very happy with the final product and especially the great service from the Riverlink store team.
Very dis - appointed with the service several years ago.
My husband has several things that, require patience & experise ...when he gets his grad. Lenses glasses
Several, years we went to west lakes,as we had always done...to get eyes tested & his new glasses.....which aren't cheap!
After they were finished...tried them ...but were blurry. They made some adjustments..?. Did they?? But they were the same.
So he was told - - 70 yr old senior....that had faith in their fair dealings over years- that he'd need to persevere...to get used to them!!
Well- hello- things don't change...can't bend ,resha...
They make the customer pay for their mistakes.
Had my eyes checked and they advised that my eyes had changed since my last script and I needed new lens. Nothing out of the ordinary except that the optometrist had made and error and misread/mis written my script so when I got my glasses with the new lens, they where way out.
They re tested my eyes and discovered their error, one lens was identical and the other was one step different to my previous eye check, which my old lens where made to so I didn't need new lens.
I asked if they could re fit my old lens but they refused, saying that...they had thrown them out and that I would have to pay for new lens. I protested, informing them about the law regarding the ownership of the old lens and that they where legally obliged to replace them at their expense, which they still refused. They claim that I had no right to the old lens what so ever even if I where to purchase new lens from them, it was their policy to throw away customer old lens without the customers permission and to refuse to return old lens to customers on request. I should have filed a formal complaint against them with DOCEP (consumer affairs in W.A.), but I couldn't at the time so I paid for the lens and will never go back to Laubman & Pank/OPSM ever again. Be warned that Laubman & Pank and OPSM are the same company.
