In my reviews failure seems to generally rest with support and Lenovo is another brand I would advise to stay away from and for an extremely poor reason not even deserving the one star because "terrible" is poor service not no service. For a long time now and again last weekend I went into the Lenovo web site to ascertain what battery I require… Read more
and this time as well if I could replace the existing SSD hard disk with something larger. I explored the site and found my laptop on a withdrawn product list, I suspect because it is now several years old but still not old enough not to have parts avaliable or as I could observe continued to be used in more recently built generations of my laptop. The list gave a lot of specs but not what I was after. I register a support query across several different Lenovo entry points and several days on have had no reply which has happened before. But what is extremely frustrating is in previous attempts when Lenovo support did reply, the reason they would not tell me what battery etc I need to purchase is because my warranty has expired even though I stated I would purchase from the Lenovo web site to ensure the tech is genuinely compatible.
How miserable is the culture and support people at Lenovo when a customer asks for sales or purchase information and they will not provide this, it would be very hard to go any lower when it comes to customer service. So I say stay away from Lenovo because as soon as the warranty is expired they do not want to know you as a customer.
I have an elderly friend in an aged care home who uses a Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 15 AN8. The laptop was around 14 months old and failed with a blank screen and no input would work, i.e. it was completely dead and diagnosis therefore impossible. Using the Lenovo website, I tried their recommended tests but to no avail. I contacted Lenovo explaining… Read more
the circumstances of my friend and details on the failure, Lenovo opened a case whereupon they suggested a further set of tests, again to no avail.
They asked that I box and ship the laptop back to Lenovo NSW, I’m in Queensland, which I did, Lenovo also paying the carriage charge. Their communication during this and subsequently was exemplary.
The laptop was repaired, at no cost to my friend, and returned in a few weeks. On starting there was a minor unusual error code, resolved by a local update.
Since then, the laptop has operated well and my friend delighted with the service he received. Assistance from both website and technician, Thanesh, was superb, I cannot fault how the problem was dealt with and resolved.
How do I get an actual repair service in Lenovo Australia?!! I raised 2x Lenovo service tickets for repair, 2031306313 & 2031306203. Followed up 7 times; 1. Lenovo originally claimed, repair resolved. 2. Lenovo claimed the tickets are closed. 3. Lenovo claimed my email is locked. 4. Lenovo claimed they escalated to unlock my email. 5. Lenovo… Read more
claimed they re-escalated and I should wait, 24 - 48 hours. 6. Followed up and requested Lenovo to share management details or email. 7. Lenovo lost my details and wanted me to resend all the details, AGAIN! Absolutely useless Lenovo Warranty Service in Australia! Rubbish!

purchased a Lenovo Yoga 7 less than two months ago, including a $120 Premium Care package. Shortly after, a structural crack appeared near the camera shutter. Despite my premium coverage, the support experience has been unacceptable. After a 10-day delay due to Lenovo’s broken email system, technicians finally took photos remotely. Now, I am… Read more
being asked to pay for a defect I did not cause. Furthermore, I was told that 'Premium Care is not applicable in Australia'—which raises the question: why is it being sold on the Australian website? I have observed that the 'Accidental Damage Cover' has been removed from my purchase records on the Lenovo portal. However, I have screenshots of the original terms and my receipt. This treatment is a clear violation of my rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). I expect this hardware failure to be covered under the premium service I paid for."

Worst Laptop Buying Experience! – Bought a laptop directly from the Lenovo website, and it arrived with big patches on top. The white bag it was wrapped in was spotless, meaning it was deliberately packed like this without any quality checks. Tried contacting their support, but they’ve been unresponsive for days. It’s been over a month, and still no resolution. This level of… Read more

If you’re considering buying from Lenovo, think again. Save yourself the trouble—don’t buy from them!
Disappointing Experience with Lenovo P12 Tab - Not Suitable for Note-taking – Disappointing Experience with Lenovo P12 Tab - Not Suitable for Note-taking Rating: 2/5 I'm extremely disappointed with my Lenovo P12 Tab, particularly when it comes to note-taking, which is a crucial aspect for me as a student. The device struggles with lag when writing, even with popular note-taking apps like Nebo, OneNote, and others. After… Read more
just 3-4 pages, the lag becomes unbearable, making it frustrating to use.
Furthermore, the pen tip is too rigid and lacks the softness and flexibility of other styluses, compare to the Samsung stylus. A softer tip would provide a more comfortable and natural writing experience, but the current tip feels awkward and unresponsive.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend the Lenovo P12 Tab for studying or note-taking purposes. Its performance falls short of expectations, and there are better options available in the market.
Terrible in general / Updated at the bottom – I am not at all satisfied with the product nor the steps to resolve the issue. I first brought the laptop last year and after two months of standard TAFE study it begins to stop working, when I turn it on it turns back off automatically followed by a click that is now driving me insane. Every time I call Lenovo tech support for any guidance or… Read more
assistance into resolving the issue I get told to put it into the BIOS setting (doesn't work since it turns back off automatically,) reset the laptop (doesn't work since it turns off automatically,) and press the button on the side of the laptop (which nor works.) then they just book it in for a service. when a service was first done to the laptop I was unable to do any assessments at home for month then when I had received it back it was functional for three weeks and does the same again.
UPDATE: So they had arranged for a technician to come out, he pulled it apart and put it back together (he did NOT replace a thing.) Just found out that the power button was installed incorrectly right from the get go.
The most annoying thing about my whole experience though, is that I lost most of my files and what not for TAFE (Couldn't back anything up due to this stuff up.)

