Great Fridge – We finally had enough of the crappy FP fridge we put up with for years and got one of these (floor demo model from Harvey Norman so it was quite heavily discounted as it had a minor scratch on the side). So happy with it. Honest don't have a bad word to say about it. The storage is so well laid out. The double door works fantastic. And I always… Read more

looked at fridges with ice makers as a bit of a gimmick but now, wouldn't get one without it. Can't believe how much we use that. So much storage. Not had any major problems with things freezing in the fridge. Occasionally, if you put delicate items right up the back near the vents you can get some light frost so don't put baby spinach there :) But other than that I really don't have a bad word to say about this fridge. Family of 4 with 2 teenagers so we go through plenty of food and this has more than enough room to keep up with our needs.

Always icing up – This fridge has great storage space, looks good & easy to use. The ice & water dispenser takes up less room than most other brands which I love. I would love this fridge if only it worked properly. Within a few months of owning it it’s never worked that well. The freezer constantly frost up & needs to be defrosted. Not acceptable for a $2800… Read more

fridge. The ice dispenser is slow at dispensing ice & more often than not ice gets stuck & you can only get ice by opening the ice compartment. And the displayed temperature is often incorrect.

Have had it serviced several times with the same reoccurring issues. Now in it’s 3rd year and the fan has stopped working. The fridge no longer cools, however freezer is working.

I’m out of warranty but thankfully I bought product care so they are replacing the fridge.

Note: product care have recently changed their terms so any fridge over $2000 can only have the manufacturers 2 year warranty.

A fridge should last at least 5-10yrs. If you buy this fridge or any other, & it has a fault after warranty expires I’d definitely take it up with the manufacturer as we are still covered under the consumer guarantees for the expected life of the item.

Alright I guess – It’s very quiet. Not too hard to clean. But I was expecting a lot more space. Freezer is cramped. It’s a bit tricky after all. It’s a 613L fridge but storage only 480L (as with any fridge I suppose). I think all the fridges should state the actual storage capacity.  Show details

Great fridge, plenty of space – After using the bottom mount fridges for years this time we decided we’ll get the french door with plumbed water and ice dispenser. Best purchase by far. Ice making is fairly quick and consistent. Occasionally we get some water (very tiny amount) that comes out through the ice dispenser but I think that’s acceptable. Will keep an eye on it and report back if it becomes an issue. Uses quite low energy which is great for such a big fridge.  Show details

Family size fridge – Allows for adjustable temperature and always maintains what we set! Ive never heard the fridge running. Even at night when the house is silent. And we dont have a large home. Im guilty of not cleaning it to often. But my wife tells me we're lucky its so easy to clean!  Show details

brilliant – It is really useful it has the temperatures highlighted on the first fridge door and you can see if it is working well. It is a silent fridge you don't hear a thing until the kids go for the Ice then it make a racquet. Keeping it clean is a breeze, inside and out. We have had this fridge from Brand New in 2015 and it hasn't missed a beat.  Show details

The design outlook makes your kitchen complete. Flexible trays to keep big items is another Heet feature. Ice cube and water dispenser are amazingly cool however just that this fridge requires plumbing which cost additional $300  Show details

Love this fridge/freezer – We bought this fridge just over a year ago from Harvey Norman. The only problems we have had is the door locking mechanism. You have to push the door quite hard to get it to stay closed or else it will slowly open itself again, lucky there is a warning beep to alert you. After about ten months the door refused to stay closed no matter how hard… Read more

you pushed it. We waited about three weeks for the new part, which turned out to be a completely new door. since then, we have had no problems with the door. The only other annoying thing is that there is no egg rack. If you put them on the shelf the ones nearest the back of the fridge tend to freeze as does the cucumber in the draw. other than that, we love the fridge. The door in door is great and the freezer draw holds loads of stuff. As others have said, the water tank is small so only the first glass is cold but hay there is plenty of ice in the ice maker to chill your drink. Occasionally in really hot weather the ice will stick together in the dispenser and it gets jammed up. You have to manually empty the ice box or else no ice will dispense. We have a 2 yr guarantee on our fridge, my only concern is that if the door lock breaks again after the 2 yrs, a whole new door would be very expensive. Just one thing, if you already own this fridge and you happen to spill anything on the lower shelf (I had meat juice run between the glass and the frame) you can easily remove the glass without disturbing the rest of the shelf, the glass is loose and just lifts out. On the whole, still very pleased with this product.

