One bag of fish all dead, another bag has gosh riddled with infections, and disabilities - missing fins, missing lips, missing eyes. Shipping took 3.5 days, so fish were suffering for way too long. These fish were packaged and sent ill. Do not support this shop.
I have ordered from livefish 3 times and 2 or the 3 times they sent me Golden Rosy Barbs when I clearly ordered Rosy Barbs, which are listed separately on the website and clearly different fish in the listing. first time they admitted to the mistake, this time they made excuses basically putting blame on me for not knowing "they keep them all in the same tank" and claiming "they will probably grow in to the is you ordered", excuses actually used. I was happy to receive live fish by mail outside express post areas, and living 3hours from a pet shop. Though it now costs an additional $80 to do so. I am not so happy any more. I even offered to pay for the fish I didn't want, they make good tank cleaners.
Livefish wont be getting more business from me. It's the excuses that bother me most.

first place… to make up shipping.. I tried to cancel the other fish but they were already on their way.
When the fish that I didn’t actually want got here they were the most pale- colorless from stress (so I thought) Before they even got to acclimate to the tank - a few of them died..
Once in the tank and the light had turned on oh my god.. the condition of the fish you sent is disgusting . You obviously have no quality control and obviously do not care for the fish you breed at all.
The fish I received were not only looking like they were on deaths door.. but I got fish with white spot/ some deformed fish that looked like they were half eaten..
I am beyond disappointed, in the process and how this has been handled and the care of the fish and QC process.
I will never order here again.
Terrible Customer Service – Terrible Customer Service. They sent me two sick Corydoras that dies from red blotch within 72 hrs and refused to refund or replace them. Don't waste your money
Worst fish supplier this side of the black stump – July 2024. I bought 10 Kuhli and 4 pygmy loaches from these people. One of the pygmy loaches was not a pygmy loach. were unpleasant and ended up ignoring me and refused to accept any responsibility when it was entirely their fault. My tanks are old and established and well maintained. There was nothing wrong with my water. I've since bought 10 loaches from another shop. It's been 2 weeks and they are thriving in my old established tanks with the same UNCHECKED water parameters. I will NEVER buy another fish from these idiots and I suggest you don't either. Here's a picture of their expensive loaches feeding my black worms. I strongly encourage you to buy from somewhere else online because they will absolutely not care about you. They get their fish from a supplier. They are NOT inhouse. You will see from other reviews here that I am not alone in this experience. They arrive alive and then die, and you will get blamed if you complain, and then ignored. You WILL lose your money and if you don't have a quarantine tank, you'll likely lose existing fish as well. I lost well over $100 and a lot of time and stress from my experience. Do NOT buy from LIVEFISH.
Good experience – Ordered some saddleback loaches among other things, the saddlebacks arrived in seemingly perfect condition, considering they require extremely clean water, the 8 other fish I ordered were all healthy with no DOAS. I live in qld and they shipped from nsw, I ordered Friday, it was shipped and sent on Monday, arrived here on Wednesday. No spillage. I can't fault them at all.

Exemplary – Ordered Angelfish and Gourami. All fish arrived healthy and full of beans. Considering I'm in WA, that's pretty awesome!. Can't fault these guys in any way and You'd be crazy to buy anywhere else. I'll be back to buy some Cichlids in the new year. WRAPT!!

Terrible experience – I bought 10 Oto catfish and 5 out of 10 died within a week time. Every time I tried to write a review for that item, it was removed! just to mislead the next customer! i am so disappointed.
Will not process cancellation – After repeated requests to stop and cancel an order prior to shipping, all these guys cared was processing the order with a zero refund policy! Totally unacceptable in this day and age. This order was a light bracket so no issue with livestock or shelf life issues.

Wonderful – I have bought off Livefish many times. The best experience. I live in northern WA so it takes four days by plane and courier to get to me, but every time I have received excellent fish which have lived long and happy lives. “B grade Betta” – My first experience with ordering a live fish online.. and I was nervous! I purchased a “B grade Betta” for a couple of dollars expecting a fin bitten ugly fish… I am so Impressed and in love with my beautiful healthy fish! He is a lovey addition. The delivery took one day and the esky had a little heat pack to keep him warm. He didn’t even look stressed.
Dead on arrival/ Poor customer service when it came to me asking for a full refund – With the first order I received the fish were all dead on arrival and the water was murky. guess that's to be expected. I added them to my tank properly and safely, but stupidly without quarantining first. Then the new fish showed signs of white spot and now I'm going through the painful process of cleaning my entire tank and potentially losing all the new fish, plus some of my already existing ones! I know the white spot didn't come from my tank, as I've never had this issue before. The company was really good about it, apologized and offered a refund on all the fish. I wasn't mad, these things happen. I should have quarantined first. These new fish don't really look like the pictures on the site. Not as bright and totally different body shapes/fins. These fish are super long in the body like sharks. Not sure if it's an age thing or not though, maybe I just have young fish.

what to do, rather than problems with the fish. I think it may be unfair to blame Livefish without knowing more about what customers did or didn't do prior to their fish dying. Too many people assume they know how to look after fish but in reality don't. Learn the proper way to unbag, ammonia toxicity relative to ph and co2 and I think many of the issues would not exist. As I say, always had healthy fish and no deaths or other issues. I would highly recommend livefish.com.au
Excellent experience – Service and communications has been excellent. Fish arrived on time and in very good condition. Based on two orders about 6 months apart, the quality of stock has also been excellent when compared with several local aquariums from which I have bought fish over the last few years. No sickness or losses thus far.
If they don't deliver or deliver wrong item. Your right is to complain to AUST Consumer Affairs – I didn't receive 2 fish but got 2 alternative. I didn't receive my plants I paid for. Fish guarantee is a bit scammy – With their fish guarantee your fish needs to arrive dead on arrival. It doesn't matter even if the fish are stressed beyond return of death. You only have a small window from delivery time, and fish must be in unopened bag. get a lose due to highly stressed fish. No guarantee as it's been too long! Acclimatize the fish by adding tank water slowly to the bag. Another stressed fish dies... No guarantee! Becareful and expect deaths from highly stressed fish and no guarantee
Great Fish and Service – I had ordered 5 fish 3 weeks ago and live in Melbourne. The fished arrived safely and are still alive. I am very happy with the fish received. The fish were packed well. LiveFish communication on line by messaging was great. I was very hesitant at first ordering fish by post. You can have problems even buying from the local aquarium which I have experienced. Would purchase again.
