Had a month prepaid ,with Lycramobile and was charge auto pay even when i turned off auto pay, after do.\nIng some research , I found that it is a common practise with this company , and they have been fined multiple times from accc, other foreign government agencies. With the files have attached, here is a guideline on how to proceed in getting your money back. They go by people who don't make complaints. Their money stays in their pocket.

Lyca, and when I emailed support they got back to me several days later and resent the confirmation email. So now I had a plan I no longer needed.
But I’d already paid for it. So I waited until my current plant was most expired, then activated the Lyca eSIM to switch over.
First it wouldn’t work trying to do it on my computer. But it finally did doing through the browser on my mobile.
But I wanted to port my existing number in. It said it was in progress - but two days later I still haven’t received any confirmation that my existing number is ported. Instead I’ve got a different phone number with the Lyca eSIM. I’ve got no idea if this is temporary while I wait for my number to port or if it’s not even happening?
The sim is active with the different number but the service is terrible and I can’t even use the internet with it.
And Lyca support is so hard to get hold of, they take days and days to respond to emails. So I’m stuck with my existing plan about to expire, and my phone number in limbo.
I wish I had never signed up with them. I will be porting my number out again to a different service as soon as I possibly can - if it ever comes through. It’s been so frustrating.
Edit: support finally got back to me. The number porting had failed, but I was never notified of this, only told because I followed up and asked. I ended up going with a different provider, which was quick (instant porting on sign up) and have had much better service.

multiple agents. Every interaction feels like starting from scratch, with nobody taking ownership of the problem or providing a meaningful solution.
I am still chasing a refund that Lyca Mobile claims was processed back in April. Despite providing bank statements and evidence showing a discrepancy in the amount received, I continue to receive generic responses that simply repeat that the refund was processed. The actual issue has been ignored for months.
The customer care team appears poorly trained in handling complaints and refund disputes. Instead of investigating the matter, they send scripted responses that do not address the evidence provided. As a customer, it feels like nobody is listening.
The network experience has also been disappointing. There have been multiple occasions where mobile data becomes unusable while on a phone call, which is unacceptable for a telecommunications provider.
After months of wasted time, numerous emails, repeated explanations, and no proper resolution, I am now escalating this matter to the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO).
I rarely leave negative reviews, but after this experience I feel obligated to warn others. If you are considering Lyca Mobile, think carefully before signing up. Based on my experience, poor customer service, poor complaint handling, unresolved refund issues, and unreliable service have made this one of the worst telecommunications experiences I have had.

briefly going back and forth with their support team to troubleshoot and getting nowhere, I decided it wasn't worth it and simply requested a refund...
What followed was a series of slow, drawn-out emails with a mandatory 5–7 day response time on their end?! — even if I replied back within 10 MINUTES of receiving their email!!
The icing on top? The refund I received was LESS than what I was entitled to due to THEIR OWN delays emailing me back to confirm this refund...
But at least they make up for it by profusely apologising for the "inconvenience caused"... No joke, the 5th time they said this, I REALLY started believing they were sorry! Absolutely bonkers.
I would've called them, probably would've made this refund quicker. But getting through on the phone means sitting on hold for over an hour before you get to speak to someone...
MATE, personally I've got better things to do than sit there praying someone out of Aussie even picks up the phone.
I'd actually give them 2 stars, because their plans are genuinely competitive on paper and the service does occasionally work...
BUT your experience will be severely compromised by poor network coverage and even worse customer support.
Besides, who reads 2-star reviews anyway?

I have a TIO complaint because they want to charge me for attaching images to sms. No one else in Australia does it! The service is below standards.