Overall happy with the product – Brought it from Harvey Norman 2 years ago - It’s good product but bit hard to clean the glass selves & etc. can not remove glass selves like other fridge’s - that’s one of the down fall of this product - maintains the temperature - plus very quite. Overall happy with the products  Show details

Love it but – Would have given 5 stars except it has a couple of minor irritations. It has plumbed water but only the first couple of glasses are cold because LG told me it is a water dispenser not a chiller. You have to pay attention to what you are doing or you end up with water on the floor. Love the crushed ice dispenser. The chiller drawer is great for… Read more

cheeses and the movable shelves are very handy. Easy to clean. Like the tray in the freezer above the baskets. Like the alarm if you leave the doors or freezer open too long. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

Almost perfect for us – Have had this fridge for a while now, and can say it works as it should. Temperature is constant. Not too loud (except when we don't close the door properly or fast enough, but am thankful for the alarm) Ice and water work as they should. Though the energy rating wasn't the best and though it is a lot bigger than our previous fridge, there is no… Read more

real difference in our electricity bill, so am happy with that.

Though big we find it very easy to fill it up, even as a household of 2... Would have liked to go bigger but it wouldn't have fit in the kitchen.

It took a while to organise it properly, as in how to get what you need out of it with minimum door opening, but that's good now. The waterfilter lasted a year before replacement was needed.

We would have liked bigger veg drawers (though they are quite big, we just seem to have a lot of produce, always).

I thought the freezer drawer would be unpractical but it is ok, just a matter of labeling things and keeping like with like...

We did have a small issue with the ice maker (which is awesome and fast) last winter when a few times the cubes froze solid in the container and would not dispense. Maybe we didn't use it enough? We emptied it out and turned it off for a few weeks until it got warmer again and was used more often. Never had the problem since.

Made the mistake of taking the protective plastic off the front. Don't do it!! Every finger print shows, and is hard to remove.

Also fridge magnets don't stick to the doors, which is a shame.

All and all happy with this fridge. Would recommend it!

Big BIG fridge! Not for old or frail people – We bought this fridge for my mum, it was delivered last week, so this is the first review i have written about it (will update review *if* anything goes wrong or as different points come to hand). We were tossing up between this model and a similar Samsung. We went with this one due to the water/ice maker taking up MUCH less space in the… Read more

fridge door than the Samsung model. Also this had the 'door in door' feature which my mum liked the idea of.

Firstly, this is a huge fridge - i tried to talk mum into something smaller, but what mum wants, mum gets.

she is now regretting getting one so big for a 70 year young woman living on her own - the capacity would best suit a family, with hungry hungry boys.

Take note of any cupboards that may need to open either side of the fridge - mum almost had an issue with not being able to open one, due to the large depth of the doors on this fridge - we had to push the fridge right over to the other side of the cavity so that she could open the pantry that is on an angle to the right of the fridge. The depth of the doors means that it sticks out quite far from within the cavity.

The fridge was fairly easy to install (including the ice/water function). We did have to purchase a jack (not sure if that is what it is called in plumbing terms) to connect the fridge hose to the water pipe that was in the house as the water pipe had a much smaller diameter than the fridge connection. No biggie, $5 at bunnings, sorted.

the water is not chilled to an overly cold temperature, some people might prefer that, but personally, i like my water to frost the glass.

The giant doors could be an issue for anyone who is not able to haul the giant things open. They are heavy, especially considering they are not full length. Obviously this is due to the 'door in door' function and the ice/water reserve. This also means they close heavy, quite a large thump compared to a "normal" fridge door.

You also have to keep an eye on it to make sure the doors DO close, as the swing you used to give your normal fridge door is not sufficient to close these enormous things.

Saying that, it is really handy for if you have little kids who like to open the fridge (when they shouldn't) as it means that can't, once again, personal appeal!

The door in door is also handy for keeping commonly used items there, drinks, sauces etc.

There is no egg compartment or meat drawer - there is a strange slimline drawer, probably useful for meat... as long as it is not a leg of lamb or an xmas ham.

The freezer drawer is just weird. A lot of bending and sorting, and you have to maintain a fair bit of organisation to know where things go. Being good at tetris is probably a bonus (luckily we have a spare freezer in the garage). Probably not recommended for older people or those with osteoporosis.

Other than that the fridge seems to operate like any other fridge, keeping things cold, not noisy compared to older fridges.

I would recommend if you have a white kitchen, get a white fridge - mum went against her instinct and got a stainless steel one (for something different) and it sticks out like... something that doesn't belong there!

Loved the fridge when we saw it in the showroom – We purchased the fridge late April 2016.We have had problems with the freezer draw from day 1. Two days ago we were unable to open the draw at all & are unable to access the freezer section of the appliance. After one & a half hours on the phone to the retailer who we purchased from & then to LG we were told someone would contact us in 24 to 48… Read more

hours. We were not happy when we were finally contacted to be told it would be next Wednesday before a service man could attend. A full week with an jammed freezer in 30+ heat. not to mention we have to purchase meat & other products unavailable to us for a full week. We consider this to be unacceptable service & will seriously consider purchasing any other LG products in future.
