Thai fridge has been terrible.
Contacted Lg after we could not receive the cash back because the fridge was delivered 3 months after purchase meaning that we missed the cutoff date to revive the cash back even though we purchased the fridge whilst the cash back offer was being given. The lady who claimed to be a manager did not help with the cash back.
The fridge has a terrible loud abnormal constant noise coming from the back of it.
I would like somebody to contact me as I’ve had enough of your poor customer service.
Purchased for $2,300.
Stainless steel problems
Fridge operation is OK but front stainless steel face dents extremely easily. We have other stainless appliances and they do not dent like this. (Eg an oven we have had for many years is stainless and has no dents at all.) Very poor build quality- we would not have bought if we knew how poor the Stainless steel veneer is. You can press it with your finger and it flexes. Would not recommend if you intend to use for every day life.
Noisy and not cooling
I have purchased this fridge from Harvey Norman 2 years and 7 months ago.
This fridge has been very noisy and not cooling enough.
We first discovered the noise issue 12 months ago and contacted HARVEY NORMAN who told us to contact LG.
Contacted LG and we were stuffed around by them as they said a repair centre will call
And never called.
Now it is not cooling enough. I set the fridge temperature at 0 degrees and my water is still not...Cold enough. I will go to Harvey Norman and ask for a refund. LG AFTER SALESERVICE IS VERY BAD. I already have contacted my local consumer department and they advised strongly even if the warranty is 12 months or 24 months a $2000 fridge shold Last more than 2 Years.

The French doors have it!
GF-B590PL (We had this item for only a week). It seems quite good but for such a short time we can't say too much about its performance. Just the same I like to say we liked its design. We never had 'French doors' fridge before but it seems quite nice and practical. It's quite roomy, I read that some people feel you can't put large items in it. I'm surprised of this as it seems easy to create large temporary room for such items. I also read about the unit being a little noisy but I agree with those who find it quiet, actually we find it very ...quiet. This item has an ice cube maker that strangely enough, it is a free standing unit loosely resting on 'any' freezer shelve you chose, but they have a high lip, forcing you to lift the whole unit to pull its 'bottom' draw of ice cubes out of it. It's delivery was a little of a challenge as its width (Apparently designed for narrow space!) is 8350 mm wide and you should check your accesses before having it delivered as if you need to go through sliding doors that stick out a little, it may be a problem! It has a touch pad "Smart" it is supposed to be, but I'm battling to get the WIFI working with the ThinQ app. that is not very successful at the present...Anyway this so call feature is apparently only able to cycle through the fridge and freezer temperature settings! This is a few + steps on the fridge, and some - (minus) on the freezer! So far no one as been able to tell me it can do more than this. How far would most people be from their fridge to need to adjust it remotely, we're not talking about a TV! ( I was advised to give this feedback to the 'technical' team, but still waiting for an answer!) However this adjustment can be done easily with that touch pad, but even there it will not tell you what temperature are these 2 compartments, only what it's set for, and the default seems to be +3 and -18. That touch pad has a few more features and warnings that may be useful. LG may or may not be easy to contact....I managed to get them on the phone, their 'live Chat' and also WhatsApp) after many tries, as often there was not reply or activity...Then you find on your phone or pc that they did not get a response from you so you were disconnected! However if you keep on it someone may actually connect again! But that someone is most likely a person that won´t be able to help you and you're on for another round...! Call back may be any length of time so you hope for the best....I guess many businesses operate the same though. When I got someone it was reasonable although they still have not managed to work out why my Wi Fi connection is not working. Or they call back never reach me but once but again to be promised another call.... (This review was first submitted to LG but despite a few contact and promises they'd ring or put me on a 'specialised' team I got nowhere with my query, I gave up on them as, like I hinted earlier on, it is rather a waste of time to use the Wi Fi feature anyway.)

Love it! A great family fridge with easy access, plenty of room and is so practical.
This fridge fits in a standard fridge space. The French doors make it so easy to find things, clean, store large containers. The freezer section is separated into two with slide out shelves. I love the practicality of it all. No more reaching in to find things, everything is right there in front. So much space in the doors. The shelves are just the right depth and I can fit enough food in the freezer for my family for two weeks. I bought the matt black finish, it's easy to keep clean, doesn't show marks and it matches my kitchen!

Love the large freezer section
We bought this 11 months ago (July 2020) when LG were doing cash back offers.
Paid $2076 and got $150 cash back directly from LG. The freezer section is large cf with other large fridges of similar volume. Exactly what we needed. The functionality of the doors is great, no plastic hinges either! Easy visibility in the fridge. Food stays fresh and cool. No frozen eggs, off milk, or wilted spinach!
Pros: GREAT freezer, holds temperature really well. French doors make it a dream to access. Great visibility inside. Easy to adjust the temperature.