Lenovo S340 3i Laptop – Never trust Lenovo! I purchased a Lenovo laptop, and shortly after, the screen began flickering and failed to boot. After sending it in for repair, the dodgy repair team returned it with a crack and without resolving the issue. After a second attempt at repair, it worked briefly, but failed again after just one month of daily use! I reached out to… Read more
Lenovo for a replacement, as it was clearly a manufacturer's fault that even their incompetent repair team couldn't fix! What a disappointing company! I wish IBM had never transferred their laptop manufacturing line to them! I raised the case with NSW Fair trading and Lenovo responded that "Should the customer wish to pursue a warranty service, Lenovo will require proof the device was used in accordance with manufacturer's guidance which we can obtain from diagnostic reports from the device itself." I think they believe that their laptops require oil change and tyre services like a car!!! In general I believe that Lenovo Australia does not respect Australian Consumers Law and should be punished for that!
I don’t understand why Lenovo has a Premier support plan which is supposed to be next day onsite? We are a high output business and cannot rely on lack luster service and warranty. Lenovo laptops. If we can’t rely on our hardware we can’t run a business. We purchased a few Thinkpad X9 14 in January to give Lenovo a go. The device won't boot or charge 2 months later, contacted tech support 8 days ago and still not even a return phone call. I have called them everyday to confirm a date the technician will arrive, the support consultant says they will assign a tech and the tech will call, but absolutely nothing. Definitely do not do business with Lenovo, they using Unisys for 3rd party tech support, and Unisys service is absolutely horrendous - you'll be on hold for hours and eventually talk to someone in India who never passes on information or sends a confirmation email.
Both have fallen apart. Would NOT recommend this product. The monitor has physically come off. It is completely unusable. How does a new laptop just fall apart like this from normal wear and tear? Terrible quality. So disapointed. Show details

I spent over $1300 on the yoga 7i Lenovo slim, thinking I would get a long life from this laptop. Unfortunately I went to turn it on and the screen started flickering with lines through it. I have purchased a 2-in-1 laptop last year during Black Friday sale for my son in high school. I also purchased 3 year onsite repair warranty. offline for a few seconds in between while in use. I raised a repair ticket with Lenovo, hoping to get this resolved. It has been more than a month going to and fro with their customer support team trying to diagnose the issue and yet no repair done so far. They asked me to upgrade the firmware, which I did, then they are asking me to delete everything from Windows and reinstall it even though it is not confirmed that Windows is glitchy. They said they want to eliminate all the issues first before they can send a technician to site for repairs. A month of horror dealing with Lenovo customer service team and I feel so exhausted, terrible, stressed and frustrated. Their instructions are not explicit and detailed. Their resistance is clearly visible from their responses and they just want to avoid sending a technician even though it is confirmed by them that keyboard require replacement. They just want to diagnose every problem and will send a technician only once all the problems are diagnosed. Their diagnosis process is so detailed that only tech experts can follow and do it and a normal person who is not techy can not do it. What is the point of having onsite repair option and paying $109 for it when they want to avoid sending someone in even though one issue is confirmed hardware problem. Such a cheap company to deal with. I am not buying any Lenovo product in future again. Stay away from such company who charge customers for services but do not provide even average service let along good service.
This company is the worst company you have ever heard of they scammed me big time with my order .they had the 1 dollar deal bag .when I bought it and decided to cancel the order a day later they still shipped the order and not send me the bag.i tried to to tell them about the issue all they could say Is bad luck
Flimsy and breakable products at a premium - do not buy, no warranty covering their shoddy workmanship! Heats up ridiculously badly. Barely 7 weeks old and open it up to find the screen broken , they say I broke it. No I did Not. I take care of my items and only upgraded because my last laptop was 10 yrs old!!!! Wish I stuck with Acer, or any other brand!. Show details

