What happened to Lavazza Quality Oro??? It used to be really quite good for the price. Great balance, fun fruity notes, etc. Now its lost all that and tasks like stale mediocre ground coffee. What changed?

Agreed! Used to be smooth and buttery. Loved the taste but noticed bitterness over the past few years. Something has changed. Lavazza team does not confirm or deny the complaint about the change in taste. I don’t drink Starbucks because it is bitter burnt coffee.

Good to know I'm not alone. I found this chat desperately trying to find an answer and confirmation because recently the taste of Quality Oro Lavazza coffee has drastically changed (and the effect). It's the end of 2023, EU. I have been using this coffee for about 8 years. It was a nice coffee. It's a pity, but I'll have to find another coffee.

It has become bitter burnt tasting/.. and less flavorful.

Dear Lavazza, i too have been buying and drinking Lavazza coffee for years. Just bought 1kg Oro beans last week and don't know what to say other than i can't drink it and want my money back. Coffee lacks body and flavour..... what's happened?

Very disapointed and won't buy again if this Lavazza's new std.... hmmm

Maybe how you make it. That makes a HUGE difference. I found it was just not right for espresso machines, but perfect as a pour over or drip machine. I use a drip machine.

The flavor has changed, without a doubt. Also the response from Lavazza has not confirmed or denied what loyal customers are writing about the coffee. I would expect them to respond confirming or denying the change.
