Lavilin Underarm Deodorant Cream - Women

Perhaps the best deodorant I’ve ever used – I tried the sample pack then bought the full tub. Like that it has a small plastic ‘applicator’ to remove it from the tub. One very small amount lasts for days, and doesn’t mark clothes. I have sensitive skin and haven’t experienced any irritation. I expect the tub to last for a very long time - yes it’s small but you only need a small amount and that amount lasts days. I give myself a sniff before bed to know if I need to apply it again after my morning shower! The true test will come in summer but I’m confident it won’t fail me.

Unfortunately, despite using the products exactly as described, I was still able to notice armpit odor. This was disappointing given the claims about effectively controlling odor by targeting odor-causing bacteria. While this product may work well for others, based on my experience, it did not deliver the results I was hoping for.

I have been using it for almost 5 years, winter and summer, and I love it. In summer on hot days I need to reapply after about 4 days, and that’s just to be safe as it’s rare for the stink to reappear. the environment as one tub lasts me a year! I wish it would work for everyone else so we could reduce harmful chemicals and wasteful packaging. Full disclosure: I don’t do heavy workouts, but I am menopausal and that includes those pesky hot flushes and night sweats, which remain stink-free thanks to this product. Give it a try! After 5 years, I’m never going back to regular deodorants.

Product is not the same – I have used lavalin underarm/ body cream for over 40 years and I loved it, however the last 2 times I purchased the product it has not worked. I am thinking that the ingredients have changed and it is not like it used to be. The box is different as well. Show details

skin, some stained my clothes..... then I found Lavilin. When I first saw the price I thought it was a bit expensive....but I'm still using it more than 15 months later, so in fact, it's incredibly cheap. My level of B.O. was bad enough that I was aware of it even while towelling myself dry after a shower. Now I've forgotten what that was like - I apply Lavilin every 5-7 days: I swim, I exercise, I shower, I LIVE my life in between those applications but NEVER have B.O. It's truly a miracle! Plus it's wonderful to be able to shower & get dressed most of the week WITHOUT having to apply deodorant. I can't emphasise enough how brilliant this product is.

However I have used almost 1/3 of the tube within 3 weeks so I dont think I will be purchasing this again due to price vs effectiveness.

I have also reached out to them last week, they replied: "We can certainly do a refund but might be worth doing some troubleshooting first to see if we can get it happening for you. In most cases where there is a longer settling in time is due to the long-term effects of a previous deo on the skin. Usually some recovery time and a stint of using the slightly stronger Foot deodorant cream does the trick. Just to gauge where your skin is coming from, what sort of deodorant were you previously using?"

to which I replied promptly, with deodorant info etc. However haven't heard from them again (been a full week). I've been using their product for 3 weeks and still having to reapply twice a day, so not sure either how long this "recovery time" should be.

In short, very disappointed this didnt work for me. I really wish it does. I'm just hoping the refund process is easy.

EDIT: Kara sent me a stronger strength product (foot cream) to try. She also suggested that I stay off any deo for a while before trying, to restore the microbiome balance. Will update this review once I've tried this. But thank you Kara for helping me to troubleshoot this, really appreciate it :)

I came across this one via a specially targeted FB ad (thanks Google) and purchased the free trial. The way it works is that you shower and clean your pits, let your pits dry, then apply the tiniest of portions of the creme to your pit and rub it in until it goes clear. When I say tiny, I mean around maybe a quarter of a pea amount. It's pretty much fragrance free and contains no harsh chemicals. And the most important thing? IT WORKS!

It's not an antiperspirant, so you will still sweat, but you will not stink!! If you're prone to BO, I highly recommend giving this a go. Best purchase I have made in years!!

showering for a week while away on a boat. I wore merino clothing so did not develop a smell and applied Lavilin daily. It must have allowed my skin to reach equilibrium because since then I have been odour free!

the info about ph levels etc and persevered for a week, and still no luck. I switched to the sport pot I had got for my daughter and tried another week to no avail. I noticed it definitely is not working as well for my daughter as the trial pack did either.

Gutted it hasn't worked for us especially as it is not the cheapest. I love the idea of it and can see it clearly works for others, just doesn't appear to be the right fit for us.

Ok but not as advertised – I am following the instructions, I don’t have strong body odour normally but I have had to reapply daily due to body odour occurring. I do live in a hot humid environment. and used it everyday for the first 2 weeks. Now I can go a few days without using it, but I still tend to use it most days out of habit. You only need the tiniest amount so I expect it will last a really long time to! Don't expect this to stop you from sweating, that's not it's purpose, but it does definitely control the smell if you give it time to take effect.

Well Well Well it works – I had been using heavy duty aluminum deodorant for years so the week without as recommended was smelly but worth it as my first application lasted 4 days, only just applied my second application last night so the clock was reset lets see how long it lasts this time. The best natural deodorant that actually works! – Lavilin works! I've tried so many natural deodorants that either gave me a skin reaction due to bicarb soda or didn't work in keeping me smelling fresh. This cream is easy to apply and actually works. Didn't work for me – I applied following instructions. Went a few days using no deodorant (I was using no pong for years before this, but I was looking for something that didn't leave white marks on singlets when sweat dripped the deodorant down - otherwise no pong is a great effective product). hours later I was left smelling worse than I ever had before. Applied again after showers for the next 10 days, but I still have the same reaction - very strong stink less than 24 hours later. I wont be continuing use.
