I bought 2 sofas from Lounge Lovers and I have to say the service was impeccable. Products were available and I had numerous delivery date options. The delivery service allows you to track the driver so you don’t have to stay at home for the whole 3 hour delivery period. The drivers arrived on time to the minute and were great to deal with. unbelievable amount of plastic packaging the couch sections come wrapped in. I’m dismayed that is 2026 we are not doing better than this. It will take weeks for us to dispose of it bit by bit too. One thing Lounge Lovers could do is to look into how they could make their packaging more sustainable, recyclable and friendly to the environment.

from a DVD case caused the stain/finish to come away. This happened during normal, careful use, which raises serious concerns about the durability and overall quality of the product.
For a piece of furniture at this price point, I would expect a properly sealed, durable finish that can handle everyday use in a living room. Instead, the surface appears very fragile and easily damaged, which is not acceptable for something positioned and priced as a premium item.
I contacted customer service and was told the issue was “accidental damage” and therefore not covered. I strongly disagree, as this is clearly a quality and finish issue rather than misuse.
Overall, the quality does not match the price at all, and the customer service response was unhelpful and dismissive.
Do not recommend buying this product.
Follow-up · I lodged a complaint with Consumer Affairs and was told I would need to pay for someone to come out and inspect the TV unit and write a report supporting my claim that it is of poor quality. $120.00 fee if not returned in boxes and packed (not assembled). There is also a deduction of 50% of the original cost if the items have been used. And also delivery costs. In essence they want the product back and the customer to pay for more than 50% + $200.00 for the costs cited above. How misleading is their 21 day change of mind return policy?
We received the 4 stools in boxes on the saturday (11 April 2026). They were delivered unassembled. Stools can not be tried/used without assembling them. We assembled them and I sat on one of the stools less than 30min on the sunday (12 April 2026). I could not walk the next day due to massive back pain caused by the shape of the seat. The stools are basically useless for me.
My question is "How can the stools be in their original packaging and at the same time know that they cannot be used?" The policy is simply flawed and it does not help the customer. Be careful when buying from this company.
I found the staff at the Geelong store very helpful but the phone staff (who organise returns) frustrating as I could not understand them. They had the gall to say that the phone calls were recorded! Why? because I was becoming frustrated and I was raising my voice. I was given various excuses like " your email does not work" "Have to check with team members", "the stools need to be in their original condition" which I could not believe because I had the stools for 3 days only! I waited over 6 hours for an email which outlined all of those elements which are "hidden" elements and not listed on their web site.
I originally emailed the salesperson in Geelong (Tuesday 14 April) and when I did not hear from her I rang the store (Wednesday 15 April) where I was given the 1300.... number. The response from the sydney number was appalling. We have 4 stools which are basically useless to us but I refuse to pay this crowd anymore money for products which I had for 2 days and they can resell them as they are not damaged.
Follow-up · It didn’t seem that staff were trained on policy. The phone staff tried to conceal what would happen and how little I would be refunded. saying the delivery drivers had tried to deliver the packages but couldn't. That they waited 15 minutes and left, and were unable to return later that day.
If that were true, I'd be more understanding, but they simply lied about being here for 15 minues and that they made themselves known. No door bell ring, no 'loud' knock.
On top of the failure to deliver, they also charged a redilvery fee.
Safe to say I won't be using Loungelovers again.

started looking at online reviews....that's when my heart sank. If you want to see genuine reviews, look at their Facebook page & other social media pages. Almost everyone has had the same poor experience with the same tired old excuses. Lounge Lovers do NOT know how to operate a business & they couldn't care less about their customers. I would go as far to say that they are not just incompetent, I believe they are sabotaging their own business & simply don't care.
I have made a formal complaint to Fair Trading & I will be expecting a full refund.
