I had no idea about getting Internet connection after moving into a new home, after very many phone calls misdirection and hair pulling I found leaptel could organise everything, lots of locals advised against leaptel but don't be put off! I find it's perfect for me and have had no bother whatsoever well done everyone!

The speed 1000/50 Mbps is amassing!!!
I have been with Leaptel for about a year or so starting with plan 100/50 Mbps and then 250/100 and now 1000/50 Mbps it has always been a good service, absolutely amassing custom service - Australian one which is very important at least for me. The speed and realizability is perfect. The only thing I would recommend when offering such a fast connection is to offer a bit better modem something like Netgear etc. , of course you can always buy your own that is not an issue here. It is when you going to get such a speed a better modem to choose from would be an advantage.
All in all, I definitely recommend this Provider :)
Was renting a house connected to the NBN network and was with ABB. Purchased a house thinking it was also serviced by NBN only to find out it was opticomm. I was gutted with the lack of choices of ISP's to go through but took a chance with leaptel as they are aussie owned and operated. And I can confirm I am happy with the service and can't fault the service at all.
Never experienced a drop out and always recieved the 100/40 speeds I paid for and now I've upgraded to the supersonic speed it's even better! I have always recieved perfect custome...r service and Kate from online sales had been amazing to deal with in the transition to the supersonic speed plan. If Aussie broadband do eventually release opticomm plans there's no reason for me to switch, Leaptel are the AussieBB on the opticomm network!
Perfect and friendly service
I can’t fault Leaptel. We’ve just recently moved into an OptiComm suburb and only a few ISP’s supply internet. We’re so thankful for the service we’ve received from Leaptel. Both the sales and the tech team have been phenomenal to deal with. They’re located in Australia and there’s very little waiting to speak to a real person.
Initially we tried to use our own router and surprising the tech team went out of their way to help us make that happen. Each time I spoke to someone, they were always friendly, helpful and patient with me. In the end ...our router wasn’t compatible and a tech team member ordered me a new one over the phone yesterday afternoon. Somehow it turned up this morning! That’s amazingly quick delivery considering the current climate and the fact that the delivery left from Melbourne and got to our house on the Gold Coast in less than 24 hours! We’ve then plugged our new router in and everything works perfectly. To top things off, the speeds we’re getting are actually pretty good. Thanks very much to Leaptel and the team members that helped us out. I’m just disappointed that we’ve dealt with other terrible ISP’s in the past and didn’t get onto Leaptel sooner.

Overpriced, shocking connection. Never even gets close to the speed you pay for and drops out all the time. Even upgraded to a new modem and it did very little. I can not wait to put this experience behind me when I move.

Great customer service and great Internet
I’ve only just joined with Leaptel but so far I can’t complain. The customer service has been great and there is little to no wait time. We got connected to the internet within 30mins and the instructions were easy to understand. Kate from the online chat was the person I spoke to the most and she was fantastic and very helpful. She was ready to answer any questions I had and took the time to support me with starting the internet.

I was very unhappy with my previous provider. I read great reviews about Leaptel and wanted to give it a shot. Support agent Rob from Leaptel is just phenomenal. He and his colleagues made sure that I receive the router in a day. As soon as I received the router, I contacted Rob and he within 5 minutes activated my connection. Great Speeds, bad connection
If you are into your video games, I wouldn't suggest Leaptel, while the download and connection speed is awesome. Leaptel has very bad server connections to popular titles. Tried contacted them, however, they believe it isn't their issue, believing it is the game developers role to fix.
No dropouts yet, no issues with service except I don't think they're true speeds to what they let off. Speedtest is not reliable and not true unlike TestMy.net Unfortunately, it doesn't meet the guarantee that they let off from an Australian server. The support was good for Australian support. Always good to have. However, there was no after support asking if everything went well... Just demanded payment which is fine. Would be good if they could call their customers and see how everything is going with the service. I think Leaptel need a transparent application to change speeds or plans to suit. Pay bills and show line faults. That's what we pay for isn't it?

I've had a connection with Leaptel on the Opticomm network for a few months now and haven't had any problems. Good speeds, great customer support during the setup process and a functional web console. Also great value for money.
Excellent Customer Service. Reliable and fast internet speeds
This is my second review of Leaptel (first one being Opticomm connection). After experiencing connection problems with our previous Internet provider (Exetel) and NEVER being able to get to an operating or receiving a call-back, I decided it was time to switch to Leaptel, based on my previous experience with them. They did not disappoint. Modem was received within 2 days and they even helped out with our NBN-related connection problem that Exetel failed to address. It was resolved in less than a business day. Customer service is helpful and communicated every step of the way. Internet speeds are reliable and fast. Kudos to Leaptel. Highly recommended for Internet needs!

Excellent customer service and excellent internet speed. In February 2020 my son moved into a unit in Brisbane and started Uni, so a reliable high-speed internet connection was very important. The building wasn't connected to the NBN, instead the connection was thru LBNCo who provided a list of ISP's to choose from. I selected Leaptel based on these product reviews and was so glad I did - thanks to all of you who wrote these reviews! I ended up speaking with Rob who guided me through the entire process. I wanted to use my own programmable...modem/router which was a few years old. Rob spent several hours on the phone with me trouble shooting the setup parameters for this modem - he even found the manual online and read up on it before calling me back to advise me of the new configuration settings. Rob got it all working and the connection is just so fast, my son is thrilled, he also games a lot and tells me that the speed is awesome. I spoke to Rob several times on the phone during this process, he was always easy to contact (no overseas call centers) and followed up with a confirmation email once everything was working well. Rob was great to talk with, he explained everything clearly and was very patient - a real professional. This is probably some of the best customer service I've ever received from any company, subsequently I highly recommend Leaptel to anyone. Fastest home internet I have ever used in Australia
Two weeks ago we moved to our new property where LBNco was the provider, I was nervous and didn't want to move from Telstra, but I had no choice. I did some research and decided to signup with Leaptel on a month to month contract.
The signup process was easy and fast. Received credentials within 48hrs of signing up.
Deployment was seamless, Setup PPPoE on my apple time-capsule router without any issues (amazed).
Ran speed test and I was able to get 106mbs download and 33mbs upload, on top of it no matter what time of the day/night it is, no ...matter what the speed test results are, the quality and experience of internet usage is consistently smooth! Now that we are working from home, kids online schooling, Leaptel is providing by far superior quality internet services! BTW I ported my telephone number to leaptel, they did their part efficiently and instantly, however, the previous service provider is still in process of completing the port out request and when I called their support, first they were asking me to wait and it will port out itself, now due to Covid-19 their online chat is unavailable and phone support is painfully long waits... Leaptel keep up the good work!

Hi Jan - It depends on whether the address has the equipment installed or not. I would recommend talking to our team on livechat at www.leaptel.com.au and providing them with your address. They will be able to advise you on the timelines for activation and about the order process.
Given you're overseas and the timezones could be difficult, perhaps it would be best to email our support team at firstname.lastname@example.org. That way they can get back to you with detailed information.

Hi I am with Leaptel. I have not got my Netcom NF18ACV Router as yet but my service is up and running 25/5.
I would like to know when I received the Leaptel router if it is as they say simply pug and play. The kids really need the WIFI
