would be no extra costs" as well as “certain paperwork was all sorted. We trusted this information and proceeded based on their "expert" advice.

That was our biggest mistake.

The information we received was completely false. The reality was that the process took us 2 months and we were ended up paying thousands on top of our mortgage.

The financial damage was significant. This broker's incompetence or outright dishonesty ended up costing us a lot of out of pocket to fix a situation that should never have happened. But the money was almost secondary to the sheer stress and anxiety. We spent countless hours on the phone trying to fix their mistakes and losing sleep worrying about our finances

When we tried to address the issue, the response was a complete lack of accountability. They blamed everyone else but refused to take responsibility for the false information they provided

Do not make the same error we did. The false sense of security they offer is a trap.

We engaged Owen's services after a strong recommendation from a friend. We had previously dealt with other mortgage brokers who didn't really give us a lot of options, and were put off by some of our complicated financial situation. very professional, but also very friendly and personable and he clearly has a solid expertise in the industry.

At our first meeting, Owen sat with us and gathered as much information as he needed to start the process. He was thorough, but not invasive and was very sensitive to our recent family tragedy. He ran through some basics for us in terms of where he thought our borrowing power would sit, as well as the various choices and options he thought would be available to us. He came back to us within a couple of days with a breakdown of what he could offer - the entire time he was extremely generous with information and the benefits and pitfalls of various options. He also let us know that he had another option up his sleeve that he thought could suit us better, but that it would take some time to investigate this further. His communication was spot on for us - he was attentive and offered his guidance wherever needed, but in no way pushed us towards anything.

After a few months of looking, and given our complicated financial situation of being self employed, owning a farm and dealing with probate, Owen was able to find an excellent solution to allow us to get into a new home. He ended up taking on a lot of extra work, having to jump through many hoops to assist us and we have no doubt that if it wasn't for his knowledge and commitment that we wouldn't have been able to get our new home across the line. He also managed to secure us an outstanding interest rate that was well below anything else we had seen.

We would not hesitate to recommend Owen to anybody who is looking for a new home - we couldn't fault our experience with him, and it is rare to find someone with this in depth knowledge who is so thorough and driven. Thanks Owen!

Our experience with broker [Name Removed] has been financially devastating. He arranged a sham caveat loan through a company called Briqwise — an unlicensed lender with no credit licence and no financial services licence. personally filled in forms on our behalf, falsified details, and assured us there would be “no credit checks.” He pressured us to set up a one-day-old company purely to push the loan through.

When we raised concerns, instead of resolving them he responded with intimidation, making remarks such as “watch yourself” and “be careful what you say.” We have since provided evidence to ASIC and the Federal Police and have commenced court proceedings. Evidence also shows he was paid in gold bars by criminal associates to write bad loans — not just for us, but for others as well.

Loan Market has been aware of this misconduct for more than six months, yet has taken no action. Had they engaged with us responsibly, this review could have been very different. Instead, we have been left fighting to save our home and are at risk of homelessness.

We strongly urge people to avoid Loan Market and, in particular, [Name Removed]. We are actively pursuing regulatory action to have his licence cancelled with ASIC. Please be extremely cautious before engaging with this broker.

I am the customer of loan market from 2021. They increase their prices of home insurance policy by tenfold. consider the security measures that I have applied to the property and said that it’s doesn’t matter. I told them that others are taking in account of what I have done in past years to secure my home and offering to reduce the cost of premium. But no .. loan market people didn’t budge. I am going to Change to different providers now. Beware.. they are loan sharks not loan providers. And the worst thing was that my broker had them on default.

Worst mistake - ruined our finances – We used Loan Market through Domaine Financing and they messed up our finances so bad that we were out all of our savings. Our rep was fired and we are taking them to AFCA for negligence. Beware - they make lots of game plans and promises - but like most brokers they offer nothing exceptional.
