Warranty claims were honoured and repaired – Bought our Mt Beauty series 1 in 2020 with no issues to begin with. Over time the front spare wheel mount broke and started to crack the toolbox. Pakenham workshop fixed all issues under warranty relocating spare wheel mount and now the van is humming along perfectly. Show details
Do Not Buy! – Had a number of issues with the Mt Beauty Series 1 which we bought brand new in 2022, however these were rectified without too many dramas. Just completed a trip around WA and let me just say that the van ( which was promoted as being a fully off road van) almost fell apart. Slide out bed collapsed and window frames inside fell off. Body twisted… Read more
and as a result the silicon split. Lumberjack responded that the issues were "wear and tear" which was rubbish. Fortunately we were able to claim the damage through insurance and received our money back as the van was written off! I notice that LJ are no longer at Pakenham and their only dealership in Australia appears to be Hervey Bay. Would not recommend buying one of these vans at all. You have been warned!!
DO NOT BUY A VAN FROM THIS COMPANY – If could give zero stars I would. The WORST after sales service of any company I have ever dealt with. They lie and and refuse to accept any responsibility when things that should work don’t. You can’t even call them directly. No phone number listed and no email address. Only the dealer can speak to them and even they get lied to. Had problems… Read more
with dodgy battery, tapware, water tanks and fridge on brand new van. Buy another brand. Do not make the same mistake we did.

Beware Tare overweight – Beware of the Tare weight stated on the identification plate mine was out by 300kg so that was half of my payload I have had to fix a lot of issues on this van but that one I have only been able to rectify slightly. I would suggest anyone purchasing one of these vans to demand a certified weightbridge certificate under your supervision and i… Read more
believe it is meant to include the empty gas bottles the full hws and the toilet flushing water but I'm not 100% sure on that. Good luck
Love our Lumberjack Allendale – We love our Camper. We don't have room to store a caravan so we looked at all the camper trailers on offer at the show at the time and Lumberjack met all we were looking for. Yes they do take some time and effort to set up. But once set up its perfect for our family of 4. We have had minor issues but the customer service we received was… Read more · 1
outstanding especially in these difficult times. Our camper became our home for 2 weeks at the beginning 2020 when we had to evacuate our town due to bushfires. It gave us a comfortable space call home.
We took delivery of our Sorrento on Australia Day – Our experience with the lumberjack team from the start talking with Arthur and Teresa at the end has been great Show details · 1
Great price great service – Visited the showroom on a whim and saw a demo Mt Beauty for reduced sale. The female salesperson allowed me to look through things without being pushy and without assuming I know nothing about vans. I appreciated her giving me space. The sales process was smooth with an extra power point added for us and a longer awning has been ordered, hopefully… Read more · 1
to arrive soon. The staff seemed to genuinely want positive interactions with customers and when we have returned with a couple of issues have been very happy to assist. We have recommended them to our friends. I was in a bit of a rush with the handover which I regret as I am still learning to use things but appreciate that the staff will always assist and when we take the van for the first service I feel confident that I'll learn even more. Thanks to all the crew, you made me feel like I would want to come visit for a coffee!
The Sheoak camper trailer. The perfect choice – The Sheoak camper is a perfect choice if a lightweight camper is required. It tows effortless behind my jeep wrangler. There is enough storage for your camping requirements. Stopping over for a short one night, enroute to your main destination is a breeze with no setting up required. The Queen size bed is really comfortable which to me was a home… Read more
from home. The only cons on this was that a couple of reading lamps would be good as the main L.E.D lights of the cabin which are great but a bit too bright when in bed. The kitchen area is functional but the downside is when the four burner is operational there is no access to the drawers or cupboards apart from the cupboard on the right. I feel that the on switch for the water pump should be allocated next to the sink. I have no complaints regarding the the exterior apart from a recovery hitch at the rear of the camper. Apart from the criticism, which I have to say is not a deal breaker, the overall use for the purpose, this little hybrid is the one. On its maiden voyage into the Victorian high country it handled everything thrown at it including torrential rain, hail and snow. The staff whom I dealt with were exceptional, in being helpful during the purchase process with nothing being a problem and always being informative regarding their products.