Good fridge but poor service
There is nothing wrong with the fridge. I just want to comment on the poor service I received from LG.
I bought the fridge from Harvey Norman on 26 December 2020, because there was a $200 cashback promotion. I was told typically it would be delivered within 2-3 weeks. Typical practice is you pay the deposit first and the rest at delivery.
The fridge did not arrive until 30 January 2021 - more than a month since the deposit. Then I started the cashback application and I was told that my redeem was invalid because the program ended on 17 January ...

First impression: excellent
We replaced an 8 year old Bosch KAN92VI30A 'side-by-side' fridge freezer, of 652 L capacity, with this LG 'French door' unit. The LG has similar dimensions to the Bosch, but a larger capacity of 730 L. The Bosch had developed a gas leak which we were told was not fixable -- not impressive after just 8 years of use. The first thing we noticed about the LG GF-B730PL was how much quieter it is than the Bosch. We have had the LG for a month now. The build quality seems good, and the features are certainly superior to the Bosch. We hope that w...ill include power consumption. LG claims that their 'Inverter Linear Compressor' is quieter and more durable than other compressors, and offer a 10 year warranty on it. The LED interior lights really illuminate things when you open the doors. This unit has what LG calls 'Surround Cooling', which means that there are cooling strips built in to the door compartments so that the fridge cools from the front as well as from the rear. The compartment lay-out is well-designed. At $2,480 delivered (from Bing Lee) before LG's $200 after-sales rebate this is excellent value. We hope this fridge-freezer proves to be more durable than the Bosch it replaced.
Perfect french door!
We bought matte black finish, awesome fridge
- Great design and colour
- Wi-Fi connectivity
- Fridge door are lazy, they don't close themselves, need a push

We purchased this fridge 17 months ago and it was deemed unrepairable due to leaking gas pressure. In a way we were lucky it happened within the 2 yr warranty. Apparently this fridge cannot be serviced as the fridge back is sealed! We could have been $2000 out of pocket! LG do not have customer service. We had to chase them for credit note and as this fridge is now $300 more a year later, they would not compensate us the difference. We refused their offer of a same model fridge, which meant we would have to wait weeks more for. We are still waiting to hear back to a claim of lost food. Worst experience ever.

First one lasted 4 months due to compressor failure, Second one seems to have the same issue after 9 months
I bought this fridge last year, it only lasted for 4 months due the compressor failure. We got the fridge replaced with the same model by LG (prolonged process and troublesome food loss compensation process), this new replacement fridge worked fine for 9 months until last week, there is abnormal and loud noise running behind the fridge, both the fridge and freezer is getting warmer and warmer. Ice-cream is melting and the meat is getting softer. Contacted LG and awaiting service guys to check the fridge out the second time. I really hope this can be sorted before it break down and doesn't need to live without a fridge like last time.
Two new fridges same model are probably ending up with the same issue. Not a happy customer.

Terrible customer care
Our fridge’s motherboard short circuited twice due to a bad component in the freezer (under warranty). LG said they will replace the fridge however have not honour the time and date they said they will. Four weeks later we were then dismissed with store credit that does not cover the current price of the same fridge. The warranty means LG should replace the fridge one for one due to a bad component. Of course LG would prefer the cheaper store credit option. We now have to fork out few hundreds dollars to get an equivalent fridge for our family....We have a young baby with working adults who rely on the fridge for groceries and meal preps - in the midst of all this we have had to thrown or give away a significant amount of groceries. To be honest, never again. This is a terrible experience with their customer care and I hope it does not happen to anyone else.

We purchased this fridge due to the ease it provides whilst accessing. The four separate doors allows for individual compartments to be accessed without having the entire fridge being opened, It also has individual draws inside the freezer section that allows for easy access. Being elderly we also like the fact that we don`t have to juggle items within the freezer to find what your searching for. The build quality appears to be very good, it has the new inverter style electrics that is cheaper to run. This model does not have the internal water or ice supply which is also why we chose it. We didn`t require these functions.

Great slim design
- fits into our 91cm width
- wide shelving
- not noisy
- fruit/veg drawers too small. Can't fit long veggies like leeks, celery, kale.
- not all fridge shelves are adjustable in height.
- left fridge door is very loud when closing due to self closing hinge. Bottles in the shelves rattle a lot.

Questions & Answers
Our GF-B590PL 2 door fridge is quite good but occasionally it develops this high pitched noise. It sound like to me as a bearing noise. Today it has been going for about 2 hours. There are no flashing light etc to indicate there is any faults.
Your insight to this problem would be greatly appreciated.
Ours can be quite noisy but usually for shorter periods. Unfortunately we have had no support from LG as all 'service calls' are at our cost unless their technicians agree with us about issues. The ca...ll out fee we had to agree to be liable for was too high to be worthwhile.
I bought this fridge based on the sizes stated. Only to find that the fridge is too tall to fit in the space.
The space I have is 790 and stated height is 787. However, the fridge actually requires 810mm.
Is it possible to remove the wheels and Feet and will effect the performance and warranty of the fridge.
How do I do this?
