Frustrating – I paid out my car loan on the 17th February. I was provided a payout amount, and that figure showed uncleared funds. I did as instructed and removed the uncleared funds from the payout figure. this and thought I owed that amount so I contacted them to ask. The gentleman on the phone stated that they owed me $417 and that would come back to my account soon.
I then called again a few days later to enquire about the difference between the $641 in the dashboard and the $417. As the settlement figure I paid already had me paying the fees, my understanding would be that if I was in advance the $641, I should get the $641 back. The lady on the phone stated that the difference was towards the payout fees - again made no sense but I ended the call to ask a family member to help me understand.
I called on the 3rd March in the evening to ask for an update on the closure and return of funds. I was informed the finance team had not even picked up my account to process for closing. That’s 10 business days and they hadn’t even looked at it?! I was also again informed that the $417 would be coming soon, she was going to personally contact the financial team on Monday morning and call me back. I did not receive a call until Monday afternoon, whereby a gentleman on the phone rang to tell me that although I was thinking they owed me $417 they did not and everything was evened out. I corrected him explaining that initially I believed everything was closed out and it was them on three seperate occasions whom informed me that they owed me the monies. How dan so many people be so incompetent at the financial equations in a finance company???? Why give false information??? And what takes 11 business days to settle an account???
I am currently having someone else look over the documents properly to ensure everything is above board, however even if it is, I won’t be using this company again based on their pure and utter incompetence at the end