Do not buy from Lumberjack extremely terrible service – I bought a new prototype Lumberjack Mt Royal 16ft 5 weeks ago and finally got away in it over the first week of Easter. Major problems the mounting leg on one side of the awning fell off as one of their so called technicians had over tightened it and replaced it with different bolts and over tightened them and just stuck it on with sealer,… Read more
microwave won’t work at all even on mains power, the so called inverter I was told had a built in Dc to Dc charger does not work it only charges from the inverter on mains power, the trip switch board doesn’t isolate anything in fact I don’t think it’s connected at all?. I have missing keys not supplied so can’t lock my toilet cassette compartment or my storage box on the front as the keys they supplied don’t fit. No instructions for washer, microwave, inverter,. The only charging I have when off grid is my roof solar can’t, charge from my generator the inverter keeps tripping out my generator and can’t charge from my car and a list of other items to boot. I haven’t made a warranty claim yet as I need to speak to them first to make sure my claim is done right, I’ve rang several times nobody answers at Pakenham as Geelong where I bought it is now shut down. I’ve left several messages nobody rings back?… if this is what you call customer service Lumberjack then your in the wrong job. I’ve spent a lot of money with Lumberjack and wish I’d gone elsewhere. Looks like I’m going to have to contact consumer affairs to see how I stand getting ALL my money back. Take my advice DO NOT buy a Lumberjack if this is how their going to treat customers, you’ve been warned.
SHEOAK Lumberjacks only got to sort out 3 little issues really to have a bulletproof camper – I purchased a one year old Sheoak in March 2021 which had travelled less than 500klms. I’m happy with the build quality of the Sheoak except for the 65 lt stainless water tank which has no baffles and is not suitable for off-road or even corrugated roads. I replaced it with two poly tanks from Camec and still managed to use the original water… Read more
gauge myself after being told by experts (not from LJ) it was impossible. The Sheoak has a couple of bad design faults in its Kitchen which I’ve remedied. I took the hinge axle out of the wind shield for the four burner stove so I can just simply remove it and use on a fold up table for a preparation area. When it’s on it denies access to virtually the whole pantry and drawers. I made two short pins out of the long hinge axle and it can still work as originally set up if you want. 2nd modification I did was I permanently connected the stove and regulator to a relocated bigger gas cylinder. Now I can just pull the stove out and make a cuppa without fishing the hose and regulator out of under the sink and removing the gas cylinder and placing on the ground. I’m hoping Lumberjack remedy these not small issues in their new model because the camper is well built has great suspension. I’ve been 10,000k in it around Qld and except for the water tank splitting it’s been great. I removed the spare wheel and from underneath and put in a second water tank. I now have 160lt water capacity. Going to Tasmania WA and top end starting February 2022 so will keep you posted after going around the block via Gibb River Lawn Hill and Kurumba b4 home in southern Qld. From outbackpete 20/11/21
Mt Beauty – Hey there to all. I purchased a Mt Beauty compact hybrid camper just over four weeks ago and I super love it. privilege of as yet. This post is to express my happiness. While I have seen, heard and read some much negative feedback or post it hasn't swayed me from my feelings. While we can argue that everything should be fitted and added at time of purchase or hand over, we are only human. Some things can be left out or not available. The quality of my unit is awesome. My wifies and I are absolutely thrilled to bits with owning it. The sales team have been so helpful and ready to assist at every request from pre sales to sold. The aftermarket crew are just unbelievable. They have offered every bit of help and support that can be offered and followed through with what ever I was requesting with no hesitations. Everyone item that was on back order, lost on my part or just over looked has been sent to me. I've had no issues with any of the team and their help and support has been amazing. Super love my unit. Super love the care and support but most importantly I'm impressed with everything. I'm one happy camper. For me I'd highly recommend the Geelong team and their awesome stock. Thank you.

Repairs under Wrranty – After having the right hand wheel separate from my Lumberjack Sorrento van between Nowa Nowa and Lakes Entrance on the second day of a trip I organised emergency repairs to be done and was towed into Lakes Entrance. repairs to be done. The repairs were carried out to a high standard within 24 hours. Nothing was to much trouble and I was kept in the loop as to what was going on. Both of these ladies are an asset to Lumberjack. To Michelle I again say thank you for your help in what was a rather stressful situation.
Great touring van – Bought van in December and did 3 practice runs around Victoria, all good bar a couple of small issues that Lumberjack fixed without a problem. In Darwin now and running a dream. Show details

Geelong Lumberjack – My daughter recently bought a Johanna camper in Geelong, initially a couple of small issues. Took the van in, after sales was amazing, everything fixed or replaced. On trip to North Qld, lost a wheel. Dragan at Geelong organized replacement, sent two so they matched. Paid all costs without question. Followed up with phone calls re her welfare. Dragan has given me faith in customer service. Highly recommend this man and the company. Thanks Ian Show details

