Very noisy fan – Purchased new. On the positive side it has a 10 year warranty on the compressor which is better than most AC manufacturers. And was quite a reasonable priced product. biggest disappointment is the fan noise coming from the head unit. I have the fan set at its lowest possible speed and its still too loud and makes conversation or watching TV more difficult. My bedroom(s) AC are much much more quieter. If you plan to buy this unit I would recommend it NOT be installed in anyplace where people will congregate ie its not suitable for a living room or dining room or family room or kitchen. It would be Ok if you planned to install it in a corridor or maybe say in a garage where the noise factor is not so important.

big company hand-ball to avoid taking responsibility: * sent assessors * time passes, case manager didn’t receive report * time passes, case manager away ill * sends another assessor * my calls being hand-balled around LG, waiting, phone calls drop out (you know the drill) Case manager leads me to believe a replacement will be considered Ultimately LG advises it’s a corrosion issue, we don’t warrant against corrosion (thanks LG, A - you should warrant the units you sell in Qld to be fit for Qld, which is a coastal city and, B - thanks for giving me the months and hours of wasted time on the phone).
