Laurastar Lift 501 (Red)

I had a Laurastar for about 15 years and when it wore out. When I brought my next iron I went with another brand for the last 2 years and I hated it. I have just got a new lift the best thing I done. Laurastar... You've done it again! – Following the recent purchase of a new Laurastar Lift, which I've only had for a few weeks, it meets all my expectations of a new model introduced by the company. I'm pleased to report that the Lift irons great on all fabrics. One question.... When the tank begins to reduce water, it makes a sound that seems that it could be a fault, but the manual explains that this is normal. Could you confirm please? Show details ·  1

Best iron I have ever used – Light and easy to use and is a very compact appliance which makes it easy to store. Very easy to top up the water when required. Ironing is effortless because you don’t have to keep going over the same spot to remove creases. Very well thought and designed product. Show details ·  1

Excellent - well worth the price – We bought the lift after our 12 year old S4 died. The power from the lift is as good if not better than the S4. In addition to normal clothes, I use it to iron cancan karate uniforms. It irons these with ease. It is compact and easy to move around. My only criticism is the design of the lid on the water tank is poor. I recommend buying a Lift. Show details ·  1

iron all types of garment without damaging the material. There is a Teflon "shoe" for delicate items, and the way that I used to iron changed, but much so for the better. I vertically steamed my partners woollen work jacket, and straightened some wrinkles on the bed sheets. The double heating system is at the heart of the Laurastar station, explaining the higher price for the technology. The station takes a filter cartridge to extend the life of the sole plate, and keeps the iron clean. I purchased the Comfort board bundle, to sit the iron at the same height as the board. There is much more to say, but that is best left to your visit to the showroom.

Not just the iron but the service is amazing – No matter where you look Laurastar is the best. I can pack clothes fly across the World and take them out and wear them with no creases .. once you Laurastar you never go back .. amazing and trustworthy and their customer service is fantastic !!! New model is a dream – After my old lift had met with an early demise (after 5 years) due to a run in with the dog (long story) I foolishly thought I might try and save some money by buying a "regular" steam station. expensive "regular" iron bought in its place. Yep you guessed it. Yet another mistake. The aforementioned Irons cost between $100 and $250 and either didn't iron or leaked water everywhere or both. And so after months of trial and error I took my old broken down Laura star back to the shop where I was offered either a reasonably priced repair or a very generous discount for my sorry trade in. So glad I took the trade in offer. I loved Ironing with Laura star before but this new one is an absolute dream. Needless to say. When this ones' time is up I won't be looking anywhere else for a new iron.

Fabulous! Why Wouldn't you have a Laurastar? – I have 4 men in the house. I wash daily & need an ironing unit that can make my life easier. Business shirts are a breeze, jeans quick and easy. I now have the confidence to LauraStar my more delicate items. My husband loves it :-). Show details ·  1

Great Iron, a pity about the ironing board! – The iron is what I have come to expect from LauraStar - perfect. Beats traditional irons hands down. Halves ironing time. On the other hand, the ironing board is a real lemon! It doesn't sit flat on the floor so constantly rocks. Takes all the ease out of ironing. Show details ·  3

It’s ok but a little bulky – It is quite good with everyday clothes. I can’t seem to get chinos pants don’t very smooth but that could be user error but I can do working pants fine. Really good on shirts and bedsheets. Would be better if not so bulky as finding room to fit it quite hard.  Show details