New Johanna - forever troubles with fridge and battery – Bought a ‘new Johanna 2022’ from Geelong, since purchase we have had issues with the batteries and the firefly fridge, which we can only run on economy mode otherwise the compressor fails. We have lost two fridge loads of food already due to the sub standard fridge. We sent it back to be looked at and they replied that it’s working properly. … Read more
Batteries don’t hold charge at all with minimal usage.
These two things give a sour taste in the mouth after you spend $30k on a van
Unethical, Dishonest, Poor Quality... BEWARE – Avoid Lumberjack at all costs. If we could score a zero, they'd be getting it. We were original owners of a 2020 Lumberjack Glenaire, purchased in early October 2020 that was unable to be used for a period of 10months since the purchase of the trailer as a result of Lumberjack failing to provide a serviceable product and as per the conditions of… Read more
the purchase of sale.
Initial sales service was exemplary, however don't be fooled... once they have your hard earned savings things very quickly turn into an absolute nightmare. Lumberjack charged us almost $4,000 for 'optional extras' however failed to deliver on any of the extras and provided us with a defective trailer unfit for the purpose of purchase. The Glenaire is sold as a motorised opening trailer, however straight from the factory the trailer was incapable of lifting the rear bed (even with Batteries at full capacity) and the remote control unit was non responsive (again new battery fitted) and required manual set up. Checked other posts and it seems to be a common fault with the Glenaire and Lumberjack charge in excess of $2,000 to provide replacement actuators at the customers expense... Product Recall?
After attempting to have the long list of defects rectified and have Lumberjack make good on the conditions of the purchase agreement, after 7months we were left with no option but to escalate things further through the NSW Civil & Administrative Tribunal, who ruled Lumberjack were to provide a refund in full amongst other conditions.
This organisation is completely dishonest and unethical and is most certainly not committed to supporting their customers as they proclaim, instead in the event of a warranty claim, or in the event they do not produce the product that the customer has paid for they just give you the run around (10 months from start to finish) and produce no resolutions to any of the problems . They will attempt to talk they way out of any situation and will provide fictitious responses to any negative feedback provided in an attempt to convince their shrinking customer base of their professionalism and commitment to their customers... don't do as we have done and fall for it.
This organisation has defrauded us and others of their hard earned savings, charging for additional work that was not carried out, charging for additional extras that were never provided and the after sales support is absolutely atrocious. The trailer itself is substandard and displays a complete lack of knowledge of suitable and compatible materials... using steel hardware on aluminium resulting in immediate and sever galvanic corrosion. Numerous 'stainless steel' hardware had badly rusted and corroded and required replacement even when the trailer had been housed in a secured shed for its entire life.
Before Lumberjack attempt to discredit our review as they had attempted with all other negative reviews, it must be pointed out that not one single third party tradesman has carried out any work on our camper, the defects and challenges are direct from Lumberjack alone.
A total waste of time, money and resources dealing with them. There are much better options than Lumberjack out there and we intend to invest our families money into a number of other providers aside from Lumberjack.
Avoid Lumberjack at all costs.
Waste of time – Drove all the way from Melbourne today to purchase a pod showroom was empty all stock was on its way to the show never seen a dealer have no showroom stock ever poorly organised company not even a mention on there web site lost me as a buyer Show details

Purchased our Buckley second hand from a family member – We were taking the camper back to Adelaide to sell on her behalf but once we looked at it we were impressed enough to buy it ourselves. Have already done several trips and the Buckley suits us perfectly. Good to find the forum and pleased to find the it covers the good, the bad and the ugly. Would recommend this product. Great Service and Great Product – After 6 months of research we finally settled on a Lumberjack Johanna Ultra-Light Forward Fold. along and mid February we picked up our camper. Handover was very good with a test set-up provided and all the key issues covered. Very professional. We have since completed our first camping trip up to Wagga Wagga for the long weekend and it all went very smoothly. Extremely happy with the product and because of the light weight fuel usage is not hit that hard. Many thanks to Arthur and his team. Highly recommended.

Mt. Buffalo Compact 16ft - Perfect off roader for our family of 6!! – The team at Lumberjack Geelong have been a pleasure to deal with. spoke to at the 2020 Camping Show were willing to try and modify their hybrids. The van sets up quickly and is easy to not only use, but to tow as well. We did have a few teething issues on our maiden voyage, of which Danni @ Lumberjack Geelong dealt with promptly. We have been extremely pleased with their customer service as we were aware of some not so great reviews in this department. Our experience has been amazing with this and we were very appreciative of the updates throughout. Our family would highly recommend looking at the Lumberjack brand.

Terrible – Ordered a mount beauty in November. Was told delivery end of December start of January. for removing a star and even though I was told delivery end of December start of January like many other customers he then denied telling me that and was very angry at me making me out to be a liar and told me he would have never said that date because he knew they could never had them ready by this time and would rather give my money back to me than deal with me. Terrible way to treat a customer you lied to. I am happy they have a 1 star review because the only truth I got was getting my deposit back. Wouldn't go near this company again. The next time you want to call a customer and deny what you told them and abuse them [Name Removed], just think its not good business practice and you will probably end up with a 1 star. Maybe get someone not so hot headed to deal with customer relations. Bought a second hand van and couldn't be happier. I wouldn't go near this company again. December January February March April forget it. Dangle the carrot elsewhere.

Lumberjack showroom and therefore everything had to be done on line. To obtain a build date for one of their pods we needed to place down a deposit for which we were happy to do.