Excellent Customer Service – Out-of-Warranty Repair Honored I want to share a positive experience I had with Lenovo support. Despite the device being out of warranty, Lenovo agreed to have the laptop picked up, assessed, and ultimately repaired at no cost. Throughout the process, communication was clear, professional, and respectful, and my concerns around data privacy were handled properly.
Lenovo even allowed a full Windows reinstallation during service to ensure privacy, which I appreciated. The laptop has now been returned fully repaired and working.
While the initial failure was frustrating, Lenovo’s willingness to stand behind their product and resolve the issue fairly has left me with a very positive impression of their customer service. Credit where it’s due, they handled this very well.

Unbelievable level of amateur service – On the week of the 30th of May 2023 I have had several conversations with Lenovo agents, both pre-sale and post-sale to determine the right machine I'm after. I clearly explained the type of expectations I have for it and the main condition which is to use my existing harddrive in the new machine. Long story short, I received a machine different… Read more
from what the agent advised. He said that the P series is the only machines with 2 harddisk spaces and that I could replace it with mine as the warranty will not expire if I open and customize this machine.
I paid 4K and waited 3 weeks with excitement just to find that I received a machine I cannot use, all thanks to multiple amateur sales agents, which I actually needed to make an informative decision, which they get paid to do!
But that's not all of course. After informing this disappointment to customer service, I've been put on hold for the last 5 days because apparently, 2 different departments needs to respond to the machine's specs, which I have no idea why or what this is for.
What I do know is that I paid EXTRA $486 for "Premium Support Plus" as part of my purchase, just to find that I need to wait for god knows how long until someone cares about my situation. So instead of processing a return of this machine or helping me determine what IS the machine I can actually have instead, I'm just waiting for another nearly a week for nothing.
Next, I'll wait for more to process the return., Next, I'll wait for processing the next order of a machine + shipment, and all of that when I clearly asked to mark this as urgent with the "Premium Support Plus" included.
I reckon my new machine, which I replace once in 10+ years (so exciting right!?), will be here after 2 months of waiting and emails between Lenovo.
On top of this all, if and once Lenovo asks me to PAY for this mistake of their amateur agents and the expense of returning the shipment, as I expect they might, I'll just explode with anger, so that's another exciting step to look forward to. Thank you Lenovo for all this frustration on what should have been a happy occasion.

After a long chain of emails and phone calls, today, the 4th of July, I received a new machine with better specs for a similar price, which seems like a reasonably good outcome right? wrong!
The sales team advised me that this new machine can hold my existing SATA drive. I explicitly asked for a machine with space to use my SATA hard drive and the crappy salesperson approved it at least twice!
They have absolutely no idea what they're talking about! They will say YES to anything you'd ask just to sell it! You might as well ask for a laptop that makes coffee and they'll say of course!
Do NOT trust their sales agent on anything and expect super slow responses!

Lenovo helped me to make this right and provided me with the missing part for free. I was conflicted about whether I'll remove this review or not, but I said I'll change it for the better. Their agents are extremely hard to communicate with but it worked out for the better eventually.

The Technician who finally replaced the battery identified an issue with the screen delaminating around the edges. Lenovo are avoiding the warranty obligation by claiming customer induced damage. The machine has no evidence of impact or water damage. The technician who fixed the battery did not report any damage.
Seems the customer damage claim was try-on. They have now replaced the screen under warranty. You have to work hard to get the warranty honoured. Hopefully I won't have to deal with them again.
Do not buy anything from Lenovo!!! After placing order, it took 9 days to receive an email that delivery will be completed within 3 months. What a joke!! It appeared to be more serious than Temu.

problem, before I finally demanded a refund. The second broke at about the 16 month mark, just outside of warranty and so the retailer and Lenovo refused to even talk about repairs or returns. I stated the Australian Consumer Law and ACCC requirements that a product must meet reasonable life span for the price paid, and they both ignored me and refused to assist. As much as I would love to win on this, the time and effort to try and get a refund at this point are beyond my current capacity. My teen needs a new laptop to continue with their school work and Lenovo and Office works are both refusing to help. SO disappointed and I will not ever buy a Lenovo again. Absolutely ridiculously poor quality and not even trying to help. Massive disappointment.
Very poor customer service. 15 year loyal customer no more. Rarely deliver on what they promise. Last 2 laptops failed one within 10 months & couldn't be fixed. Took a month and over 20 hours of phone calls and emails to resolve. Lenovo is no longer quality and expensive to fix. Charge premium price for no longer quality products.
